Have not heard anything about our path in Penegoes for a while , does any one know wahts happening , I would like to know , as i do live in the village , and walk to Mach quite often
We can only judge what is seen here on Youtube (a 3 minute 17 second clip with no Welsh other than place names). Why not post the whole video on here?
I have seen the full 12min video which has more Welsh language than English. The villagers of Penegoes are local people who are trying to improve their access to the town. This video has nothing to do with English oppression. You would be better looking at being proud of the Welsh community for their efforts in improving Wales for themselves.
You Tryweryn lot are off your heads, the village got drowned in 1965 and the villagers were laughing all the way to the bank thanks to it.Move on and stop dwelling on the past.
Pam mai dim ond Saeson sydd ar y fideo yma. Beth oedd y pwynt symud i gefn gwlad Cymru os nad yw'r ffyrdd i fynu at ei safon nhw? Dwi'n siwr fod yna rhwydwaith dda o lonydd Seiclo a llwybrau troed yn ninasoedd Lloegr. Peidiwch a dinistro ein bro!
I walked from Mach to Penegoes with a baby in a buggy and felt extremely vulnerable. Where there was a verge it was impossible to wheel the buggy through the long grass and difficult lifting it up and down. When on the road traffic was perilously close presenting a potentially dangerously situation. I now use the car at all times on that route. Not a healthy solution for myself or the residents of Penegoes !
The organisers have done a lot more than produce this video. It's all been done because there is a great need for the safe route. There will be no inconvenience to other road users and the finished pathway will not be noticeable.
Its great to see communities gettig together to improve their environment. The road is really dangerous for cyclists and walkers. Well done for looking for a healthier way to travel.
The area around Machynlleth is one of the most beautiful in Wales, so why spoil it with a footpath. You can guarantee that a dicrete footpath along the verge would not be allowed these days and that something resembling the M6 would need to be built to comply with legislation. Why not just tarmac over the whole area while you're at it? It would make Penegoes less attractive to live in and people would move, therefore no need for a footpath!
first time i've seen the bloke in the wheelchair and i'm on that stretch of road nearly every day, they've just resurfaced it so it'll be a smoother ride for him...didnt i see that jcb leading the procession working on the derwenlas cycle path last year,,,, makes you think doesnt it
Boyracer ... get a life! As for you Kevlad - 'that bloke in the wheel chair should get a taxi... or build a pavement' ... erm that's what they're saying they want to do! Doh!!
How selfish of the protest march to clog up the highway between Mach and Penegoes, Which as stated in your report is a very busy Trunk road. Does the man in the wheelchair have tax and insurance? And how cruel to use the dog to pull the wheelchair (RSPCA Informed)

We would move on, but these things are constant reminders of English oppression over the Welsh people. Cymru am Byth!
