FINALLY! :D some ones who really sees the truth! Mmorpg is an mmorpg no matters! i play wow, i played AoC too, and they are both great! and other mmorpgs surely are great too! But i hate those who says "WoW's better" "Warhammer's better" "AoC's better" IT'S JUST A GOD DAMN MMORPG!
The graphics might be better then wows but the game looks... "average" not exactly what i was expecting out of a game called "War"hammer, Wheres the war?
These games, these games! They always need more animation. It makes no sense for two folks locked in mortal combat to stand staring at each other and swinging a sword every 5 seconds. All ya need is a little feint, a little dodge thrown in to make 'em look like their sizing each other up. But no. Stare down, stare down, stare down, smack! Repeat. Sigh.
I doubt there is very much dodging, parrying or dancing around at level 1 or 2... seing as in "these games" you need high stats and high level if you want your character to dodge attacks.
Not talking about functional dodging, just talking about *animation.* Wouldn't take much to make them *look* like they're fighting--no "deep combat," no level issues--my complaint is purely aesthetic.
if you want a game with a much deeper combat system look up age of conan, i was going to get it until the hundreds of glitches and patches which actually made the game worse >_>
These games aren't exactly aiming for realism. I agree though, game art departments these days seem to think poly count and texture size make the visual experience better, when in fact animation is what gives games life and character. Doesn't seem like anyone but Rockstar or Blizzard has caught on yet, though.
nobody cares what mmo you like better people
