  • really good tribute to the member who is missed. so much talent. so much loss. this video shows how much symbiosis is required for a GOOD band. how sad that we are not getting the full effect 25 years later. nice video.

  • Freddie will be spining in his grave...

  • The feeling you get watching this gives you tears or joy and sadness for Freddie! This is a show I wish I could have seen.

  • JOE ELLIOTT :D

  • Nobody could move an audience like Freddy!! Saw him in Germany in 81. Will never forget it

  • This is what you wanted, this is what you're gonna get, get, get, get, get, get.......

  • "the hero" i'm totally agree!!

  • you guys sure that slash is not brians song or brother lol there hair are simmar rock on slash and brain R.I.P freddie

  • The best VOICE !!!!!

  • XD at Brian and Slash's hair. I reckon Queen's songs are one of the hardest to make a good cover on because Freddie's voice just suits them so well and so does Brian's guitar but he sung well here. R.I.P Freddie!

  • slash is probably the coolest human being

  • what year was this

  • @theoneandonlypda Easter Monday April 20, 1992

  • Slash must be the MOST OVERRATED guitarist EVER. I like his taste in music but a guitar wiz he ain't for sure. Only a total music laic can compare Brian and him.

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeop

  • bring back the old hits ..

  • Brian May singing 'tie your mother down'?

    Brian May is God!!!

  • Michael Jackson.....FAGGOT if u read Slash's book "Slash" Michael Jackson had little kids and toys backstage with him at his concerts!!!!

  • john and his dance - the show itself ;D

  • They are starting filming on the Queen Movie and Sacha Baron Cohen is playing Freddie Mercury, I was stunned! But he does look like him

  • Brian's got some pipes. he could have been lead singer. Joe was perfect for this song too, and Slash made it something like a dream

  • Why all the hate to MJ?

You guys know theres a difference on a memmorial and a tribiute concert right???

  • Slash just isn't up to Brain May's expert abilities. Not his style.

  • @guitarconasor no! hes way better than Brian..

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarconasor Appetite for Destruction is the biggest selling debut album of all time.. And Contraband is the fastest selling debut album of all time

  • @MrAndreSChr Queen's sales are over 300 million. Where do you get your information?

  • @guitarconasor The W. Axl Rose biography written by Mick Wall... Well Queen has also made more albums than Slash's various project... Besides can sales not prove who is the best guitarist...

  • you missed the joe elliot part!!!

  • KICK ASS!!

  • How the hell are there 9 dislikes to this?!?

  • @bensimps123

Michael Jackson's Memorial sucked, they got the worst artists ever to play in it, I was suprised all the huge rock n rollers didnt attend it. Plus the FMTC was seen by every rson who owned a television set.

  • the best tribute they could do was rock there hearts out and they did!! freddie would be proud.

  • Slash is good but he can't compare to Brian and the Red Special. One of Brian's more hardcore compositions.

  • Brian can sing!

  • This is why i love YOUTUBE so much ! :) Every now n then you can be, even for a moment, a part of something epic ,) Thanks for UL .) 10 stars

  • slash is such an icon

  • who's singing after brian may??????????

  • @tony7245

    Joe Elliot

  • @GibsonVienna thank you

  • @tony7245 Joe Elliott from Def Leppard

  • Brian May makes a commanding presence on lead vocals! Who knew?

  • Very amazing how brian sang at first verse !

    Excellent !

  • 2 guitar LEGENDS in a tribute for the BEST SINGER EVER!!!!!!!!!!

    R.I.P Freddie Mercury.

  • fantástico sensacional !!!!!

  • slash is just....aaaaaa.....FANTASTIC!!!!

  • joe elliot.. wow.. tht was awesome. rip freddie

  • father and son at work ? (Brian N' Slash)

  • If a concert strat like that... you can just DIE immediatly.

    TOO MUCH ADRENALINE....

  • What Slash Whispered at Bryan's ear ??

Glad to play with you master .

  • its Brian my friend, and yes, he is The Master!

  • Told him: "I like your hair..." lol

  • MJ's Memorial was , a show off .

Freddie's tribute concert was FOR Freddie and for a certain cause ( Fight HIV/AIDS)

BTW slash , this was the only show you couldn't steal . It was stolen allready by freddie himself .

  • @Whitesnake23GR you are right, but look how the crowd go crazzy when slash came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Whitesnake23GR

Yeah it sure was, it didnt have many cool musicians either. I am suprised Rod Stewart was not in it ,especially since him, Freddie and Elton John were gonna make a group called "Hair, Teeth and Nose"

  • @Whitesnake23GR The only artist that came even remotely close to Freddie that performed at the MJ memorial was Mariah Carey, And with all do respect to Mariah she is not Freddie. She's an accomplished award wining singer, #1 singles, platinum albums but she's not Freddie. He was in like another zone, every time he stepped on stage. There will never be another like him.

  • Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert > Michael Jackson Memorial

  • Freddie is just the BEST SINGER IN NOT ONLY rock n roll but in GENERAL i dont listen to Queen a lot im a Hardcore GNR fan but man he just has gods voice

  • @pfootball43 wot u mean?

  • @pfootball43 Michael Jackson was a FAGGOT if u read Slash's Book "Slash" your read that Michael had little kids and toys backstage at his shows if that doesnt show who exactally who Michael Jackson was and is IDK what will

  • @NeilPeartjr

WTF? I've read Slash's book twice and never seen that. AND I've never heard that til now from an immature homophobic fool

  • sensacional!!!!!!

  • Oh Freddy, I miss SO MUCH

  • This song and specially this presentation Fucking Rules!!!

  • Damn, I have to sing and play guitar for this at a concert this saturday. Believe me, this song is hard to sing with my vocal range XD

  • Man, joe elliot is good, but slash and queen go together like oil and water.

  • that was killer...Joe Elliott and Slash rocked.

  • The guy singing the second verse is Joe Elliot of Def Leppard.

  • SICK

  • Why is it sick? Or is there something else with that word? Why can't people jsut speak english?

  • sick = awesome, where I come from

  • Sorry dude, I'm from Earth. Here Awesome=Awsome, Sick=....Sick (Not feeling good). How are people supposed to know what you are talking about when you use words that WE know all our lives and what they ORIGINALLY mean?

  • Comment removed

  • Is that Martian for something? Lol.

  • either way, cheers dude,

  • Slash rules and so does Queen

  • A great openning for this great concert!!!!!

  • Joe elliot

    adams? May..

  • who take bryan adams place for singing

  • ...slash - what´s that? Sounds like something to clean up the floor.... ;-)

He came in, focussed on smoking a cigarette, never found a way to join, played the poor riffs, he´s able to and went away.

  • ooooo

    face of

    brian vs. slash

  • brian of course

  • es genial,

    brian y slash juntos.

  • Slash should include Brian as a guest on his new album, that would be awesome.

  • oh man that wud be tight!

  • I FUCKING LOVE SLASH!!!

  • what a fantastic vid, i would have loved to have seen that concert

  • slash is the god of guitar heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • not really brian is way better

  • Amazing moment!

  • When I first seen this way back when on MTV. When it got to this section of the concert I was completely blown away. The crowd as massive as they are, are all jumping at the same time. When a band can come on stage and get that kind of power and energy going it goes to show you have one hell of a band up there.

To date, this is the best concert I ever seen. I`m willing to bet nobody left this show feeling short changed. Long Live Queen!

  • lol add slash to any concert and it just gets 10X cooler

  • awesome!

  • Two of the worlds greatest ever guitarists playing one of te worlds greatest ever songs, hair's similair to lol.

    Long live queen and freddie

    and slash.

  • Damn, I can't hear Brian May's solo at all!

  • still ur hearing rock!

  • Queen are the best band ever period.

  • SLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • despite evrything I believe :there must be a god somewhere out there!

  • cosa non avrei dato per essere lì e vedere dal vivo slash e brian suonare insieme

  • Pure io!

  • freddie was so good he animated his fans to sing exactly what he said

  • Awesomly cool

  • leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroooooooooo :)

    FREDDIE VIVE (FREDDIE LIVE´S)

Lo mas grande que hubo en el mundo

  • Who's singing?

  • Joe Elliot from Def Leppard

  • Queen and Guns and Roses are one of the biggest rock bands ever

  • they are my favourite rock bands aswell :D Along with AC/DC

  • deep purple too

  • Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeero

    LEEEEEEEEEEROOOO

    LoL

    Freddy Mercury RIP :(

    Now he is with god

  • Freddie Mercury, saudades eternas!!!!!!

  • no they werent you arse they were heavy rock

  • lol gnr werent glam. if u think that then you know nothing about music and music styles

  • oh no! you found me out! ...even if guns fit the definition of glam perfectly, almost as if that's what they were aiming for.

  • Well what's the definiton of glam? Hmm? GNR put Rock and Roll and Hard Rock on the right track again. What's Glam about that kiddo?

  • Glam is their image. The hair, the clothes, the look. Nothing that play is different from 70s hard rock acts (or glam rock acts). Nothing that Slash plays hasn't been done by Page and the other biggies.

The music is rock, sure, but they are a Glam band. They sold the music they loved with an image that their generation was inclined towards.

  • there's nothing glam about them. I'm not seeing any spandex, I see some leather but thats metal. The only video in which any of them had big hair was in the Welcome to the Jungle and that was Axl. Glam rock would be a band like Poison. GnR looks nothing like Poison.

