Actually she lost by so little I think its fair to argue that we don't know how much the sexism (which involves all the double standards used against her) contributed to her defeat. Yes, there were negative opinions voiced about Hillary, but not all of them were sexist. It is not sexist to voice a negative opinion about a woman running for office. In my opinion, she ran a horrible campaign, and that is what brought on the criticism. She was mired in the old attack dog style and could not put a consistent message together. Her insistence on counting Michigan and Florida, though, really ripped it for me- elections she agreed to ignore, then called for when she was behind.
The overall tone with Hillary was completly different. I never heard Obama refered to as somone with multiple personality disorder when he went from attacking Hillary to talking about the issues! Sexism or not, the members of the media shown in this video acted completely unprofessionally and were, in most cases, blatantly inaccurate. For Matthews to say that Clinton was only voted into the Senate because her husband fooled around is ludacris! Clinton is a strong, smart woman who has devoted her entire adult life to serving this country. No matter how you may feel about her politics, nobody can deny that she has worked very hard to get where she is.

I did not say that there was no misogyny. I said that there was no misogyny by Senator Obama. I did not see a vast misogynistic attitude, but a few who, through ignorance or poor taste, said things that were over the line. If you, if we all truly want change, we do so by teaching our children to respect women. As for Senator Clinton, she was taken seriously by the voters, who denied her based on her poor campaign. She didn't lose because of misogyny, but because she ran a bad campaign.

Actually she lost by so little I think its fair to argue that we don't know how much the sexism (which involves all the double standards used against her) contributed to her defeat. I do agree she could've ran a better campaign...but Obama essentially got not thing but praise in Jan-Feb while negative opinion after negative opinion on Hillary was voiced.

Yes, there were negative opinions voiced about Hillary, but not all of them were sexist. It is not sexist to voice a negative opinion about a woman running for office. In my opinion, she ran a horrible campaign, and that is what brought on the criticism. She was mired in the old attack dog style and could not put a consistent message together. Her insistence on counting Michigan and Florida, though, really ripped it for me- elections she agreed to ignore, then called for when she was behind.

The overall tone with Hillary was completly different. I never heard Obama refered to as somone with multiple personality disorder when he went from attacking Hillary to talking about the issues! (And he started doing it first) She was crucified over her war vote (on a Double Standard) The fact is its easier to make a woman look like a villan and the Obama Campaign succeded in that. (a continuation of the above) Surely there was, without a doubt, some sexist talk which had no bearing on the issues. However, I don't believe that it contributed significantly at all. It's similar to the people who wouldn't vote for Obama because he's black. They are out there, but their votes mattered little. Although this is not produced by PUMA, it has been cited by them as evidence of the misogyny against Hillary. Their point is that it caused her defeat. It did not.

(they should've never been ignored, Iowa and New Hampshire do not always need to be first and seconldy I don't know how any rationale person could be for ignoring two states when a primary battle as close as this one was going on.) First of all, you shouldn't use that song that you play in the beginning--it used to be dramatic but it's been so overused by all the "IS ____ THE ANTI-CHRIST?" videos that it just sounds cheesy now.
Second, why is Olbermann on here? Nothing he said in any of these clips is even remotely sexist, unlike all the others. I know he can get over the top sometimes but he checks all his facts and takes his responsibility to the public seriously. Why put HIM up against Murrow?

also if you actually look at the electoral college, Hillary beats Barack AND McCain. If you look at the polls of McCain vs Hillary, McCain loses by 6-7 points. Barack NEEDS Hillary supporters way more than Hillary needs his supporters. Hillary wins in all the major democratic states, and all the big states. She would win easily Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, which Barack has to fight for. Hillary would win Ohio by a landslide, Obama needs to fight for that.

listen, as a European I just want America back on the right track and not another 4 years of sabre-rattling. To me Obama is dialogue, he can LISTEN - something which Bush did not. I think he could a much better job with his attitude to push forward issues like peace on the Midle-East, ending the war in Iraq etc. I see you're a Hillary supporter and I deeply respect her, but why can't you get over it?
