  • Linda does good covers of other songs--almost as good as the originals--shows she is an orignal ---I think she rockabillies these originals--slows em down a little so that we get to see the song all over again--and we should as they are great songs.

  • buddy holly better

  • Talent was back in the day.

  • I am not a fan at all., But this song is just great in every aspect, the writing, the lyircs and the peformance is absolutely perfect in an emotional way. I really love that song, thanks Linda and everybody involved.

  • It´s sooo easy to fall in love with a woman like Linda !!!

  • happy birthday, two days early, sweetheart.a gentleman never reveals a lady's age and while i may not be a gentleman, you truely are a lady.

  • i remember reading an old feature on linda back in the seventies where the writer describes linda doing her dishes and singing to herself,'it's so easy to have a hit,all you've got to do is recycle it.'

  • wooo hooo it so easy ......my love thnks alot fr gr8 song

  • ive always loved dis song! haha :p

  • it's so easy to buy a car!

  • Great!!

  • The 5 cretins who gave this thumbs down are at costco trying out hearing aids.

  • The dude with the red hair? is that Peter from Peter and Gordon?

  • @Tonithenightowl Yes It is. Peter Asher was also Linda's manager at the time..

  • @LBjim Didn't know he was her manager at the time but I was pretty sure that was him lol I loved the duo of Peter and Gordon, I still listen to their stuff. I think Gordon passed away not that long ago. They were part of my youth and I will always cherish their contribution to the greatest era for music ever. You know, the 60's lol

  • REAL TALENT BACK IN THE DAY<3

  • Keine wird so sein wie sie - liebenswert - None will be like her - adorable

  • you go girlie!

  • she should perform in the nude.

  • I think the big thing that sets Linda R apart from todays so called divas is the obvious. She could really sing! No techno fake voice crap here.

  • @waynemegaman Nail on the head, sir.

  • @waynemegaman I would like to point out, Cher did techno crap in "Beleive" The diffrence in my opinion, she could sing AND was beatiful (Max Brooks put it best "A blonde-haired tired lookin little whore famous for being... well a blonde-haired tired lookin little whore." in a description of Paris Hilton)

  • my type of sheila yum

  • Nur GEIL !!!!

  • 今天早上想起我的高中時代

  • @akibolee YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH

  • This video (and others on here) were from an HBO special that aired in the summer of 1980. I know because I watched it when it premiered. Linda was touring in 1980 to promote her album "Mad Love."

  • @cheappd Yes!! That was the summer we got HBO and I distinctly remember watching this concert. That was also the summer I first saw "Grease" "Superman" & "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

  • More cowbell!;-)

    Great Linda!

  • This song "It's so easy to fall in love" from that Linda

Ronstadt, looks like that Fisher-Price Second Volume

of Grown Up Today, a Song called "It's not easy" on

Fisher-Price Volume 2 Grown Up Today, and they're

the same song on TV, Radio, Video, and on Records,

in the 70s' and in the 80s', and they go like this. . .

IT'S SO EASY TO FALL IN LOVE and IT'S NOT EASY

BEING GROWN-UPS It was on Records, and on

Radio, and on TV, and of course on Fisher-Price

Vol. 2 Grown Up Today Video

  • I like Cyndi Wang version better.. o-o "Rainbow Smile"

  • Nice version, but not as good as Buddy.

  • @ryanmanunited99 Ohhh. it's as good, and even better. I love Buddy Holly, I'm 67 and was there, and at school in Feb 1959 when heard the awful news. I have a CD of all his hits, this one is great, but Linda's has more passion, fire, more of a rocker. I love the way she ends it. She's probably the only singer who can make someone else's hit her own and make it even better.

  • Hit #5 pop, #37 AC, #81 country in Billboard. God bless!

  • tolles lied macht richtig stimmung.....

  • I have to say of all the versions of this song this is by far the best one. What is Linda doing today anyway?

  • Love this song so much.

  • Thanks Linda for make me feel good by your song.

  • "It's So Easy To Fall In Love..." with Linda Ronstadt! She is so pretty and sings GREAT!

  • This track reminds me of my early years at university..........Linda Ronstadt has a beautiful voice and indeed similar body configuration with my first girl friend............I wish I can meet any of them in future.

  • Great singer - amazing band. Hall of Fame line-up! Sorry I didn't see this line-up when they were touring. . . .

  • I Totally Love her !!!!!!!!!

  • i love her

  • love this song

  • Go! Linda Ronstadt ,you are cool & sexy.

  • The ORIGINAL Pat Benetar

  • What a KILLER voice!!

  • gschdörd ... :) crazy =) Now, however it's very funny! i love it =)

  • This is awesome, i've been listenin to buddy hollies version all day......now i can't this one outta my head...Thanks

  • Ha, that's funny. I guess that means she is moving on up to the East Side.

  • hahahaha

i found out that shes the cousin of my grandma:):)

    soo cool

maybe im gonna met her next summer if im gonna be in USA:)

    soo cool!!!!

  • Can I ask, without anyone getting offended, if they thought they were hearing in the misheard lyrics department Linda singing in the song a song to Louise Jefferson? (She sounds like George Jefferson saying "Weezy").

  • That's Russ Kunkel on the drums.

He did the drums for James Taylor on the JT album. The most known song from that album is "Smiling Face".

  • I never cared for Buddy Holly's version of this, in fact I heard Ronstadt's version FIRST, and then decades later, heard Holly's. Ronstadt has really made a lot of the songs her own, considering the the originals were SO OLD, and original singers dead or never as successful with the song. The songs Ronstadt "covered" were lucky Ronstadt exposed them.

  • i agree except with tumbling dice the rolling stones had a much bigger hit and i liked it better but i do like her version!

  • linda ronstadt version it's so powerful in what it means vocal interpretation.

  • was this the L A concert in 1980? Crazy as it sounds , I remember the shirt Peter Asher is wearing.... It was a great concert and that was a long time ago

  • she was great we can thank her 4 the eagles...

  • Linda looks a little like Patty Smythe here.

  • If enyone knows a difference between the original and the cover versions, please tell me.

  • they have this in Chinese. Cyndi Wang- Rainbow smile. not too bad.

  • Would be easy to fall in love.... with her! oops! = = TOO Late- I already am! lol

  • nice song...it`s so easy to fall in good mood...;)

  • A nice modern cover version of a Buddy Holly song. Thanx.

  • What year was this?

  • I'm guessing it was 1980 or 1981, probably a tour to promote her 1980 album, "Mad Love." One of the guitarists Danny Kortchmar, later worked with Don Henley on his biggest 1980s solo albums (Building the Perfect Beast, and The End of the Innocence.

  • Early 1980.

  • seems like pat benatar was influenced by linda....anyone agree?

  • @oscarwilde30 EVERYBODY was influenced by Linda! She was/is the greatest singer of her generation.

  • @oscarwilde30 Sure, but Pat Benatar is harder. Same look. You're right.

  • @oscarwilde30 Pat Benatar was already on the scene back then, but wasn't as famous as after *79.

  • @oscarwilde30 I would guess that just about every rock chick was influenced by the lovely Linda, after all, she was a bit of a pioneer in this genre.

  • @oscarwilde30 I was just thinking the same thing! (2 years after you thought it...)

  • super song

  • There is no substitute for talent; she has such a nice voice and can sing R&R, Blues, Ballads and in freaking Spanish. Live Long and Prosper Linda!

  • dang, she sounds great

  • @jamesstephenlee HUNNY SHE ALWAYS SOUNDS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is great,thanks
