Most people in Canada are in fact immigrants. People either immigrated themselves or are children of immigrants. We all came from another part of the world before coming to Canada and calling it home.
crew I differ with what you are saying about Kirsty Duncan. She has a strong connection with the community. First off, she is a life long resident of Etobicoke.
She has a substantial resume that makes her much more qualified to be an MP than any of her fellow candidates. I encourage people to google her name and you will see for yourself as to who she is and you will be able to make a sound decision when exercising your right to vote a right that was fought for with the loss of life.
Check out the other candidates for Etobicoke North.
Google: Bob Saroya The Conservative candidate for Etobicoke North.
Google: Ali Naqvi The NDP candidate for Etobicoke North.
The Conservative and NDP candidates of Etobicoke North have a connection with most residents of the community, both the NDP and Conservative candidates are from foreign countries overseas, they were immigrants to Canada several decades ago, and they have a lot more in common with the community unlike Duncan.
The majority of Etobicoke North voters have an ethnic background, and are also a part of visible minority groups and are from foreign countries overseas.
The good news is that the Conservative and NDP candidates do have an ethnic connection with the community, Bob Saroya the Conservative candiate for Etobicoke North and Ali Naqvi the NDP candiate for Etobicoke North are both members of visible minority groups they both have been foreign immigrants like the majority of Etobicoke North residents.
The majority of the residents of Etobicoke North are immigrants and members of visible minority groups. Etobioke North is one of the most multiculturally diverse community in Canada.
Unfortunately Kirsty Duncan has no connection with the community, she is not an immigrant or member of a visible minority group, therefore Etobicoke North will be misrepresented in Ottawa if it is represtented by a white/caucasion person.
Born and raised in Etobicoke? Not in Rexdale though. Lived her whole life there?? Except for now!
Committed to the community? Just not enough to live there!
Why didnt the Liberals let the local riding association nominate someone from the community? Shame! Same old Liberals!
