Seriously, I think almost every TV-series ever aired in any country have had at least one Christmas Carol holiday special. And add to that the big amounts of stand alone movie versions. Disney alone have done at least 3 versions: This, the new one with Jim Carrey and the Muppet version.

Make sense that Scoorge McDuck played the role of Ebenezer Scoorge in this version of A Christmas Carol because Scoorge McDuck was named after Ebenezer Scoorge and both are rich, greedy and cheap. Also, I don't think Disney wants their mascot, Mickey Mouse to played a character like that, so they made him to played the role of Scoorge's humble, overworked and underpayed employee, Bob Crachit.
