  • Many have criticize how HH mix politics with spiritual.. As a start, politics and spiritual can never be mixed. However, i do think that HHDL is USING politics quite well to spread spirituality. Despite the chaos, Buddhism has spread far and wide in HHDL's lifetime.

  • HHDL has used decades of his life towards serving others and has literally put his life for all sorts of criticisms. Every high incarnation as their own unique role which I do believe fits in the "master plan" before the end of this age where the Buddhist teachings will disappear. Let's practice sincerely while the dharma wheel is still turning..

  • fuck u chinese whore

  • There is a time for everything. There is a time to watch comics and there is a time to grow up, and understand more than that. However, if you dont know what fire is and still play with it that excuse what help you not to get burned. So think before you act, not the other way around.

  • The Dalai Lama is one of the greatest people to live in this era, do not be hasty in judging great people like that, I don't think we have the right judge anyone, may the world have more and more people like this!

  • "...dalai lam is one of the greatest ppl to live in this era.....". What a joke. Why neither Jimmy Carter nor Ronald reagan nor kennedy nor Nixon nor Ford nor Margatret Tatcher never when they were presidents or PM never met Dal;ai Lama. Suddently in 1989 hypocrits like you find Dalia Lama is a great figure.

  • he won the nobel peace prize for trying ot liberate tibet through all its years of conflict with china. he is a great person because of his dedication through his work and how commitment to trying to make the world a better place. he has compassion which many people don't and well the dalai lama did that through years of practice something we can't really understand unless we dedicate ourselves fully like he did.

  • @shadowdeviant192

    Agreed.

  • ../.. Jimmy carter won the "peace' nobel award though he never expressed support for the dalai lama - when he was president. So I believe that George Bush who support and met dalai lama 50 times is the hot favorite for the "peace" nobel competition for 2009.

  • @uds1431 there will be more like him when people evolve the dalilamais an ancient soul; who has trodden many many paths , he has had to earn his spirituality through much struggle and many lessons in many lives he is where we are all heading

  • i believe china will be strong enough to make the world realise the truth that china is doing her best to make all chinese people happy and peace

  • All the world knows Tibetans to be peaceful, gentle and kind. All the world knows the Dalai Lama as a man of peace.

All the world knows China as a brutal communist regime that has now adopted western greed and expansion. Congratulations.

China has earned dirty karma as a result of the cruelty and torture of Tibet's people.

China's lies and propoganda can not alter the truth. The eyes of the world are watching.

  • The things you said again approved that you are such hypocrite. Buddhism does not allow fellows having hate and anger in their heart. Everyone should be peaceful. What you are doing now is critisizing China for everything. Shame on you!

Yeah, the eyes of the world are watching. But anyone saw the truth from Da Lai?

    Shame on you!

  • what makes you think I am Buddhist?

the world has watched both the DL and China for many years. that's how China has the negative reputation it has acquired.

  • Wow. The fascist Chinese Propaganda machine is quite strong. And yes, I call you fascists not communists, because that is what you are. No different from any other fascist, imperialist regime. You have become your own worst enemy. And your days are numbered.

  • germoturk,

stop whining, you ex slave owners are not welcome in india, besides demonstrating you have not contributed to indian society at all, your people are useless, maybe because you have never ever worked all the work in tibet was done by your slaves. go pack you bags and go back cross the border or go to paris , the french love you.

  • Brutally, communist chinese has shot over 150 Tibetans on the streets of lhasa and thats called brutally oppressed.

China has imprisoned hundreds of its journalist who commited a crime called "freedom of expression"

In August 1983, Chen Renjie was sentenced to death, and Lin was sentenced to death with reprieve.

  • Every country has its own laws and regulations and it is not strange to hear punishments of any law breakers in any country. What is permissible in One country does not necessarily mean it should apply to All countries. Wherever You are, you should obey the laws of that country.

  • what kind of rule is that?

It is not a law, it is called oppression u communist junky..

  • Billions of people worldwide will be very happy, if a Tibetan minority of China can win an Olympic Gold Medal for China in Beijing this summer, the way Cathy Freeman won one for her country, Australia. Maybe we should set up a competition for Meditation. Keep smiling.

