  • You might want to edit those drawing that you copied from Cowboy Bebop out of the reel. You're trying to convince us that you're a creative person that can bring great ideas and designs when needed, right? Some might understand that you can only copy stuff that others do. Looks great though

  • nice work, like how some people still think it all depends on your programs.

Only thing issue imo is that if u goin for animation then really wasnt too much animation in it and you had modelling and rigging stuff in it that took up most of it. Would thought you would need more animation not too much rigging segments and no modelling segments , thats what you show in your portfolio in an interview.

  • Nice video. I'm hoping to get into Duncan of Jordanstone in a few years and would love to do animation. But i'm not sure if my works good enough yet. Have you got any tips for portfolio's and sketchbooks etc. Kepp up the good work.

  • What program :O

  • Maya

  • pretty awesome im impressed.

i love the speach sequence in the middle (1:10)

the video is put together well too!

  • thanks man. i regret not finishing my final year film, i just got far too lazy :/ i animated about a minute of lipsync but it was pretty basic because i did it all in the last week before submission. if you're doing 3d animation at dundee i highly advise leave at least a day for every 3 seconds of good animation you want, because it really does take that long to get something decent, especially if you're going for realism (which in hindsight i advise against)...

  • "advise leave at least a day for every 3 seconds of good animation you want" - Id sugest more like a week...

industry works at roughly 3sec per week

  • well i guess it depends on what quality you're going for and what you're animating. lipsync is generally easy but big complicated movements take a lot of time to get looking right. in my course anyway we were advised to do 2-3 minutes of animation, although some people did less than 1 minute and others did almost 10 minutes.
