  • does the pedal need extra power supply ?

  • @hjalmarBuoi No, it doesn't.

  • Your amp light is blue lol.

    Mine is red.

  • @themidniteshow you liked the Tweaker? I couldn't get a good crunchy sound out of mine. I did get gain, but it was more like a smooth distortion. The Bugera seems to have more of a "honky" crunch. Very midrangey, like an English amp, wheras the Tweaker reminded me of a Fender.

  • Is this amp loud enough for small shows?

I'm the guitarist for a two piece post crust band. I play with two amps live, to add a more full sound. I was looking at this do to price and such. Is it loud enough to keep up with a drummer in a non mic'd setting? thanks!

  • @MzaCrack To anyone that says this cant keep up without a drummer without being mic'd. Forgive the sloppy playing and the poor audio. Bugera v22 on gain channel. Gain 4, bass 2, mids 6, treble 5. Run through a bogner open back 2x12 cabinet. ITs plenty loud enough. It rips.

  • @downeasttech

Check out sid2k1 videos. Three shots of my band using that amp in our practice area

  • That over drive sounds freakin' awesome! I didn't expect it!

  • @AwesomeSauce64 I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I've got a Peavey Vypyr with a shark processor in it. My problem with Line 6 is that they sound really cheap compared to other amps in that price range, and yet everybody loves them.

  • Sounds great, holy cow!

Man, don't hurt your ear sitting next to a loud amp.

I know, "OK grandpa" but really, I got tinnitus that way and it sucks.

  • @AwesomeSauce64 Or it will explode? ;-)

  • it sounds like the sweet spot on this amp is with the gain at about 7.5-8 and master at about 6-7.. nice amp, nice video

  • bugera v22 + esp ltd h 100 = ?

  • would it also sound alright at "bedroom volume"?

  • would this amp work for like 70s rock?

  • someone likes joe bonamassa! I just got a v5 and love it! that v22 sounds amazing too though I might have to get one of them too!

  • was that the loudest the amp can go?

  • @sabbath994 no, the master volume is only on like 2 or 3 on this clip...

  • @bluesboyv22 with master only at so low you are not engaging the power amp section and that's why may be this clip sound is so harsh. this video should be redone with the master up may be use an Attenuator to control the volume. Otherwise you don't do justice to the amp.

  • I have this amp, and let me tell you. It's the kind of amp that feels like it's worth even more when it's been worn in. As far as looks go, it gives it some texture, which is nice, and with sound, it's really dirty and sexy. Awesome amp.

  • This Vs the Egnater Tweaker 15 watt... What's your opinion? Lemme know please!

  • could you play in a band with this amp ?

  • @Epikpage most definitely

  • @Epikpage no, you cant, your drummer will be higher than you. 50 watts or more :)

  • @themidniteshow I have played a tweaker at GC and it sounded nice but that amp is a 60% increase in cash layout over the Bugera. If you have the cash that's not an issue but if you don't then the Bugera puts out for the lower price point...

  • I took this amp home for 2 days and took it back and picked up a peavey classic 30. I thought the overdrive channel was wayyyyyyyyyyy better on the c30 than the bugera.

Since we do mostly classic rock the c30 worked out perfectly

  • @Marathonmarch the classic 30 is great small amp (I own one as well) but you have to rember it's almost double the price of the Bugera which puts it at a totally different price point...

  • i really got an question, when you guys put the volume that high, does it not hurt your eardrums?

mabye its because i play my practice amp in a small room...

i wonder if your playing in a big room or not... =p

  • sounds enough gain on two!

  • I'm getting one of these next week,What do you think of the volume I presume you are happy when You're giggin'?I dunno wether to get this or the V55.Sounds perfect for a Rory Gallagher tone if tweaked but how is it for a SRV / Jimi tone?

  • did you have any problem with your amp because I heard that components were very cheap and unreliable ??

  • any chance of getting a good video with this amp + a drive pedal? like a Ibanez or something?