  • what kind of rule is that?

It is not a law, it is called oppression u communist junky..

  • The Chinese government generally are very protective of their citizens. When the law is violated in any country, every country takes different measures of deterrent and wherever you live now, is no different to China. Imagine what will happen to Tibetans if they try rioting in America, I have no doubt that they will be dealt with very, very harshly.

  • Globy: Tibetan protests outside of Tibet that were treated brutally, WHERE?! US police beat protesters with clubs WHERE?! Anywhere you can think of that Tibet human rights demonstrators were ARRESTED and TORTURED or just SHOT and KILLED? Hmmm?

I mean apart from those inside Tibet. Those are not the actions of a "Motherland" who "loves them", or at least not any motherland that I would wish to be part of.

You really have no idea what's going on over there, do you?

  • The Indian Government should deport ALL Tibetans back to China, where they belonged. The Good ones including Dalai Lama should be set free and ALL those who have committed crimes and violated the National Security of China should be charged with treason.

  • Globy: The Indian gov't will NEVER do what you demand. Not a country founded by Gandhi-ji, no way. India and Tibet have civilisational ties that go back a very long time, which China certainly does not have with the Tibetans.

Your dreams are doomed to remain unfulfilled. Sorry.

  • Tibet is so lucky that it belongs to China. If it had belonged to Iraq, you can imagined what would happened now. So be grateful to the motherland.

  • Globy: No, I won't be grateful to your "motherland", and not likely many Tibetans will be either. China is set to go down in history as the destroyer of a unique and peace-loving civilisation. The world will never forgive it

There are actually Muslim Tibetans, and they love HHDL as their own. Do a search for "Masood Butt" and see the current article on either Phayul or Times of India. Tibet was a model of religious tolerance and co-existence before the Communists came in and wrecked everything.

  • Only criminals are ungrateful to their Motherland. Luckily less than 10% of them are living outside Tibet, China. The Indian government should deport them to China to face trial.

  • Globy: It won't happen, see my earlier reply already. And don't forget to read about Masood either.

  • haha first of all Tibetans motherland is Tibet not China, infact China is the invader. Hahaha and Tibet doesn't belong to China, Tibet is stolen, So the Thief_China is not the Owner. Communist Chinese are so stupid they are morally lower than dogs in the free world

  • If you are really smart, you should try helping the Aborgines and Red Indians liberating USA, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Palestine etc. 90% of ALL Tibetans lives in China and are very happy.

  • HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA 90% Tibetan r u nuts look at the uprising in Tibet, all around the Tibet even in remote are Tibetans have protested against Communist china, even in capital of china beijing Tibetan students have protested peacefully against the red regime... so ur claim of 90% clearly shows how blatant are chinese in lieing... such a fucked up communist...

  • One fly does not make a summer. They are asking for Free Food all the time.

  • Hahaha Tibetans living outside Tibet_occupied by China are living much better than chinese themselves in mainland china, so they is no need to deport. Also these Tibetans in Exile have been morally true citizens of the world unlike communist China who have been exploiting the weaker countries for its communist interest, so Chinese should be deported out of Tibet to their mainland China...

  • There have been recent Tibetan protests outside of China that were treated brutally by foreign governments including USA. Now the world can understand why these misfits are not wanted in China in the first place. Do so-called democratic countries really humane and democratic? Tibetans living in Western countries have certainly been racially prejudiced. So Good Tibetans everywhere, Your Motherland, China LOVES YOU and Welcome Home.

  • Brutally, communist chinese has shot over 150 Tibetans on the streets of lhasa and thats called brutally oppressed.

  • @Globalvisual There is no such thing as "bad" or "good" people just people who can either think outside their egos or not! In every day and every day its getting better and better!!!!!!!

  • How about the "re-education through labour" camps, will those do for your purposes? They have lots and lots of those, don't even need those pesky trials to send people into them!

Guant'mo houses a couple of hundred people along the lines of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Ramzi Bin al Shib. People who would actually kill you, and have already killed hundreds of others.

China's concentration camps house millions who hold unapproved opinions and views, who never hurt anyone, or who meditate on truth.