  • They're not a hair band, they're a Glam rock/glam metal band.

  • The comments to this video made me laugh.

sure, Queen became a bit poppy in the eighties, but in the beginning they were more heavy than GnR will ever be. I mean, GnR was a perfect Glam Rock band, but they were never as explosive as classic Queen

  • GNR wasnt glam lolz.

  • Yeah! And Slayer isn't metal!

  • Seriously though. Guns and Roses sounded nothing like the other "glam" bands at the time. But because they had big hair, which still didn't look quite the same as warrant, winger and stuff, they got lumped in with them.. They have a much harder sound than what is known as glam. Its hard rock. They didn't even act the same or look the same as the glam bands. Guns and Roses despised the glam movement, their roots were in Rose Tattoo, punk bands like the misfits and hard blues rock.

  • And just because Warrant and Winger look just like those other glam bands that they're thrown in with, people seem to assume that they sound just like them too. And from that ignorance, guitarists like Reb (winger) are less known than less-than-creative chums like ol' Slash. Who isn't glam of course.

  • True. I still think Slash gets a bad rap just for the hell of it. He may not be the most technically skilled or technically creative, but you have to admit, in his prime he wrote a fair few very good songs, even if you don't like them. They weren't a stereotypical glam band at all.

  • Well they were unique in that they took everything from older artists and put it into a modern context. It's not that they were vastly creative, it's just that the world needed something like GnR at the time. Not a stereotypical glam band, but a glam band all the same.

    And I didn't say that I don't like them, I love GnR :D

  • Oh cool. I agree.

  • even though they were a bit "poppy", live they still kept their rock sound :)

  • excuse me, im reading comments now and.. wtf... i mean Guns N'Roses are best hard rock band ever thats true... but not JUST BETTER band than Queen becouse thx to Queen we have such great songs as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You or We Are The Champions, officialy Queen is second most popular band after The Beatles, Queen have best live performance (Live Aid) and they are one of most important bands in music history you know...

  • Thin Lizzy was better than GNR.

    With Lynott I mean.

    No comparison.

  • acdc led zep black sabbath to name a few are way better than gnr

  • thats a matter of personal opinion though

  • that's true haha

  • THANK YOU!!!!! finally someone who really knows about this

  • @hanadulsarutobi Thats cause they had singers that could sing. Axl Rose can't hold a candle to either Robert Plant Bon Scott or Ozzy. Not a chance!

BRIAN MAY IS THE BEST ever!!

  • simply amazing......nice one slash!!

  • wow i always heavily apreciated bryan may as a guitarist, little did i know that he could also sing.

  • you should so listen to his solo albums, especially the first one Back to the Light. But its very personal stuff so it might feel a bit overwhelming and not be for everyone. And yeah he sings every song on it.

  • Well Chris Harvey I think ur wrong in this one because I think slash is a great player. But brain may youve got to keep in mind is a fuckin amazing player. I think u might just be one of these guys that secretly jerks off to guns and roses vids on you tube it off your arse and get yer hole. HA

  • 2 great guitarist why compare these 2? probably worstest thing to do

  • gooood very goood!!!! queen rock hard for eveer!!!!

  • i much prefer may and esp elliot on vocals, and slash is better then may at least here for sure

  • slash better than may! What planet are you from!!!!May has his own individual style and sound unlike slash who just sounds like any other 80s american guitar player. Man do some research or better yet learn an instrument then you will see for sure.

  • hahaha classic, beautiful. I love it. that comment has made my day, I play guitar for one, and you act like you know what your on about then say 'slash sounds like anyone from the 80s', thats the point with slash is he came out in the 80s with a style from the classic rock of the 60s/70s. during the 80s everyone was playing fast (legato influenced by eddie van halen/ thrash ect.). you clearly are a total moron. Yet you think you know the first thing about guitar music, what an absolute knob.

  • Well chrisharvey I have seen guns and roses, queen and velvet revolver and have been playing the guitar for 15 years (have you seen all 3 live) and slash does not have a style from the 60s/70s. As I have seen both live I think I know who is a better player live. . You sound young so I am not going to result to calling you names over the internet. matura a littele then I will talk to you.

  • are you kidding? everyone knows slash takes his style from mainly early aerosmith, ie joe perry he says so himself, and jimmy page. You refer to an 80s style as randy rhoads, van halen ect not slower melodic stuff like slash plays. how does seeing them live stop you from being retarded? slash is a better performer live, maybe not a player but then his stuff is more complex then mays anyway. Both are great but clearly you've not been learning much in the last 15 years to call slash's style 80s

  • When did I refer to 80's guitar playing as Randy Rhoads, van halen and I think you are the having a laugh when u say slash's playing is more complex. You truly belong in a mental home. I get the feeling you prefer the the big hat and fag hanging out the mouth look. cause its fuck all to do with playing. You my friend are a tit.

