Thats gotta be the 4890. You couldn't get a 4870 up to 950mhz core clock even on water. the original gen of those chips were great but they didn't overclock well. 4890 is what changed that.

The XOC is not OC'ed to 950mhz....most RV770's won't hit that, the real clock speed of the XOC is 800 mhz, and on the memory it's 4400 Mhz...Why do I know? I have one....

i made the mistake of buying this card the 4870 black edition, and its been a nightmare ever since. has enyone red a revue on this card. it is unstabe at factory overclock. it also overheats and crashes the pc. you asked this on another video dude ... anyways your board will only support 1 of these cards since it is nVidia chipset you cannot run 2 or more in CrossX, you WILL need to Upgrade your PSU to at least a 550w, or you will bottle neck the card. your Quads should be overclocked i have the same cpu's OC'd to 3.5 and i upped my frames alot from Stock clock on the cpu. i reccomend you do so to

My 4850 is running at 45c at idle, while gaming it runs at 60c. The games i play doesn't require a GTX 280 or a 4870x2, In reality I really don't know what game requires those highend cards. As far as I know Crysis Warhead runs really good on my 4850 with everything max. The only game i see using a highend card like the GTX 280 or the 4870x2 is the old Crysis game but not Crysis Warhead. So that being said i'm happy with my ATI 4850, cause it does everything i need it to do.