  • Professor Norbu continues: "When I was in Tibet in 1980, I didn't see a wild yak even once. Before the Chinese came, the yaks used to cover entire slopes of the mountains. And we used to have in Tibet many wild horses, wild antelopes, wild sheep and deer --they have all been destroyed!

  • Tibet used to have many waterbirds -- and the Chinese shot them and now they are extinct. Now you do not see them in Tibet at all.

Some interesting bronze sculptures have originated in Tibet, and also many tankas, religious paintings. Also in many temples, whole walls 30 - 40 yards long used to be paintings. The Chinese completely destroyed all this.

  • My dog name is Dalai Lama .. and he is enlightned ..

  • I love him very much! He is my hero.

    f. Black air transportation of Tibetan trainees from Colorado to India--$ 185,000

    g. Miscellaneous (operating expenses of [not declassified] equipment and supplies to reconnaissance teams, caching program, air resupply--not overflights, preparation stages for agent network in Tibet, agent salaries, etc.)--$ 125,000

    h. Educational program for 20 selected junior Tibetan officers-- $ 45,000

    Total--$ 1,735,000

  • Peanuts for a national resistance movement, when communism was on the march across Asia. See "Orphans of the Cold War" by Knaus. You do know that support for the freedom fighters was ended more than 35 years ago, right? The Tibetans were tossed over so Nixon could go make a name for himself in Peking with killer Mao.

You people are funny. Why don't you talk about now? So busy with cold war realities and last 1000 years of your revised Tibetan history. Find out what happened last week in Tibet!

  • Also, links posted here to CCP propaganda videos will be terminated. Repeat offenders will be blocked. You all have your thousand comment threads on million view videos elsewhere. Go play together over there. My threads are for people who want to discuss, not for CCP agit-prop.

  • BMY: I warned you about that. I have no patience left for it. Go lie somewhere else.

  • I simply copy/pasted the facts from the government web site. Where was the lie?

  • ... have been nonviolent??

    ____

CIA: The cost of the Tibetan Program for FY 1964 can be summarized in approximate figures as follows:

    a. Support of 2100 Tibetan guerrillas based in Nepal--$ 500,000

    b. Subsidy to the Dalai Lama--$ 180,000

    c. [1 line of source text not declassified] (equipment, transportation, installation, and operator training costs)--$ 225,000

    d. Expenses of covert training site in Colorado--$ 400,000

  • I've read it, and it's crap. It's the only thing he's ever written about Tibet, so don't be calling him a "Tibet expert" like some here have tried. The word has gone out - "Cite Parenti!" Garbage.

Read this after you read that,it's even on a Leftist site:

    dissidentvoice[dot]org[slash]2008[slash]04[slash]

    a-lie-repeated

  • Read this article: "Friendly Feudalism: The Tibet Myth". you can goole it up.

  • how can a person learn English for so many years still in such a poor condition! I doubt his IQ!

How can a person like him to lead a "country"?

But there is no doubt that his abilty to tell lies is great!

  • You guys are just sour grapes. What leader of China can command such broad-based love and respect from the world's people? None!

  • I can tell you that MOST Chinese people hate him including most Tibeteans!probably some Chinese people don't like their leaders. for one thing, I am quite sure: They all like their Country. and they are all willing to die to safeguard the unified country.

If you still do not believe me, I advice you to go to China, experience it yourself. and I think can get the truth!

At last, thank you for your reply. wish you get the truth soon!

  • You're telling at least one blatantly false statement. ANYONE can see that after 50 years away from them, his people love him as much as they always have. Half century of Chinese repression and re-education (brainwashing) has completely failed.

  • Any evidence?

I think you never been in China. some people love him because of his religion status not his personality. It is kind of blind believe. right?

I think he is not even qualified as a man.

Listen to his smile. I feel cold. He is really a pervert. I did not mean to offend any body. I am just telling my true feeling.

  • Evidence? Just open your eyes man! Tibetans are NOW, TODAY, being beaten, arrested and sometimes even killed for refusing to denounce him, as required by the "authorities."

The media is being kept far away, so it's easier for you to ignore this. But the accounts are getting out anyway. You can find them.

I don't believe you have EVER listened to him at all, never mind "listening to his smile". To call a man like this a "pervert" is itself truly, obscenely perverted. You offend me.

