it was brought to my attention that she played a good cleopatra. maybe this short vid doesn't do her justice or maybe the whole movie is like this: very boring. The woman on the left at :55 is "more queen" than the lead is; and she's only a helper. I don't know why it's so difficult to imagine a dark skinned/brown/tanned woman in position of authority. Hmmm....

She's beautiful, but she's not as convincing as Elizabeth Taylor was. Taylor gave such a strong, dignified performance that I don't think any other woman can play a better Cleopatra.

I'm sorry but these Cleopatra movies have a humdrum look to them which isn't how the story was at all ...in fact as serious as it was ...it was actually quite weird and funny how it all came together and ended ...despite the heartbroken situations.