  • 'you' doesn't in that context refer to you personally, 'one would...' god you have to be spoonfed basic grammar. Also if I'm listening to a GNR album, can i see Slash's hat and fag? no. Anyway Slash's fag was nothing compared to Brians hahahaha

  • At the End of the day Queen including brian May (who happens to be one of slash's idols) and that "Fag" you are refering to are a far bigger band than any of slash's they are far better players than GNR, have far more fans and are altogether a better band. You are a mongo (that is also fact)

  • in this case bigger= more mainstream, queen are a radio friendly pop band, GNR are a hard rock band who were never going to get (or want) the exposure to the masses of pop fans. GNR is better music 'at the end of the day'. Duff mckaegan is regarded as one of the best bassists of his style, and izzy stradlin is also a great songwriter as well as a rythm guitarists. Steven Adler was a great simple drummer, and Mat Sorum a great technical one, no ones heard of the other members of queen be quite

  • Its nothing to do with mainstream, Queen are just a bigger and better band its that simple. And if you r gonna talk about the members talent duff(Wish I was a sex pistol)is not in the same league as john deacon, and roger taylor is a far better drummer than both matt and steve. All of queens members are household names unlike steve adler and sid vicous(sorry duff) Do me a favour and listen to ogre battle then tell me if they are a friendly pop band.

  • what is wrong with you, Duff is rated by critics none of the other members of queen are even heard of. It was always the Freddie Mercury show, with May getting some credit. Anyone can name the odd song thats heavier than others for a band, but Bohemian rhapsody and all the other crap they released cannot be called rock music at all. Call it good pop fine, but its not rock and certainly doesnt compare to GNR. But it's all opinion anyway, only you also have your facts wrong.

  • Also ever heard of Duff Mckaegans Loaded, or Adlers appetite? Don't see Queens drummer and bassist with their own band

  • What the fuck is wrong with you. ever heard of under pressure,I want to break free, radio gaga, kind of magic, another one bites the dust, youre my best friend,we will rock you. All these songs are lengendary and were wrote by taylor and deacon, not mercury or may. What songs have adler and duff wrote that are as famous and well known as these. Get your fuckin facts right you knob

  • they all wrote songs, try reading the credits (if you can) in fact Izzy Stradlin was a main songwriter (thats the rythm guitarist since you probably don't know)

  • And another thing, to call queens music crap is a fucking joking coming from a GNR fan who likes randy rhoades, def lepperd and all these other shitty stupid fucking bands who haven't and never will write a song as good as bohemian Rhapsody or Somebody to Love. Give it up and gain a fuckin musical education. I recommend the beatles, or are they also shit compared to your beloved GNR!!!

  • do you even know who rhoads is? let alone own one of his albums? if you dont like guns why go see them or was that bullshit. You're problem is you just like soft pop shit, yes i do hate the beatles they are so overrated and credited with things they didnt do, chuck berry was more influencial but people don't mention him. The musics boring and and corny. Civil War is lyrically better then bohemian rhapshitty, and all their music is better cos its genuine.ACDC Sabbath Zeppelin Metallica all shit?

  • Listen, I will not spend any more time debating with you on musical opinions, because that is all it is,opinion and you are entitled to yours as well as I am entitled to mine. deal or no deal?

  • fine with me, Id just suggest you get your own taste and not just like what everyone else does.

  • I have gt my own taste and that is Queen, the beatles, thin lizzy, deep purple, rainbow, nazareth,Led Zepplin,Jimi Hendrix experience, pink floyd. This is what I like to listen and have been so since the age of 6 or something.

  • A lot of people like gnr but have I said that to you,no I haven't so get a grip

  • I have gt my own taste and that is Queen, the beatles, thin lizzy, deep purple, rainbow, nazareth,Led Zepplin,Jimi Hendrix experience, pink floyd. This is what I like to listen to and have been doing so since the age of 6 or something.

  • i know im not in this argument

but as a loyal queen fan, i must chime in.

roger taylor, the drummer, did have his own band for a little while called the cross. john however, did not have his own band. still, he was so amazing he didn't need one.

  • Obviously you don't know anything about Queen. You don't know their liveperfomances. Your opinion is based on what their biggest singlehits are. (Break Free, Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing,,, etc..) but you don't know anything about their ROCKconcerts in the 70's, Freddie was without Brian, Roger and John not half the artist as he was with Queen. Listen to his solorecords and ou konw waht I mean. Roger Taylor had his own band (The Cross) and made several albums and toured. Search on Youtube,

  • queen is not pop

  • Its like a side show bob convention!!!