  • It is a shame for America to give this prize to Dalai Lama. Without Dalai Lama, Tibet should be a peace place. You can search what was tibet like when he was in charge of Tibet. It is a hell. he can decide a person's death!

Fuck Him! Son of a bitch!

  • No, they gave him the highest honor & the noble prz to raise his profile, so that he can travel around the world to lie abt his compassion BS and persuade ppl that tibet is in hell & need help... Despite he left tibet for decades & he has never done any gd to the tibetians. This is pt of his job because he & his pals are in cia's payrolls. They have to make troubles periodically to pls the boss.

  • give back tibet to the tibetens and let them run thier country how that wish.. its a shame that (kenluikhing) carnt see the bigger picture...and lets just clear this little point up whos in whos country here i donte see tibetens walking around china as a armed force bring law and order to chinas land....leave them be and leave thier land alone china....free tibet.

  • Two things prove, beyond a shadow of doubt, that Tibet is NOT a part of China

    1. The Great Wall of China clearly demarcates the border between Tibet and China

    2. The Tibet-China treaty of 821 A.D., inscribed on the stone pillar at the Jokhang temple, Lhasa, which shows that China had a non-aggression treaty with Tibet in 821 A.D., meaning that Tibet is a FOREIGN LAND and NOT AN INTERNAL MATTER of China, like China claims. It's purely a military occupation by Chinese army of a FOREIGN LAND

  • For the Tibet-China treaty of 821 A.D., inscribed on the stone pillar at Jokhang temple, Lhasa (Google: Three Dharma Kings of Tibet. Click on the 1st link)

If the Chinese still don't get it, then they are just imbeciles. By the same token then, can the US say that because they are in control of Iraq and Afghanistan today, they can kill all Iraqis and Afghanis and claim it to be an internal matter, where China or any other country has no right to interfere? Nonsense. CHINA - GET OUT OF TIBET

  • chines invasion..comes future, the world will be invaded by china it should be stop, free tibet! i rpay for the freedom of tibet..

  • what did Dala lams did for tibet?= slavery,

spreading rumours about hans chinese oppression. human right= slavery? cultural genocide?= backward society= poverty and poor health= average life= 34.5years old in tibet, when he ruled.. his a few nobles monks owed everything in tibet, everyone was slaver.. when he ruled, lhasa got 3700 people and 4000 were beggars.. this show u . why mr. lama is not welcome back. stop spreading rumours about china.. so fuck off anti chinese bastards..u listen 2 devil

  • Like I keep saying, he was 15 years old when Chinese invaded. He wasn't even supposed to take his duties until 18. But he was a modern-minded young teenager, he already knew and loved democracy, and wished to modernize his country.

If he'd been allowed the chance. Too bad he wasn't.

  • It's unlikely that the Dalai Lama's followers will turn on America afterwords, though, unlike the Afghan mujahedeen.

  • Absolute bull feathers. The more fantastical your lies, the more you will be mistrusted.

  • The greatest weapon of the west: They manage to make people to kill their own countrymen, simply by controlling the spiritual leader and make them to promote independent movement; they manage to start and winning a war without firing a gun and no casualties at all. See from the history............

  • The greatest motivator known to man: FREEDOM

Should have learned from Soviets' experience.

  • free tibet

freedom of speech for all tibetans inside tibet

freedom of expression for all tibetans inside tibet

freedom of religion for all tibetans inside tibet

god bless all the tibetans inside tibet

    china out of tibet now

shame on china world is watching

  • The 5 non-negotiable terms put forward by the delegation of Dalai Lama to the PRC govt in the meeting at Nanking in Jun 07:1-Tibet is always an independent nation.2-Tibet is free to hv diplomatic relation w/other nation/int'l organization.3-All PLA n their installation out of Greater Tibet.4-To provide living space for Tibetan 2.4million square kilometer of surround'g provinces become Greater Tibet.5-To preserve Tibetan culture all non-Tibetan to b evacuated fm Greater Tibet.

  • Dear Youtubers, Please visit other sites about the Dalai Lama, and (if you are able) just read the ugly, heinous, and violent abuse made by Chinese nationalists. Then you will understand what we are up against when it comes to Chinese oppression. Imagine that those words are deeds, then multiply that by twenty million.

