  • holy shit, i actually was thinking of a bear...

  • I always wonder if I was in that situation, would I be thinking of a teddy bear?

  • One thing I couldn't figure out, is the point of tossing the pants around. I don't think he did anything to place the image of a bear in the childrens head, as this was taken care of by the placement of the trays, therefore - why the pants gag?

  • @mortenwebno Losing them up, kids are more hostel to adults then you may think he made a joke they probably never heard a adult making thus making him one of them in there mind.

  • The point of her reading it over and over, is that he can stop the hand painting job just when he wants, and just when it looks something like a bear shape. Also, the paint trays are placed in each corner, which naturally makes the kids gather around them in such a way, that they block painting on the sides, between the corners, in that way it becomes shaped something like an X, which is part of the shape of a teddybear. My guess is that he also placed "teddybear messages" for her up front.

  • 240p......we meet again.

  • 1:45->2:05

Allow a image to form in you mind, from the back of the mind bearfoward (makes bear ear shape with hands)

  • i was thinking of a cruise ship. They always think of such simple things! make it more complex and we have a different story

  • really weird i though of a bear, as the picture. before she even told the story.

  • @squirtleenblastoise I wonder what the other half a million + viewers thought. I picked elephant.

  • what the name of the music in the begining?

    and the and?

  • why is this label with "psychic abilities" - dont you even know who derren brown is??

  • Sorry, but their hand painting looked nothing like a bear.

  • @sdflksdfkfh I know you made this comment 3 weeks ago, but there's somethig you should know. That was kind of the whole point. The kids were never being tested at all so the video description is totally misleading along with most of the video too. The picture the kids painted looked nothing like a teddy bear, but probably the one and only picture she could see in this picture that looked nothing like a teddy bear, despite no obvious suggestions of a teddy bear, was indeed a teddy bear.

  • @BulbaBryan Wait, what? You started making sense there for a little bit and then you lost me.

  • @sdflksdfkfh I think that's the point. She convinces herself that she can see a bear even though it's just a big brown blob. It's like the way people see Jesus in their toast.

  • muzic,muzic,muzic,muzic? 0.00 zna ktoś?

  • Want to learn what enlightenment really is?Is your quest for truth beginning to feel like running around in circles?mind reading, astral projection, telekinesis, it is all real.THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM it is time to wake up.

  • The song at 0:04 is some remix of Deadmau5 - Brazil (Second Edit).

  • @davegrayvis Oh this needs more upvotes. Have an upboat from me.

  • Does someone know the song at the beginning??? please.

  • , he has hypnotized the children as well

did you noticed how he gave them a "shock" with the headmistress "pants" then he actually shows them the pants

that's a well known technique to hypnotize some one

  • There was two tricks there. First, he used his text to make her think about a bear. Second, the kids made a bear. I don't think they were influenced at all by the story, or then verry little. The trick was mostly to make the teacher belive that she was seeing a bear when all she realy witnessed was a shapeless form. What do you guys think

  • isnt this something like scotoma....the mind sees what it chooses to see....

    DaVinci code!

    lol

    whatever im drunk

    salud

  • Well done...

    Rigged, but well done...

  • 3:45 - "Thank you all and... BEARy well done."

  • "i really hate my beak its emBEARable"

  • I think the story had little to do with her choosing the teddy bear. I believe it was imprinted in her before she was given the story with linguistic influences in their conversations. If anything, the story just exemplified the idea of the teddy bear.

Also the children didnt paint a teddy bear. Derren just stopped them when he noticed he could spot a bear shape in the mess of the painting. He then proceeded to draw out a similar shape for the lady so that she could notice it. She was primed.

  • this one was total bollocks... "if you just ignore this part, and let me draw a blue line through anything, you'll see the teddy that your drew"...

  • @ToshiroDK as if u cant see it before the blue u stupid fuck

  • Haha so cool

  • ending is interesting

  • OMG why did Derren Brown never talk to me in 1st grade??? D:

  • obviously...i saw a shape of a dick in there...and the teacher began to lick it really hard because she was in a trance

  • and the work of the government for decades playin these sorta games on the people..

  • NLP Biatches

  • Now that was fun. Good Job Bro.

  • What...the...fuck...

  • this is a devastating proof that subliminal messages in all materials (reversed songs, ads, cartoons....etc.) works 100% on all of us......freaky.

  • @ammar3arafa

No, not at all. If you call this proof then you really are gullible enough to be influenced by "subliminal messages". A rational mind would point out 100 things that would question this video.

