thats the same engine that I have in my ratrod coupe....I used a 85 ford F350 bell housing, 390 flywheel, and bolted a top loader 4 spd to it...I got a weld your own header set for under $140 from speedway...
factory rated at 365 hp 495 tq, how can you go wrong? AND 10.5:1 cr. My dad put this in his 49 plymouth wagon and really woke it up. Do a youtube search on Knot Rod, he used this exact car for the engine, trans and rear end, very cool ride bro-
Hey I noticed you don't have headers on that 460, just the stock exhaust manifolds. I can find headers for a 460 but none that are made to fit in a Lincoln Mark III, I have been looking everybody. If anybody knows where I can find some performance headers that would be sweet.
have you tried crites restoration parts they make headers for 460s to go into ford cars that didnt come with 460s i have some on my 67 fairlane had to bend #7 pipe to fit but they work fine otherwise good luck!
there is a kit you can get and make them your self im doing this for my mustang, basicly you angle the tubes where u want them and weld a bracket and your done.
good derby car

@avtrider44, no, these are nice cars, use some mid 70s lincolns or cadillacs, the late 60s and early 70s ones should be left alone