  • Why do Americans love Dalai? Because Dalai and his followers were slave owners, so were those Americans in the video!

  • No, they love him for the opposite reason: Americans value freedom, and their historical record makes them love it even more. The President says freedom is a human need, and the right of every man, woman and child on earth. No Party gets to take that away from them, and still expect not to be a pariah in the modern world.

Look at who praises China's crackdown in Tibet: Russia, Zimbabwe, a few other quasi-dictatorships. This makes China proud?

  • Not only Americans love the Dalai Lama. In fact, most people who love him are not from America. Please state fact and not just any nonsense that occurs to you.

  • God help China! They have no concept of Karma. They have no idea the terrible punishments that are sure to catch up to them sooner or later. I pray that they awaken soon. Peace.

  • I absolutely agree.

It should be "Free China" from delusion, anger and blind nationalism.

Then Tibet wouldn't need to be 'free' - instead it could be the 'autonomous region' that is supposedly already is.

My prayers go out to all those suffering from ignorance and thereby cousing suffering to others.

    Peace.

  • WE LOVE YOU DALAI LAMA

    knoxoleum germany burghausen

  • Dalai Lama is a good man.

Never seem the angry and ugly side of

    him, unlike those Chinaman.

  • don't you know the word---pretend

  • God will punish you!

  • He's a good man. God bless him.

  • sorry everybody for the language... was talking to this kenluikhing piece of shit and all the other CCP people on youtube posting disrespectful, propaganda messages.

Respect to all the souls fighting for freedom within China and Tibet.

People of China..you deserve better than this

  • The Dalai Lama is funny.

In a good way, that is.

  • Please get the right information. The only thing standing in the way of Dalai Lama's return to Tibet, is your Chinese government. They have a few meetings with his representatives, and then issue despicable insults against him as soon as the meetings are over. Tell your government to negotiate in good faith! He will go home as soon as he is allowed by your dictators.

  • Never believe an polititian! Look at his eyes, full of lies, like all the polititian. we have many tibetian gurus, they are much purier! Many people have sujested to China to invite Dalai lama to open the Olympic game this year, sadly Dalai refused, why he does not want an prosperies and peaceful Tibet? why so many other high rank Lama have gone to China open their schools, monestries and hospitals, and Dalai doing nothing but bargaining something which never would be the best of Tibetan people?

  • Dalai Lama "refused" to go to China? That's NOT true. China refuses HIM, even though with the current uprising against China, he CONTINUES to show his understanding toward them, and says there should be no Olympics boycott. The Tibetans want INDEPENDENCE, but he CONTINUES to ask only for genuine autonomy, as guaranteed under Chinese constitution.

He is the KEY to solution of Tibet issue, but China REFUSES to use that key. Pity on them.

  • agam4, please remove the disrespectful comments placed here by the PRC stooges. Many of them get paid to surf youtube and leave such remarks for people to see. Don't justify their salaries.

  • I know, I have removed the worst of it; the obscene hysteria, copy/pasters etc. I answer those who raise the canards which need to be dealt with openly, in the faces of those CCP "cyber-warriors". Lots of Chinese people seem to be reading these comment sections, and it's important that they get the opposition view.

Some are difficult to leave up, but we are on freedom's side after all. I hope I've put the bar in the right place, between "answer" and "delete". Let me know when I put it too low.

  • poor man.. speak your own language.

  • is he still look like a true dalai lama? he looks like a business man.

  • The only puppets are mindless Chinese xenophobes and conspiracy nuts who can't see what's in front of their eyes. China brought this on all by itself, with its stupid imperialistic colonial policy to rule Tibet with an iron fist. People who love Chinese Empire and its colonialism over smaller countries.

    People like you.

  • he is kind of funny~

  • Chinese are actually the majority of Lhasa now, so tell us who is genociding who?

Dalai Lama is the key to solving Tibet issue. He is willing to come to mutually agreeable solution WITHIN China, increasing numbers of Tibetans want out of China period.

China's mishandling the situation for almost 60 years has caused this to happen. The key is in their reach to open the door, but they insist on throwing it away. The result is of their own making.

