funny to come back to this 3 years on...the same shapes are still on google earth, obviously artefacts of less than perfect data. i see blossom has finally given up on the FoL ever telling the truth, after another failed prediction for this year about pillars of light appearing over the earth...then changing their tunes at the last minute when it's not happened.

I have to ask. Have you considered that maybe, just maybe Google Earth had a glitch? It is a program after all and they are subject to change. Maybe someone hacked it. Maybe it was hacked and that's all.

The land images do not change very often. The land image of my house did change a year ago... However the cloud/weather images change several times a day... and the shapes were voids in the cloud images...

Google earth images are updated every One to Three years. Google earth is also made up of slices. Different satellite images at different times that are pieced together like a puzzle. Thats why so many people see glitches or funny spots.

according to google earth's website, all of the images range from 1 year, to 3 years old. Nothing more recent. I was curious myself, and just thought i'd pass along that info.

I beg to differ with you... the weather/cloud images are updated very often ) I do not know the exact time frame, but the clouds and weather are very current and updated often... and the hurricane tracking... I agree that not the earth image as a whole but the upper atmosphere images are current...
