  • Maybe some chors or strings can make it brighter ... anyway very nice melody !

  • @Fassbinderisdead It was meant to be sad. From the poem in the album liner notes, this song represents the final stage of life, using the metaphor of Christmas lights - "...if one light should fail, the others would still burn bright..."

  • Fantastic. Most people aren't aware of the fresh Aire Seires, thinking that Mannheim Steamroller is strictly a Christmas group

  • Friend that I number of voice use in dgx 505 for this song

  • Love it. But would have sounded better if you had used a real piano with a microphone.

  • @patrick9648

    Thanks!

Don't have a real piano, or a microphone. Would you like to provide them? : )

  • @at90percent I'll ship you a Steinway on UPS. LOL. I actually like you're playing.

  • @patrick9648 Don't forget the microphone too LOL

  • It sounds a little higher than usual, but I kinda like it! You've done a very nice version on this piece. Great job, and keep up the great work!

  • ehh- not bad, but not great.

  • OH mein Gott!!

    Ich hätte gerne deine Finger!!

  • very nice interpretation, I have the book for the original script, I guess I will post it

  • a beutiful piece, might you give me the chords of the right hand in the second part...??????? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I really came to love this piece. My friend in class played it once and it was amazing. It was amazing because she played it fast but it was beautiful. I would love to find a recording online of someone playing it faster because I can't hear my friend play all the time. But you did play it beautifully as well!

  • You aren't the only one! There are several of the quieter/slower songs by Mannheim that do that to me... I feel like it's just the stress flowing out of me though...

  • That's great!! A great song/artist and a great job playing it. Thanks.

  • Beautiful !

  • Thank you. It is a very moving piece as Chip Davis has written it.

  • I know you are probably going to get this alot, but could you please post a tutorial? You don't have to, but it would be greatly appreciated.

  • at 0:25 you need to bring the thrid note in that arpeggio up to an F, not C sharp.

  • I see what you mean. I listened to the original again. Thanks for the suggestion.

I never had sheet music for it.

  • yea i didnt have sheet music either. thats the way i played it too, until i heard the original on cd and realized it was a bit different.

  • 5 Stars & Favorited. I've loved Mannheim Steamroller ever since their 1st album & have seen them live twice. Wonderfull shows. Your playing really captured their spirit. Thank for sharing.

  • 5 stars

  • i love this song but you kinda played it slow(i think) it's slower than my mom plays it and she is the one who introduced me to the song

    very good

  • Thanks, I'm thinking that you may only have heard your mom's version and not heard the original from the record.

The original recording is almost exactly the speed I played it, if anything, the original recording, might even be a touch slower. : )

  • your right i have only ever heard my mom play it

  • Thank you both.

  • fantastic well done I love Chip Davis Music

  • Very nice playing.