  • The actual genocide in Lhasa has been half a century of Chinese misrule, repression and internationally illegal mass demographic transfer.

  • say no to lamaistic rule. keep religion and politics separate and say no to splittism

  • Should listen to all the teachings Tsem Rinpoche (from Gaden Monastery) gives and think deeply. He has a wonderful three part video speaking about HH the Dalai lama. It is a moving piece. It is on youtube. I love him because he is so non-sectarian and respectful of HH the Dalai lama. What a great combination. He is so devoted to HH.

  • wow! bush and the dalai lama!!

  • Guinness Book of World Records: Although nowadays they don't come right out and declare Mao Zedong to be the Top Dog in the Mass Killings category, earlier editions (such as 1978) did:

    - On 7 Apr 1969 the Soviet government radio reported that 26.3 mil people were killed in China, 1949-65

    - In April 1971 the cabinet of the government of Taiwan reported 39.94 mil deaths for the years 1949-69

    - The Walker Report: between 32.25 mil and 61.7 mil

  • Jung Chang, Mao: the Unknown Story (2005),

TOTAL DEATH under Mao Zedong: 70 Million

-Suppression of Counterrevolutionaries, 1950-1951: 3 Million by execution, mob or suicide

    -Three-Anti Campaign,1952-53: 200,000-300,000 suicides

-Great Leap Forward, 1958-61: 38Million of starvation and overwork

-Cultural Revolution, 1966-76: 3Million died violent deaths

-Laogai camp deaths, 1949-76: 27 Million

  • A report by the Economic System Research Institute in Beijing in the early 1980's found that 900,000 people died during the famine in the Panchen Lama's home province of Quinghai-45% of the population - and 9 million in Sichuan. According to research by the journalist Jasper Becker,`No other group in China suffered more bitterly from the famine than the Tibetans', says Becker, adding that famine remained endemic in central Tibet for the next 20 years.

  • 1.2 millions now? so assholes told me it was 1 million and other said 2 millions. how many people in tibet anyway? how many hans chinese got killed by the Dailai lama's thugs them? please tell me. How many weapons did the cia given the traitors to kill normal hans chinese farmers? I have been their for a nice holiday, people in tibet are normal and living in a very good life. Dai lai lama is history. He is a crook and an assholes betray china and tibeteans people

  • The number shouldn't surprise you if you knew your history. Deaths as a direct or indirect result of the commie invasion, including famine due to commie policies.

Mao's "liberators" and their polices resulted in many tens of millions of deaths in China itself. Not even including the Tibetans killed and starved to death.

You need to read some history other than the CCP revised version.

  • look as far we heard from western books and news stated this and that, but if so many died it is not just tibeteans only, I was also in hunger as well. I can understand your point. if you can only project your views and opinions but by no mean is facts, then I respect, but it is not my views. If i'm offended you in anyway, it was the comments people put here.,this is my reactions. I never read ccp history only, but I read both, so can you fuck off.

  • No it is not just Tibetans only, calm down and read what is written. Facts are not opinions, they are not views. You're entitled to your own views, but facts are facts. Monsieurkevinmsia has put some facts up there for you to consider, and you don't get to write them off as offensive "views."

Perhaps you could work on your manners a bit, nobody has told you to F.O., but responded to you with rational arguments. Watch your mouth.

  • Over 1.2 million tibetans killed. 6 thousand monasteries destroyed. The continuous oppression and enprisonment of the Tibetan people. What else needs to happen for the end of this horrendous human rights issue to come to table internationally and for a free Tibet to become a demand made from every free nation to China?

  • where did you get the figures from? every the cia supported about 15000, but all got killed by the mighty PLA. In fact is very testify to killed traitors so it doesn't matter and religion fanatics killer, should be killed as they want to see they god, so the pla did them a favour and sent them there

  • The 87,000 dead Tibetans in Lhasa area - the number comes from a Chinese commander's report. Can't you read? He gave the source document for you to look up. PLA wasn't killing traitors and religious fanatics, it was killing Tibetan patriots defending their own country.

  • Do not disrespect the Dalai Lama, he is a far more hounourable man than that fag Hu Jintao.