  • @burritoleader check my other vids I have one with a Fulltone OCD pedal and one with a transparent overdrive aka Timmy pedal clone...

  • Would this amp be good to get a hard rocking sound? Something like Guns N Roses, Skid Row, Metallica (Load/Garage inc era)...

I have a Les Paul and I'm thinking to buy a valve amp, not much expensive, to get that Marshall + Les Paul kind of sound. I don't know if this amp would be good for that propose...

  • hello dude..i'm interested for this amp and I would like to know,if it's appropriate for hard rock sound..Do you think it's enough??Or I would need a metal zone pedal in addition??

  • i want a blues and rock amp, but i also wants to play som extreme metal from time to time, could i then just plug in my boss metalcore and get som decent metal tones? (the metalcore isnt great but it works)

  • With the gain turned up, would this amp have a metal "chugging" sound for palm muting?

  • @goldfish881 , I ran this amp into a 2x12 cab with V30's and it rocks pretty hard, yeah you could get some chugging but you really want an amp with E34 tubes if you're rocking that hard...

  • @goldfish881 this sounds more like an AC30 but less perfect and more gain available so it doesnt really go metal zone. unless you plug a pedal into it which you should anyways. i use a big muff

  • Nice dude rockin the ratt and MINT sound

  • how much gain does it take for you to get nice feedback ?

  • @OfficialRobbieMason , need to crank her up pretty loud for her to feedback, but of course what level will be dependent upon what pickups you have and what if any pedals you run going into the front end of the amp.

  • Your videos sold me one of these, good job.

  • That's like the ideal classic rock tone right there

  • mid boost is off...

  • Sounded like some pure saturated fat at halfway up, but even at the highest gain setting, it seems to maintain clarity, I can't believe these things go for 350 new! Gotta get me one! Thanks for the demo, I am on my way to the store now!

  • That first riff u played was Ratt "Slip of the Lip" lol

  • yep, a dude at work let me listen to a Ratt greatest hits cd and that one stuck in my mind...

  • thank you for actually showing something useful!

  • That's niez gain. I play melodic hardcore, and that thing actually has more gain than I need. I might look for one of these cheap on ebay.

  • this is it.. this was the amp i was looking for.. :D!!!

  • these little amps are really starting to appeal to me... any1 had one for a long time yet???? like is there any problems? i only ask cos they are so cheap its unreal, and the tones ive heard are pretty immpressive... i wont be using it for gigs cos ive a dsl100 for that... so folks any info would be great :]

  • will emg's work well with this amp,and can it produce a nice metal sound. tool and deftones sounds.

  • @killariz21 lol, are you thick as pigshit? go read a book and educate yourself, bitch.

  • I can't wait to get one I think that it sounded fantastic at every interval of gain. You can't get that much gain from many vintage style tube amps. I love the vintage gain from most vintage style amps there just usually isn't enough of it. The only other amp I know that does vintage this well are the Carvin vintage series of amps (the nomad and Bel-Air) but for the nomad you'll pay 100 bucks more. You do get some more wattage and more tubes which in my opinion is always a good thing.

  • is it loud enough to gig? if not, does it mic well?

  • This amp is too good to be true (cheap but sounds great!) Any issue's?

  • same here, like 300$ i played it today at alocal guitarcenter i was like wtf. it kills the Line 6 valve. it just sound ahmazing escpecially thorugh an American Standard

  • anything kills the line 6 because Line 6 sucks

  • @stripesthebird - couldnt have said it any better, Line 6 is crap.

  • @stripesthebird except the line 6 DL4!

  • @stripesthebird

solid state will almost always lose out to tube if they are the same price.

  • @stripesthebird I hate them. Pieces of crap.

  • i own one and love it. no issues what so ever except a little tube rattle but that can easily be done away with

  • bugera owners try these settings for metal with humbuckers

    Gain:10

    Volume:10

    Bass:5

    MId:7

    Treble:7

    Master: to taste

    Presence:8

    Reverb: to taste

  • Hey, is that Master Volume Post-Phase Inverter? So you could dime out the gain and volume, but, keep it at bedroom levels?