On a more general note. I have seen some clips of him now on youtube. On those where he explains how he does it, he doesn't explain how he really does it. The explanations he gives are flawed. So he uses these false explanations to fool us. All suspicion ceases when he "explains" the trick.

  • Am I the only one who thinks the explanations of the tricks are even better (more fascinating) than the tricks themselves?

  • i thought of a tank :(

  • o thought of a teddy bear too

  • daaaaaamn that's a fat teacher..

  • hmmmmmm....that one wasn't as impressive..

  • Thanks Derren Brown for getting me really fucking paranoid.

  • I enjoy watching Derren Brown's work. However, after watching this I decided to look at his "Wikipedia" profile again and after hitting "search" a picture of a teddy bear came up. I typed in "teddy bear". -_-

  • So if I do a subliminal message of "I want to have sex" in that way will I get free sex?

  • @dustball3010 No ..... b/c it doesn't matter what You want. The other person is got to want it...lol So maybe your subliminal message should be more detailed or exact, in order to work. Like... ''' you want to have sex with Me.... "" lol That way you can be sure to do it right. lol

  • omg throughout her reading, i was like, why the heck does a bear want a red beak? and was thoroughly confused. HAhahahahaha

  • I was thinking of a bear myself, and I didn't even see all that stuff.

  • haha cool

  • PEDO BEAR...........!

  • that painting was a bit of a stretch..

  • @BluesSkillz yes, kind like like religion does, so he shoulnd't assume the sketch as a hit. The rest was great though

  • She was so underwhelmed by it. I wonder if she didn't really think Teddy Bear, but was just conforming out of pressure.

  • @JohnnyAlpha1000 i hate to say it but i kinda have to agree with you, she does look like she was just playing along. i do think she had some sort of similar image in her head, or maybe derren fucked up and she was the wrong person for it ><

  • The piece of paper was just a brown mush that you could mould into any shape you wanted and he completely ignored huge patches of it to make the shape of the bear

  • omg! before hearing what the the vizualisation was, I allready heard her say bear over and over again

  • I was thinking of a horse. LMAO

  • Haha! Showed that teacher bitch what was up!

  • omfg, i wonder how much time he took to right that story ....

  • Hey everyone it's called subliminal messages.....

  • how???!

  • I could see a bear but a bit differently than it was circled.. I don't know if it's accurate. Still, the fact that he knew that she thought about the bear was amazing. I guess it was in the word "unbearable".

  • its in the word ubearable and the letters that are different or bigger spell it out and its in the cross section

  • omfg hes good !!!

  • no that only means we are biological robots

  • u can imagine lots of thing of that paint . its like a cloud .

  • i agree it depends on wats in ur mind

  • Yeah he did. They're psychic! lol

  • MAKING A BEAR

  • HE DIDNT EXPLAIN THE KIDS

  • @DDDsquad under-WEAR

lol i dunno but picture was pretty off anyway

  • @lygohpile u r never gonna reach his possibilities so rip off.sop spamming u r pathetic

  • or he did this with a handfull of teachers and this was the one that coincidentally actually thought of a teddy bear.

  • @lygophile i hate how people have downed your comment because they don't like it

of course its a possibility that he did it like that

  • everyone commenting below me is a goddman fucking moron

  • whats that song in the first few seconds!!!

  • @gabiijute

I recognized it, this song is from DJ Sakin and Friends album, I don't know the title, but the Braveheart song is on that album also. And this song is also on this album.

  • @Zafir001 Nope it wasnt

  • This just makes me wonder about how many ways the government are using this sort of stuff on us.

  • yea

  • if you are an american, basically every speech put out by Obama during the election campaign did stuff like this, but a bit more complex.

  • Well, that wouldn't surprise me. I wonder if Derren can spot it when other people are using these techniques, ie when the government uses it and stuff

  • I wouldn't try to lie to him neither... ^^

  • i read obama's speech as a resource during my exams - man i wanted to be an american!

  • @morthim Not only during the camaign. If you want a great subliminal message resource, get an abo of his "weekly address" video-podcast. Most of these videos are really well done - not only the speeches, but the setting and his gestures too.

  • @frankovich213 all the time I'm sure----just because youre paranoid doesnt mean they arent really out to get ya!!!

  • @frankovich213

    or advertising

  • @frankovich213 the goverment? They dont give a fuck about you when will people understand that "THE GOVERMENT " doesnt exist, and no one in goverment there gives a fuck about what you do. You could die bleeding on a ground and no one in the goverment would care about that.

