I LOVE Bowie. He's my favorite musician in the history of music. I'm moved by his music in the same way certain people are moved by church music. Having said that The Killers are my second favorite of all time. The fact that this combines the two is sheer genius to me. Just listen to the music. If you don't like it....move on. If do then enjoy. Don't argue about who's better because no one is ever going to win.

Monotone vocals(no range),verses homonymous with the choruses(bad songwriting) and unremarkable instrumental breaks(bad musicianship) Killers are in the same class as U2,Nickelback or Oasis,wanna-be artists putting out product that echoes with the sounds of salesmen.

And I definitely think that no one but Mick Ronson and David Bowie should play this song again because no one can ever top them. I was just blown away at the fact that The Killers attempted it.. Uh yeah, they do a better version than the White Stripes LOL. And they do a good job at the over all riffs, and you can hear the uh...sliding-on-one-string (forgive me) thing that Ronson does, although they don't pull the solo off as well.

I don't know any band that doesn't it better than them, they did a job good enough not to be embarrassed by.

I don't usually write into these things,and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and while this is a pretty good cover and the Killers are a good band(loved the Del Shannon bit thrown into the mix), I Had Inadvertently just done a side by side listen to both this and the 'Ziggy' version.Anyone doing the same'experiment' will likely have the same result;The 'Ziggy ' version TOTALLY annihilates this version; The Reason?.....in one name......RONSON!
