Yeah, that icon is pretty clearly ness. There you see a blue bill on his hat on the side, which is what ness wears. Pokemon Trainer's hat has a white bill facing forward and a white circle on the front, which is distinguishable as shown when you highlight groudon. Even with such a small image. it's pretty easy to tell who's who
I think that there is one more thing that people forgot. When you see the Sonic sticker, note that there is only Sonic on it. This basically confirms that there will be no more Sonic Playable Characters. That means no Knuckles, Tails, or Shadow as playable characters.
Well do note that there's only room enough for so many third party characters. Sonic is in, and that's really all we need. All the supporting characters can easily get Assist trophy roles, and that's all that's necessary
I was losing hope of Ness being in Brawl, his moves are pretty good so I like to use him, Jigglypuff was no surprise, BUT LUCARIO!?! I was hoping he'd be in it, and now he is! : )
4 in the pokemon team is enough in my eyes, we only have 3 zelda characters at the moment, ONLY *technically* 2 metroid characters, but both being samus. And only 1 star fox character, and a f-zero character hasn't been confirmed yet.
Though, the red alloy punches and kicks like c falcon, 1 character isnt enough.
Im sure they are in the game, i bet they are showing those character icons to show which characters in the game can use the sticker and apparently all the pokemon can use the groudon sticker and then nintendo replaced it.

Ugh. There's space for 5 icons, that doesn't mean there's a fifth Pokemon character. All the stickers use the same format, so maybe one of them applies to 5 characters. This leak makes it very likely that Mewtwo is gone, since if they were going to blank out unconfirmed characters they wouldn't have shown Lucario or Jigglypuff to begin with.

I think that there is one more thing that people forgot. When you see the Sonic sticker, note that there is only Sonic on it. This basically confirms that there will be no more Sonic Playable Characters. That means no Knuckles, Tails, or Shadow as playable characters.