  • absolutely...

  • @bluesboyv22 can you get a angus young typ of sound out of it ???

  • @bluesboyv22 Could you please tell me the rest of the amp's settings? BTW, what's up with all those people saying that this amp can't handle metal? IMO, with the gain past 7, sounds pretty much like metal.

  • @PrEtTyLuSh05 They're probably talking about more modern metal, which is almost unachievable with any amp on it's own, but just throwing a disortion pedal in front of one of these "Not metal enough" amps can usually fix that, and it;s a lot more versatile than an amp made for modern metal, so in conclusion, people don't know what they're talking about!

  • It's a great amp. I bought one this weekend and can't stop playing it. My Blues Junior is now for sale. It's got great low end for a 1x12 and lots of headroom. The clean channel is creamy and really accentuates the quack and chime of a strat. The overdrive channel is as good as any pedal and has a million different settings between the gain, volume and master knobs plus EQ.

  • The distortion at the start sounded the best... great tone!

  • Great riff,

but is that really a 1x12 amp ? He looks like a 1x10...

(escuse my for my bad english, i'm french)

  • @Masm52 yes it is a 1x12, I own one. nice amp

  • Slip of the lip by RATT! great riff.

  • nice amp and playing bluesboy!! i'm waiting that amp myself, hope to be playing it this sunday, cheers!

  • Thanks for posting this, I think I've made my mind up to get one. Great riff too....Slip of the Lip/Ratt is it?

  • Do you think this could handle metal well?

  • if you use pedals then probably but not out of the box

  • great riff and nice amp!

  • Do you think you could gig with this amp 165 days out of the year? How reliable is it?

  • Why do a demo of a 'driven' sound w/o playing some lead too? ----------

  • @vampyros1 - because AC/DC couldn't exist without a guy named Malcolm... rhythm is the backbone of a song, it couldn't exist without it - leads are just decoration.

  • @tony93666 Firstly, I really don't care about AC/DC. Secondly, while I do agree w/you that rhythm is the backbone of a song, I would add that it need not >necessarily< be strummed rhythm as there are too many cool, intricate figure-type nuances that can be done to embellish. Alas, that "leads are just decoration" is totally inaccurate. The 'rub' is that they have to SERVE the song, because anything less will detract from it, and that is no different than any sound on any recording.

  • @vampyros1 BECAUS there are millions of lead demos and a lot less rythm :) so I'm glad it was all rythm..

  • @stevoe1000 Lead playing from other demo's have nothing to do with the amp, guitar, and pickup settings for this demo-

  • @vampyros1 but I'm saying it's good to heat more rythm as there are less rythm demos out there..I'm sure you can easily find lead demos a lot easier..

  • Thanks for posting these videos man. Would you be willing to post one with the reverb cranked all the way on the clean channel? I'd like to see how it would do for reggae and surf. Thanks again.

  • now I feel like an ass, whining about turning the gain up :)

    thanks for the review,

  • Yes, a new slew of these has popped up in the last few days,

This generation of New Bugeras, is a marked improvement over the 1st gen of big, hi gain amps!

Now if they just used GOOD speakers in the combos,

    theyd have a REAL winner!

Also check out the Seymour Duncan Pickup booster pedal. 6-25dB clean gain (NO distortion & transparant) will add more gain, or as a solo boost cos these amps have NO boost circuit on the FX loop!

    I found a 2nd hand 1 locally for less than 1/2 price.

  • the speakers in their combos are fine. Whoever told you different doesn't know what they're talking about. It takes some wearing in, but other than that they're fine. No nasty speaker distortion.

  • Good to hear. Theyre ok, but nothing special. I've tried both ways, better quality speakers do make a difference.

The Bugera speakers just lack some warmth and articulation, BUT no distortion which is a GOOD thing.

These speakers may be somewhat better than than the 1s in the 1st gen, hi-gain amp combos & quads!
