Hey kat, was hältst du davon, mal ein video zu machen, in dem du mehr deutsch sprichst? würd ich persönlich sehr interessant finden. anyways, nice videos! always a pleasure to watch.
Can someone give me the names of those books in German so I can research for any translations. Or better yet, could someone find the English names of these titles?
Could you do a bit about Culture Shock, and dealing with school? I'm being hit by culture shock right now and it's..difficult. I also just started school and I have no idea how im going to pass things like Math or Japanese, which isnt helping the culture shock.
You blog so good. I had mentioned how much I liked your music a few times on some video's. I'm just learning how to do this myself, and...just keep going on. I'll be an admirer (of your blog style) always.
wtf! u speak german?!!! XD warum sagst du das jetzt erst!!! o.O und ich mag das buch "darum nerven Japaner" nicht! lol bei fast jedem Kapitel dachte ich "darum LIEBE ich Japan!" hehe
Anyone interested in music should check out Julian Cope's Japrocksampler [How the Post-war Japanese Blew Their Minds on Rock 'n' Roll] Which as well as setting a brief background of Japanese history and culture takes us on a journey of the history of post war Japanese music/art - from Jazz, Eleki Boom, Group Sounds, and most importantly up to the 70's Psychedelic Rock era.
At the beginning when you start talking about Japanese music, I though, she's going to talk about Idols. Thank goodness you didn't, not that I have something against it... It's just a got friends that are fanatic about Idols. Hell, they even know, practice and dance the Wotage. Sometimes they're really annoying...
Thanks for your suggestions. I wonder if find them here dough...
Another great (and famous!) book is "Underground" by Haruki Murakami.
Well, he basically finds as many victims of the gas attack in 1995 as he can, and interviews them. The book does not so much concern the cult itself which executed the attack; it rather gives you an insight on each individuals (involved that) day. Both the culprits and the victims.
I'd say it's a great socio- psychological analysis of the japanese.
Besides that, finally an update! Ima check the music :D
That first book about the Gaijin looks amazing haha. I'm going to have to pick that one up. Love your videos. Keep posting and I'll keep commenting ^^
Hi, you mentioned being an art student so I have a question. I'm kind of in the same field, I'm going to be a musician. I'm still in high school, 17, year 11 and really interested in Japan. Is there any recommendations on things I should start doing and are there job openings for foreigners in that area? Thanks! keep making great videos!
You wear a lovely neat short haircut it suits you. Have you ever had a haircut in japan yet?

If you are interested in Japanese trad work I highly recommend Kohrin Ogata's art.
The art book is available in big town book shop.
And also recommend design book of Japanese family emblems .
