  • My mom's engine and trans. went in her car with the extended warranty. That saved her $20,000. She paid $1,500 for the warranty.

  • any lcd over 1000 your just stupid if you dont buy a warranty.they will break down on you leaving you with your dick in your hand and your money down the toilet.

  • what a faggot.

    Im Stacey Johnson.

  • If anyone here owns the XBox360, Id buy the extended warranty if i were u lmao! Or just sell it for another console that actually works like a PS3 or Wii ^_^

  • i can say from working with electronics professionally for over ten years that any electronic device can stop working at any time reguardless of how much it is used.you can get some things brand new out of the box and they won't work

  • Most warranties do not cover physical damage. Cell phones are so innovative that extended warranties arnt with it. Even though a televisions just sit there, it doesnt mean they wont break. Even as a sold state technology, flat panels still have processing defects and the repair costs are extremely high, due to way the television is engineered.

  • I wouldn't buy any TV over 40 inches without a extended warranty, simply because there is soo much to loose if something does go wrong...

  • I've had my LCD for about 3 years now. I paid about $700 for it. I've seen simular TVs, old and new for 50% on ebay and even some retailers. Now I've learned from past experience that paying for a TV or a oven to be repaired more than once is not worth it. I see TVs from Ebay Stores I've used that are better even if they are used. Next time my oven breaks, I am simply buying a new one. A decent new one cost as much as the last 2 repairs.

  • @sammen89 i didn't take it and 1 month over the warranty one of the pixel lines has blown and now there's an annoying black line running across the screen

  • Something missing from this report.... How much wear does the unit get?

In my case, all DVD players AND recorders failed within 2 yrs. I used them allot.

I also consider moving parts & thinness. Both can go wrong. Moving parts (DVD player motors, flip phones crack, etc). Brand names are also at play here. Generic, less known products are more flimsy, than established names/brands.

My own suggestion, research complaints of the products. You can Google "complaints, (then the product name)."

  • I hope you're not buying them all new unless it is at a considerable discount?
