Still no reason though to be looking for extras the way they did. These films get tax incentives to film in Toronto, and part of the reason they do is because they are suppose to put money back in the local economy. I hear people saying "oh, its only extra work." But there are people who depend on that money. If they had made an arrangement with the union to do this, I wouldn't have a problem. Fact is, if you can't pay for something, then you shouldn't be filming it.

This was an amazing opportunity for fans of the original movie, movie fans in general to be a part of the action. I would have been more than proud to have taken part as an extra, for FREE!! if I was able to get time off work. Many filmmakers wouldn't even extend such an offer to people to be part of their movie...thank you to the entire cast & crew for giving something back to all of us movie fans!

It was an opportunity for fans to take part in the film. There are plenty of paying acting gigs out there. Go to auditions, get an agent, network with people in the industry. Movie fans such as myself aren't taking your jobs away...it's your poor attitude that is probably spoiling things for you.
