  • Hi there! I hope your lessons are great! I was wearing dance leggings in the video. I ripped a few holes and fell after hooking my blade onto the leg of the yoga pants! lol!

  • My boots are Klingbeil S2 stock. A bit hard for me, but I got it on the net. Close-out. Blades are Ultima Legacy. Together they cost about $400 plus. If the boots were not close-out, the whole thing will cost more than $1000. You can try at Ice Edge and SkateSports. If you like it but think it's too expensive, order online. If you don't like the way the skates feel, then perhaps ordering another brand will help.

  • wow ugh when u do your scratch spin don't lift your leg up so much and up your loop is suppossed to be in a back spin

  • Ugh? My scratch is pretty much fixed now, and I've been trying to cross my legs for loop and other jumps. If you haven't noticed... my backspin is not "mastered" yet. So the crossing will come in time. Thanks for the help? Hopefully your channel gets videos uploaded regularly.

  • Ur sit spin , u sit down more and make ur leg more straight so it will spin faster

  • You're a skater from SG? I saw your profile... =) Sit spin is fine as long as it's in a recognisable sit position. I'm trying to cross my free leg when spinning now. That actually makes the spin faster.

  • hey there, may i know if this rink is the one that is smaller than Jurong's Fuji Ice Palace, or is it a newer one that is believed to be much bigger than Jurong's? thanks...

  • Technically, Kallang Ice World is larger. When you're there though, it looks smaller because it's more enclosed. There's only two rink in Singapore, so I don't know which you're comparing to. KIW is the newer rink. =)

    Do you skate? I see you're a dancer!

  • Good job! Sit spins looked nice :)

    For your spirals, the biggest piece of advice would be to straighten those knees. Try to lock them. You should really feel the top part of your butt muscle working to hold the free leg up. I saw that you've started using weights--good idea!

    For the loop--try to imagine that your left and right foot are connected by a magnet. When you take off, that left foot has to stay directly in front of the right. Also, try not to twist the upper body. rotation will come

  • That ice really does look good! I love to spin when the ice is really smooth!! You sit spin is really low, keep it up! Now I just gotta get mine like that!

    The ice was the smoothest. As if skating on a sheet of plastic!

    Just a tip for the forward spiral. Straiten your free leg a bit more :D

    i love your sit spins! they are nice!

    your scratch spin you should just let your free leg straight before closing them...and for loop you should tuck your hands in so that you can jump higher and get a better rotation:D..and for ur spiral you might want to keep your leg straight and not bend your knee!see ya in kallang in a month time!:D

    Scratch: I supposedly lift my leg too high and usually I don't remember to keep it open and straight. Gotta work on that.

    Loop: It happens to all jumps, I'm serious. And yes, you can show me the outraged face. Haha. I get the rotation though... most times...

    Spiral: It's a weird thing. I was so certain I straightened the skating leg. But the left spiral was horrible because I lowered my back too early.

  • wow! even if your sit spins are inconsistent, they are BEAUTIFUL. I love the first one, with the broken leg variation on the end of it. your loops look like they improved a lot. You could try practicing your spirals against the boards and that might help, or bending your back over just a little bit more, but they're really not that low. Your Y-spiral is amazing though. Great Job.

  • The broken leg us an accident actually. When I first started doing sit-spins, I couldn't turn my leg out and somehow it's easier to do a broken leg. I'll try that with the spirals! Thanks!