  • you nevr should insult Dalai like that, as I know, the yeallow school he is the head among all tibetian buddhist schools is the only one don't eat meat and have woman, while other school have the freedom to take console as many as they like. I believe Dalai is pure in this sence but not trust him when you realised he is an polititian. Please watch your words.

  • Chinese army intelligence reports admit that the Peoples' Liberation Army killed 87,000 members of the Tibetan resistance in Lhasa and surrounding areas between March and October 1959 alone. [Xizang Xingshi he Renwu Jiaoyu de Jiben Jiaocai, PLA Military District's Political Report, 1960]

  • Stop these negative comments. He did no harm and if the US wants to honour him they will see that he is comfortable. He never demanded for all those comforts. People these days are surrounded by so much negativity that it's hard for them to believe that kindness and compassion exist. Feel sorry abt it.

  • i agree

  • yes you asshole, the "I" you are using it sums up, you are just put a lot shit, I have being to some meeting in the past, in U.k while dai lai lama was preaching, what ever he said, sound is goods, but it got little but no fruit for modern living, he living in a nice hotel with people cook for him like king. the bottom line is that he was load of shit now aday, he don't known what is going on, he is no longer in control.

  • Kenlukhing: DL's hotel expenses, etc. covered by CIA funding. Live it up on U.S. tax payer's money.

  • Put this into your Youtube search engine and learn about the true will of Tibetans: Dalai Lama/dramatic footage from Tibet

  • Bullshit! Show some proof. US secretly aided the Tibet freedom struggle after commies invaded, then thanks to Nixon's China trip and Kissinger's "realpolitik" the Tibetans became "Orphans of the Cold War." See the book of that name by John Knaus, who was involved in training the freedom fighters. The CIA doesn't pay DL's hotel bills, you dope.

  • That reply was for the banzai guy, of course. Nice to see dementia664 back again.

  • communist propaganda. you deffend genocide and tiranny so shut the fuck up you murderer!

  • how would u know?!

o wait u dont ur jsut some pathetic jelous kid that needs to get a real life

  • I swear "SOME" NOT ALL chinese people. BUt some are so unbelievably Shameless. Seriously HAVE You people NO SHAME? Is it because your parents taught you to to be like that or they have been telling you lies about Dalai Lama..and maybe they themselves dont know its a lie cause maybe for generations you just pass on what you've heard..Jeez im not gonna bother saying nothin 'bout all that stop lying shit cause you people got no ears as well -.-

  • Yes he sold a lot books and making a lot of money

  • JSUT TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED AND SPREAD THE MESSAGE U STuPID MORON...

AT LEAST HE DID SOMETHING GREAT..WAT ABOUT U?!

O WAIT U ARE NOBODY AND NO ONE CARES WHAT U THINK

  • well, after working for the CIA for the past50 years he desires for a medal, then he should get one for split china and killing the real tibeteans. well done, for a monk, whom do not even understand the real world anymore, he is now hollywood biggest star and he sold a lot books by the way.

  • Don't you have anything coherent to say? At least one thing was right - his books are quite popular.

  • If you are interested in separatist movements, look no further than that of the "Lakota independence movement" in the U.S. The Lakota people just declared their independence from the U.S. last month.

Only the Fox News reported it, but ignored by all other news networks. Self-censureship in the U.S.?

  • Not true. A couple of "activists" made the declaration, not the "Lakota people."

  • And if you don't think Tibet is a part of China today, look on any world map.

  • Relax everyone. His Holiness the Dalai Lama said:

    * He promotes Tibet autonomy, not independence.

    * Tibet needs China's help to modernize.

Tibet has been a part of China for 800 years. You can argue all you want, but that's just the FACT.

  • "Tibet has been a part of China for 800 years. You can argue all you want, but that's just the FACT."

That's a Chinese fantasy, is what it is. Previous DL declared Tibetan independence after the fall of the Chinese emperor in 1911, and expelled all the Chinese ambans. They governed themselves without interference (neutral during WW II against China's wish) until the commie invasion 1950. UN member states at that time declared Tibet had been more independent than many UN members had ever been.

