  • with petries tone, you could tell he hit the jackpot.

  • The Genius who picked Tyreke over Rubio...will save Sac-Town.

  • they made da rite pick best player

in dA DRAFT PERIOD ALL AROUND PLAYER

  • That is a bold statement nba mock. I tihink it is a great decision to pick tyreke evans

  • Although Evans is surely a nice player, they had to pick Rubio. Evans won't ever be the kind of player that Sacramento needs to be a title contender, because he is not a Point Guard... He can play has it, but this is not is role, even he managed to play as a PG at Memphis... He remebers me Gilbert Arenas, but the matter is that Sacramento already has a scorer... I think the Kings will become a great time, but if they don't get a real playmaker, they won't win...

  • Wow you are way off. Evans wont be the player the KIngs need to be a title contender? I will go with Petrie overtyour opinion. Martin is a scorer but is not penetrator . The fact thhat he is a scorer is irrelevant. The kings needed a player thant can get to the basket, draw fouls, and above all draw help, double teams and rotations to set up teammates up.Evans presence has help martin get easier shots the 1st few games of the season. Scoring average is up by 5 points. You are way off.

  • time=team has=as even=even if

  • Made the right choice. Strong build, natural scoring instincts, creative ball handling skills, exceptional finisher with contact, potential exceptional defender(length, quickness, aggressivness) potential playmaker(penetration will cause consistent double teams and rotations).

  • Yes but he is not a pg at all... Rubio has not scoring instincts, but he has experience, he is a super defender, and he has the potential to become a new Jason Kidd... Kings already have a player that can score! Why did Petrie prefer a combo guard to a true playmaker that has the same potential of becoming a star as Evans? The truth is that Petrie decided not to risk because he didn't like to bet on a player that seems to lack speed to play in the NBA... Will this choice be winning?

  • Are you listening to yourself? What is your playmaker in your opinion? General consensus is a player that can create plays off their own skills in minimal time to either score or set up teammates. Evans has exceptional scoring skils and is a huge mismatch that requires double teams due to his size and skills which allows him to get his teammates easy shots. Rubio does not require double teams to cover. That alone gives him a tremendous prospect advantage over Rubio.

  • Yes but Evans wasn't at College "a player that can create plays"... If he will become a pg, no matter his choice will be winning... But when he picked him, he simply wasn't...

  • Wow once again you have no idea what you are talking about. He entered into college as the best on ball playmaker in the fresman class(Jennings went to Europe). After Calipari gave him the ball Memphis won 26 straight games and Evans was named Freshman of the Year. Dominated his competition. Another Rubio European fan. Too many hopes in this kid.

  • Wow, being Freshman of the Year in season where there wasn't any other Freshman ready to play in the NBA (because, as you can see from his recent results, DeRozan is a work in progress and he doesn't even know how to defend on BOGANS, and Monroe played well only vs Thabeet (bust)) and where the Freshman class sucked hard (4 Freshman drafted) is really impressive! I'm not saying he isn't good. I'm saying he is a combo guard. Ty Lawson is a PG. Rubio is a PG. Jenning is a PG. Flynn is a PG.

  • Remember Petrie saw all the top point guards in the draft ancluding Rubio and still chose Evans after he dominated Curry, and the others in workouts. Sorry he made the right choice. Westphal is adapting him to the system well.

  • i like the pick
