Free agency not to mention the later rounds in the draft you can still find good players. Johnny Knox and Kahlil Bell were found in the later rounds. Orton is just a stand-in for now, until the broncos can find a full-time QB. I mean, Cutler was okay...to say the least. He had one of the best O-lines in the league that was BUILT around him, and still couldn't get the job done. Although this was partly Shanahan's fault (don't get me wrong, i still have a soft spot in my heart for the old vet), he starved the D-line to build the O-line. So he went to ONE pro bowl, big deal, he certainly hasn't showed it on the gridiron.

Cutler is one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. You can call him a crybaby all you want but he is a top ten quarterback and he will reign in the weak NFC north division. Chicago will be a great home for him - he is from Santa Claus, Indiana - not far from Chicago. Orton is good for more interceptions than cutler with the footwork of a statue. He will get the Broncos to 2nd or 3rd place in the weak AFC west.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Cutler, but he did praise Orton pretty highly for being a hard worker and a great teammate, which is exactly the kind of player McDaniels wants. Orton is obviously not as talented as Cutler, but he's a far better student of the game and a better leader. The Bears mortgaged their future to get Cutler, the Broncos got the better end of the deal.
However, what makes me upset is how McDaniels fails to replace Cutler. Kyle Orton with few draft picks. Orton is not good as Cutler of course and he did not know how to lead those good WRs the broncos had. Also getting Teebow after acquiring Quinn was a really stupid decision. okay here is my opinion on cutler trade. Since, Jay cutler has diabetes, it is questionable whether he could be a long term stable quaterback. No matter how good treatment he or she gets, diabetes pt's body ages faster. (It does not necessarily mean they will die earlier). In other words they could be injured easily. I don't know about baseball (since they have few successful players with diabetes), but football is totally different sports. Therefore, the trade was not hard struck as many fans

Free agency not to mention the later rounds in the draft you can still find good players. Johnny Knox and Kahlil Bell were found in the later rounds. Not to mention Bears are getting a surplus of money and sign free agents. Chris Williams did very well against Jared Allen when it was first stint as a tackle. The only issues is the coaching that that under evaluates the talent they have already.

Orton is just a stand-in for now, until the broncos can find a full-time QB. I mean, Cutler was okay...to say the least. He had one of the best O-lines in the league that was BUILT around him, and still couldn't get the job done. Although this was partly Shanahan's fault (don't get me wrong, i still have a soft spot in my heart for the old vet), he starved the D-line to build the O-line. So he went to ONE pro bowl, big deal, he certainly hasn't showed it on the gridiron.

Kyle Orton hasn't really had a chance to make anything of himself but he does half a 21-12 career record as a start, not bad at all. He also has a much better attitude and will be a leader, something Jay Cutler Is not and that's what the Broncos need.

Mcdaniels ddnt fuck nethng up, cutler wanted out so mcdaniels got a good trade for him, i'd much rather have a decent QB with all our weapons who cares for the game (Orton) than a wasted strong arm that comes with poor decision making (Cutler), not too mention we have two good drafts years coming, i hope we pick up some defensive linemen in the first round. whether we pick up a young QB or a DL in the first round i don't think it will be a wasted draft pick, as long as we don't draft another WR

I got fed up with Jay's antics in Denver, but there's no denying the guy can ball, and he's a much better bet than an unproven draft pick, and an upgrade over Orton.
And as for us....it is what it is, he didn't want to be here, so at least we got what I think is good value for him....as long as Mcdoofus doesn't fuck up the draft. I guess Broncos fans will just have to wait and see how it turns out.

There's fault to be had on both sides, but IMO the bigger blame lies with Cutler. He let his snake of an agent, Bus Cook (Brett Favre anyone?) play on his thin skinned personality. 90% of Denver was behind him when this thing started, and he managed to turn that completely around in a matter of a few weeks.
As far as him being traded, I'm a little torn...the guy is obviously got talent, but he's not bigger than the team. Will I miss his ability? Of course. Will I miss the whining? Not at all.

Cutler is one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. You can call him a crybaby all you want but he is a top ten quarterback and he will reign in the weak NFC north division. Chicago will be a great home for him - he is from Santa Claus, Indiana - not far from Chicago. Orton is good for more interceptions than cutler with the footwork of a statue. He will get the Broncos to 2nd or 3rd place in the weak AFC west.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Cutler, but he did praise Orton pretty highly for being a hard worker and a great teammate, which is exactly the kind of player McDaniels wants. Orton is obviously not as talented as Cutler, but he's a far better student of the game and a better leader. The Bears mortgaged their future to get Cutler, the Broncos got the better end of the deal.
