Fuck! I had mixed feeling when I listen this song. Such a beautiful song, but my memories reaches in 1992 when war in Yugoslavia started and my family expeled from Croatia just because I am Serb. I did'n know what Serb and Croat mean at that age of 15.

Insieme: 1992 definitely deserved to win in 1990, it was a beautiful ballad sung in Italian by an Italian. Much better than Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in 2006 - I hated that song when it won. That said, I've since found "Hard Rock Hallelujah" fun for singing on white knuckle rides, e.g. Bling at Pleasure Beach Resort Blackpool.
Ahhh...memories! I still remember watching this live on tv in 1990...and the joy I felt when he won the contest! The Eurovision Song Contest had a different, I'd say more important meaning than today. So, as an Italian, and having grown up with Toto's music, I felt really proud. You can argue about the simple lyrics, but all in all it was and still is a good song. I can't believe it was 17 years ago...how time flies!
Im Italian and while searching some other songs of Toto Cutugno I find this and was surprised that this song won an european contest, just because I never heard that song and because I find it really terrible. Insieme: 1992 definitely deserved to win in 1990, it was a beautiful ballad sung in Italian by an Italian. Much better than Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in 2006 - I hated that song when it won. That said, I've since found "Hard Rock Hallelujah" fun for singing on white knuckle rides, e.g. Bling at Pleasure Beach Resort Blackpool.

Ahhh...memories! I still remember watching this live on tv in 1990...and the joy I felt when he won the contest! The Eurovision Song Contest had a different, I'd say more important meaning than today. So, as an Italian, and having grown up with Toto's music, I felt really proud. You can argue about the simple lyrics, but all in all it was and still is a good song. I can't believe it was 17 years ago...how time flies!

Im Italian and while searching some other songs of Toto Cutugno I find this and was surprised that this song won an european contest, just because I never heard that song and because I find it really terrible. Can't imagine how ugly the others must be for let winning this one. This is really a "canzone di merda!!" Nothing against Cutugno but this is one of his worst songs.
