  • Thank you! i sort of understood it before, but this is what i needed.

  • I could never quite understand retrograde motion until I watched this video. He makes it so simple!

  • wow. he's just so amazing, im literally in love with him...

  • some really good stuff here

  • love the video really good

  • He looks like justin bieber :P

  • He changed sticks, I call fake. He also cleaned up after he broke the stick on the first cross. I call mega fake (Joking)

  • So interesting. I could listen to Brian talk all day.

  • Next, he will explain solar flares using an acorn and some bat guano. :-P

    I love this guy!

  • OMG i learned something so cool!!!! o.o

  • is almost perfect circular orbit...but isn't...amazing...and this little difference have a big results...lol.

  • coowl

  • where to watch the complete episode?

  • here...this is the video that i'm talking about.

i have one video with some pictures from stereo spacecraft that have a sample of this retrograde motion.

2007 02 25 stereo behind cor 1 and cor2 and all euvi kinds.

    Thanks a lot.

BBC...if you can post this video like a reply to my video i'm really apreciate.

i'm try to put the video, but the copyrights block my video.

    Thanks for share.

  • Perfect.. what a great youtube 'find'.!!

  • "Understanding the retrograde motion of Mars didn't come easy, that's why it took over 2000 years to work out.. But i'm gonna explain it using a stick and some rocks.."

And he does it so well, that everyone can see!! Such a great communicator! :)

  • I loved this series with it's wonderful visuals and amazing locations, but for me it is this perfect, simple explaination that was the highlight. Nice one Brian.

  • 'simple'

    :-)

  • retrograde motion.

  • retrograde motion.

  • "I'm gonna explain it using a stick, and some rocks... then I'm gonna use the stick, the rocks, and some bubble-gum to build a helicopter and escape".

  • This may explain the backwards motions of Mars in relationship, but how does one account for the vertical component of the motions observed?

There is no proof of the helio-centric model of the Solar System theory as postulated by academicians . The late Dr. Keshava Bhat discovered after 40 years of direct observations from equatorial regions around the globe, this model to be false. He concluded our Solar System is a huge vortex with the planets following the Sun, not orbiting around it.

  • @77GSlinger Idiot. We stopped believing in the heliocentric threory hundreds of years ago. Heliocentric theory is about the Earth and other planets revolving around a star AT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. You are right, there is no evidence for it... thats why we do not believe it!

    D'Oh!

  • @ProjectVRD No you fucking pathetic moron, you don't even know what you are talking about. The Helio Centric Theory is taught in quackademia right now. It means the Sun is in the center of our Solar System and we orbit around it on an ecliptic plane. That is the theory ok ? You didn't even pay attention when they were brainwashing you with this garbage and you can't even recount it.

The planets do not orbit around the Sun on an ecliptic plane they follow the Sun in huge Helical Spiral!

  • @77GSlinger In modern calculations, the origin and orientation of a coordinate system often are selected for practical reasons, and in such systems the origin in the center of mass of the Earth, of the Earth-Moon system, of the Sun, of the Sun plus the major planets, or of the entire solar system can be selected. HOWEVER, such selection of "heliocentric" coordinates has only practical implications and not physical ones. I will let you find the correct terminology using "quackamedia"! OWNED!

  • @ProjectVRD NO it means that the planets orbit the Sun and this is not the case. Dr. Bhat has proved it with 40 years of personal observations, which disprove the helio-centric version sold by quackademia. You don't own anytthing dude and your self flattering description reveals the enormity of your ego and adds nothing to the discussion. It's just tripe and nothing more. Your schpiel about coordinate systems if of course a diversion and sophistry.

  • @77GSlinger If we are following the sun, then explain to me what causes the seasons. The seasons are brought on by the Earth orbiting the sun. The Earth orbits the sun in an eclipse. The Earths axis is tilted and when the north pole is tilted away from the sun when the earth is furthest from the sun, it brings winter to the northern hemisphere. And just the opposite, when the north pole is tilted towards the sun it on the other point of the orbit, it brings on summer. Heliocentric Theory.

  • @pgbandgeek09 I aw well aquainted with the academic view. I was also brainwashed with it in my youth. It's provably wrong! See Dr. Bhat's videos on youtube "Solar System A new Interpretation and you can download his book "Helical Helix" from my website in chapter 8. Everything you have stated can be better explained by a helical trajectory for all planets as the follow the Sun like a great Serpent, hence all the ancient symbolism relating to serpents or twin opposing sepents etc.

  • love him lol

  • wow. that was well explained. btw the almost circular orbit is called an ellipse. ;)

  • Well explained :)

  • This is the best way Ive seen this explained - that I can remember. What an awesome video!

  • my brain just asploded

  • i didnt get it but i know what hes sayin. thats cool though

  • a great way of explaining it

  • What an ingenious way of explaining it.

  • thats soooo cool

  • ahh i remember this from my astronomy lessons !

    :)

  • So very cool

  • wow thats so cool

  • great,,,,,,
