  • @gigi1182- my voice didn't change at all. However, before the surgery, I had significant problems with being sick for a very long time and it would affect my voice negatively. Now, even if I do get ill, the recovery is much quicker. It continues to be one of the best things I have ever done for myself ! best wishes with your surgery! Let me know how it goes!

  • Did your voice change? I'm having my surgery on Feb 8th! so excited! But I'm a music/choir teacher and am nervous my voice might change...

  • @arooipaki- no, the shape of my nose on the outside didn't change at all. however, I am certain that the inside changed dramatically. Again, I just can't believe that I easily endure the allergy seaons with no illness at all, and I just take nasal spray about daily and then some suphedrine from time to time when I need it. great question! best wishes!

  • did the shape of your nose improve or change??

  • @kdowning73- best wishes with your surgery! I am now around 18 months out from my surgery and have only had to be on antibiotics one time- one illness in one year as opposed to 6-8! When I went in to the doctor office, they looked at my chart and said- wow, you have been well for quite a while! yes, indeed! again, I am so pleased that I did this and only regret I didn't have the courage or knowledge to do it sooner. Too bad there wasn't a You Tube in the 90s!

  • Hi Diane! Thanks so much for making this video. I am going in for sinus surgery next Wednesday, Dec. 22 (my 37th b-day, by the way!!). Needless to say, I'm a little nervous, but your videos have certainly made me feel better about things. Like you, I also have an immune deficiency and have had recurring sinus infections, umpteen bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia 5 times, all over the last 6 years. I am SO sick of being sick and can't wait to feel better! Wish me luck!!!

  • haha...diane u look kinda like d it girl in criminal mind series...!

  • Thanks Diane, your video was very helpful. I had mine done this morning. I don't have any packing up my nose, just splinters, and these have little holes that allow some air through; though I breathe mostly through my mouth.

  • @chufa72 I'm glad it was helpful! you'll have to let me know how you feel a bit after this! I am totally great one year afterward, only sorry I didn't do this 20 years ago!!

  • thanks Diane, I go in on Friday for my surgery and you really encouraged me and helped relieve some fears. Thanks so much, Kristy

  • @themclayok hope everything went well with your surgery!!

  • Thanks for posting.. I have been sick since October and they finally did a CT scan and my sinuses are 100% blocked with Cysts and polyps so i go to see and ENT on Friday... I cannot wait to have surgery, I am so tired of being sick, i have been on 6 rounds of antibiotics and the fatigue is debilittating.

  • I have only been sick once since August! that is a real stretch for me since I was averaging about once every four weeks! I am really glad I did it!

  • Hello jayhawksunflowergirl

and am happy for you that you dont it overwith.

pleas if u dont mind to answer my Qustion .

my Qustion is ,is polyps evect your eyes too before surgery?

  • Hi Jay

I'm glad to hear you feeling good.

am waithing for it my soon.

    I have Qustion please

Is this polyps evect eyes ?

    please lets me know.

  • You look good!

    I bled for 5 days.

I felt sick and week for about 2 weeks.

Pain was not too bad, not bad at all realy I was suprised.

I do construction and could not exert myself for a month.

Glad I had it done I can breath now nearly 2 years after. Trouble is the polyps come back sometimes and I can feel on my right side some trouble.

  • It has now been 2 months since the surgery. I certainly feel better! I did just recently get another sinus infection, BUT this time I could still breathe and it was no big deal. It did take about 1 month for the swelling to go down. I certainly recommend this!

  • Now that it's been a couple of months how is it going? I just had polyps removed 4 days ago and I feel much better so far. I was instructed to not start the nasal rinse thing until day 5 so tomorrow I can start rinsing it out. Good Luck!