  • Agam4: During the present 14th Dalai Lama's inauguration ceremony in 1940, there were Chinese troops and officials in charge with Tibetan affairs present at the ceremony. So, what does that tell you about the status of Tibet between 1911--1951? A part of China.

  • They were present at the ceremony, i.e. invited. Other foreign representatives were also invited. What does that tell you about the status of Tibet at that time?

A courtesy, since the non-communist republican government had helped the young DL's transport to Lhasa, and out of the clutches of a Chinese warlord in the area where he was born.

It was a friendly gesture to invite Chinese officials. Too bad current Chinese officials don't recognise friendly gestures.

  • China out of Tibet and shut the fuck up! Blood on your hands!

  • Free Tibet, China´s goverment will fall

  • How integrated is the holiness? I call him out.

  • Thanks Amrica and Bush

  • Every nation has a right to self-determination. China leave Tibet, and then see which the Tibetan people choose: The Dalai Lama or the Chinese Communists. It is the only fair way.

  • dont be naive

why do US had the civil wars when the south want separation.

  • That situation was completely different. For one, the south was already a part of the nation and Lincoln did what was necessary to preserve the United States as such. The south secceded over states rights in addition to other things. I don't see how that comment is applicable to this situation.

Second, The north did not destroy the holy places of the south after the war was over.

Third, the government did not move northerners into the south in an effort to drown out local populations.

  • tibet was part of china long before the southern states were part of america.

china rebuilt monasteries, many which were destroyed by tibetans themselves in their sectarians war.

non tibetans are tiny minorities in tibet and always has been.

anyway, after your civil war, there are lots of carpetbaggers moving down south.

all of which still does not answer the question

why Lincoln does not let the south have separation,

not that i disagree with his action.

  • Carpetbaggers were an individual action, not a governmental one.

Lincoln did not allow the south to seceed because if he did, foreign powers would tear the country apart.

I still don't see out not allowing seccession and forcibly invading a country are equivalent.

  • theres no proof china promotes migration to tibet.

    china fears what Lincoln feared-

that foreign powers are trying to tear china apart.

  • i will tell u why i m so concerned, u people r painting a v false picture of china. the govt is doing what s best for its country.

it s sometime naive and often wrong. but not for trying.

u all just cant see the positives and blow up the negatives.

do u all really have the interest of tibet at hearts?

or do u all have your own agendas.

  • Please keep in mind, it is the Government of China that is being criticized, not its people. In recent years the people of China have begun to rally in support of Tibet, with true interest in the culture, people, and religious views. The problem is the blatant censorship of their gov't that prohibits a true cultural shift in favor of Tibet. I see your perspective, and I think it is valid for you to question motives and agendas.

  • Thank you America.

  • all china suffer so much more than us Tibetans huh then while the hell did witnness that only chinese can get promoted and tibetans can never be head of chinese pricks...Madsam02..u need to check your resource before u think u know what u writing about.

  • the chairman, vice chairman and most in the regional govt. in tibet r tibetans. same in police force, incl. senior ranks.

only about 5% non-tibetans(incl. non-hans) live in tibet; less than tibetans living in china outside of tibet, in terms of numbers.

  • u got it all wrong.. more and more chinese are r still colonizing our land.. raping our resource buying mountains in tibet and second of all im concern bout this issue because i am a tibetan.. and i saw first hand whats goin on and how we are still minority..this to all the uninformed think i know it all people out there.. u mite wanna start reading the real news instead of them fack made ups by chinese...

  • Actualy if you see 10 question for Dalai Lama Tibetan consider as lowest kaste on their own land.

  • at the end of the colonial era, many small small nations were given independence, how many fell into arms of dictators? how many still have wars raging? if tibetans culture will to be marginalised, it will be macdonalds and disney culture. i trust tibetans are proud enough for their culture to survive.

  • not their true culture. their culture now is 'disney-tibet' China style. They are forced to put on smiles and do pseudo traditional dances and such for tourist to make money while Han invaders get all the true jobs. Get a grip on reality. you know if tibetans had a choice they would choose something other than their current condition.

  • in a few years, i believe that will be. now, its too dangerous, imho. many with ill intentions are stirring up troubles. soon tibetans will be as most of HK, not easily misled.
