Actually as far as I know the 430 doesn't break 200. It'll nudge it, but it doesn't actually break 200 even. it's not designed for top speed though, it's designed to corner like a housefly :D
In fact, i was wrong with this...i knew it just after posting the comment. I mixed up the conversion Horsepower-kw and km/h -mph. Horsepower to kw is 1.36 and mph to km/h is about 1.6...i was just a little confused that day^^

I love the look and sound of the new ferrari. when he fired that up and got on it, my pants got a little tighter. this is another instance of "I wont be driving over 200mph anyway." it's just a beautiful machine.
First off, in response to all the comments ablout how it simply uses greater displacement, that's not the case. It's a 6.2 liter engine, well within the range of all its european competitors. In addition, it's a V8 small block, clearly not some ridiculous pure big engine car like a dodge viper. Add all this to the fact that it beats cars 3-4 times its cost on the track and on the drag strip, and you have a superior, American car.
ZR1 is an awesome car for sure but Ferrari can build anything they want if the market allowed they would release the FXX in the showrooms by next summer make no mistake when it comes to performance cars no one can teach Ferrari.

yea i agree a 2009 corvette zr1 cost around 120,000 and it beat a buggatti veyron and nurburgring the only 3 cars that beat it because of the driver cost over 500,000 i say that is really good engineering.
For me the best car is the GT-R. It has ~160hp less then the ZR-1 300kg more weight and it is just 0.1s slower around the Nürburgring then the ZR1. I drove a couple of C6 and Z06 and I love the great engine and it is a great supercar, but the GT-R is just amazing.
but remember that dodge viper ACR was suspension tuned and was done with weight reduction that removed all saftey features and illegal areodynamics so i could beat the ZR1. i would say it cannot be consisdered a production car with those modifications. and that version that beat the ZR1 is not street legal so it cannot be a production car.

Well you can't say that because the Z06 gets more HP than the GT-R because it's naturally aspirated, as where the GT-R has Twin Turbos. Hennessey Performance has Twin Turbo systems for the Z06 that provide up to 1000hp

Senna was actually the King of Rain, he drove in the rain like no one else, you can find his second race in F1 back in 1984 on here easily. it was at Monaco, he was driving one of the worst cars in the grid coming from way behind and came second to Prost in a McLaren only because the race was red flagged a few seconds before Senna had the chance to overtake him.

he was european kart champion and a week ago he won Massas Kart festival in Brazil, germany also win regulary the race of champions with vettel and Schumacher. The man drove also the Mercedes group-C cars and Mercedes 190 touring car in his early days without driving help, also the early F1 cars dont used driver aids. In fact Schumacher would have a great bonus driving in a series without those aids cause it suits his style and talent.you must be really a big mouth

can schumi be like kimi and drive in rally too if he wanted? i know its an easy question to answer but when i saw kimi drive in rally i realized f1 drivers are the top of the line drivers. because rally drivers will have a harder time adjusting to f1 then f1 adjusting to rally

Actually as far as I know the 430 doesn't break 200. It'll nudge it, but it doesn't actually break 200 even. it's not designed for top speed though, it's designed to corner like a housefly :D

In fact, i was wrong with this...i knew it just after posting the comment. I mixed up the conversion Horsepower-kw and km/h -mph. Horsepower to kw is 1.36 and mph to km/h is about 1.6...i was just a little confused that day^^

look, the ZR1 is simply an incredible car.
First off, in response to all the comments ablout how it simply uses greater displacement, that's not the case. It's a 6.2 liter engine, well within the range of all its european competitors. In addition, it's a V8 small block, clearly not some ridiculous pure big engine car like a dodge viper. Add all this to the fact that it beats cars 3-4 times its cost on the track and on the drag strip, and you have a superior, American car.

ZR1: EPA-rated 14 city and 20 highway mileage.
Porsche GT3: 11.9 city and 26.3 highway mileage.
German engineering is superior, but more costly. You pays your money (and you takes your choice), I guess...

The GT3 is made for a select market aimed at a customer that wants to buy it which is why Porsche will sell 1000's of GT3's and GM will sell a handful of ZR1's ask yourself do you not think that if Porsche really wanted to could they make the fastest street car ever they are the most profitable car company in the world, they have also won more motorsports events around the world in more classes than any other manufacturer ever.....think about it!

funny since Top gear just gave the Corvette ZR1 car of the year, the Corvette Z06 was 5th gear car of the year a year ago and the top 2 times held at the Nuremberg ring for production car is Viper ACR and Corvette ZR1. You also forget that Saleen S7 is one of the great super car in the world. Then there was the recent Ford GT. I think Americans are too busy building fighter jets, aircraft carriers, moon landing, Mars exploration, space shuttle and the internet to worry about the an Enzo.

The Cadillac CTS-V is the fastest production 4Door/Luxury car around Nurburgring, and the Cobalt SS turbo is the fastest FWD production car around the Nurburgring as well, to think American cars are junk you'd have to literally know nothing about cars.

yea i agree a 2009 corvette zr1 cost around 120,000 and it beat a buggatti veyron and nurburgring the only 3 cars that beat it because of the driver cost over 500,000 i say that is really good engineering.

For me the best car is the GT-R. It has ~160hp less then the ZR-1 300kg more weight and it is just 0.1s slower around the Nürburgring then the ZR1. I drove a couple of C6 and Z06 and I love the great engine and it is a great supercar, but the GT-R is just amazing.

well the ZR1 has a newer record time of 7:22.4, just 0.3 seconds off of the Dodge Viper ACR and alot better then the GT-Rs best time of 7:26.7.

but remember that dodge viper ACR was suspension tuned and was done with weight reduction that removed all saftey features and illegal areodynamics so i could beat the ZR1. i would say it cannot be consisdered a production car with those modifications. and that version that beat the ZR1 is not street legal so it cannot be a production car.

Well you can't say that because the Z06 gets more HP than the GT-R because it's naturally aspirated, as where the GT-R has Twin Turbos. Hennessey Performance has Twin Turbo systems for the Z06 that provide up to 1000hp
