@OkiHondaGirl I don't care for Willow main, I like Streets though. Also I like being able to go to the different tracks for the series. I just didn't feel like driving all the way to Willow every month. Also, I took the WERA class while working at Fontana one weekend (I work for FastrackRiders partime)
@r1gester It was a LOT of fun. Sunday was cruddy weather but still, it was cool :) It cleared up later in the day. We had to take our canopies down though, the wind was crazy.
@elalis Well, I can't get there fast enough ;) All I can say is thank goodness for slicks sometimes. lol I know it is all mental, and I just need to get over it. Bleh. Have fun and ride safe!
I'm noting your body positioning, it's good riding but if you want to take those corners faster, take this tip.
Notice when you are taking a corner your body is twisted? If you are taking a right corner your body/head is kind of leaning to the left. What you want to do when you take a right had corner in stick your head near the right hand mirror, be very concious of this, it might feel akward at first but will get used to it quick. Give it a go, remember no body twisting ok..:)
@elalis Thank you. I am aware of it. :( I picked up the habit at Chuckwalla last summer for some weird reason. I tend to do that when I am at a new track and am not comfortable. I can't seem to break it. My boyfriend calls me little Pegram because of my body position lol This was my first race weekend. I will be more conscious of it, however I am going NO-where right now because I need new rubber. I am missing Round 4 this weekend :(
@elalis Let me rephrase that, lol. I have never hung my head/upper torso off the bike enough. I've just gotten worse over the last few events. Especially at a new track for me. I am dragging the side of my bike in some of the corners (and my rearset once in a race) so I really need to get off the bike more to reduce my lean angle. I have no excuse.