  • @mjufpn You obviously didn't understand my comment.

  • @frankovich213 all the damned time. thumbs up.

  • @frankovich213 do you watch t.v or walk through places of commerce such as malls? no, as a matter of fact, do you open your eyelids and go out side everyday? if so then you already see how the government is using this stuff on us,, everywhere lol

  • Wait, did he just call his niece's story rubbish on TV?

  • that girl was like : "you just blew my fucking mind!"

  • The image was pretty vague but man everything else is amazing!

  • I thought of a vicious bear.

And then a bear of the pedo variety.

  • Haha, I thought of bear too.

  • it is certainly cool, but I think the paint with the children was overkill. Derren watched the painting and tried to find a bear in it, then drew a bear shape that the teacher would recognize.

  • pedo bear?

  • @Madfoot713 lol

  • @Madfoot713 whats pedo bear

  • "de" end? ...

  • that was the whole point of phsychology..... she imagines something that isnt there....

  • What about the underWEAR - could have been a hint too

  • yep, underwear when its off leaves you bear, and its unbearable, and biggest relates to the size of the animal. lots of little tidbits in there. even the word beak is close to "bear" in terms of the spelling (not sure how old the kids are but they should know how to spell both words)

  • Doesn't matter. Derren knew regardless it was a bear because that's how he set up the entire trick.

His success was the fact that he put the bear in her head through the story.

  • But she agreed that the picture Derren drew was in her head.

If she wasn't thinking of it and the picture and the painting matched, then it wouldn't matter.

  • lol what a stretch

  • I was tryin to figure that out, cause i didn't understand where she pictured the bear so easily. thanks

  • Meanwhile, she was really thinking "what's for lunch?"

  • LOL

  • call me

  • who the fuck cares...

  • be here...sounds like bear....derrin says behave.........the story then unfolds....unbearable.....unbearable agian...just plain old suggestion?

  • yeah, suggestion is a BIG thing of pysch stuff. i think there's a video explaining one of derren's tricks that elaborates on that.

  • ive debuct several of derrens videos...and find ....if you look at the speach ...he says the word bear and she repeats in twice ...bear....in the reading...you might have to view is a couple of times...i was waiting ...and i got it in 2 repeats

  • The painting could have been a number of things, but she "wanted" to see a bear so she did.

It's like when people see the VIRGIN MARY in there toast.

  • subliminal messages, fucking sweet

  • What about the kids! How could they form an image teddy bear-like? Every child must have had an own image to draw right! So how come they concluded into a kind of teddy bear image? Hmmm Interesting

  • They didn't, it was just a bunch of paint. You can make that into any number of things...haven't you ever been bored and stared at the floor or wall, making odd shapes with the designs that are there? Same shit, really.

And although what Brown does is pretty cool, that lady was so unimpressed. I wanted to punch her for not ACTING impressed.

  • bull, if u draw scribbles u can point out lots of things in the drawing so he pointed out a teddy bear he couldve easily pointed out anything else

  • to be honest, i actually first thought the kids painting was one of underpants, not a teddy bear. The painting thing wasn't that impressive. And this lady wasn't that impressed by Brown. One of his few subjects that respond "eh.. whatevs" to what he does.

Most other people he does these mind tricks to are a lot more impressed.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, for most of them lose their valuables.

  • shit i was thinkign of a army tank

  • The EXPLINATION for the kids painting is the placement of the pans of paint.

Since the pans of paint are placed in the corners of the paper, the kids had to reach for the paint thus making a "X" figure on the paper.

Plus Darren actually points out where the "teddy bear" is on the paper and that it takes a "leap of faith" to see it.

He made the kids draw something that resembled a teddy bear just as he made the teacher think of it.

    But still, it's pretty cool.

  • well, thats like the only way this could be possible, by MAKING them do it either directly or indirectly

  • Yes, I know there are already many comments about this but if you know the name of the song that starts at 0:03, PLEASE POST IT!

  • I thought of the bear pokemon upon first glance at the paper, although I had no idea what it read?..

  • I am so sick of Darren Brown taking over stumble :P

  • which show specific? and what happened?

  • good that he did. :)

  • her mind was bombed with "teddybear".. xDDDDD

  • i still dont get it, how did the children draw a general shape of a teddybear then?...

  • lol at 7:50 his chuckle sounds like a mad scientist cackling at his newest creation

  • what school was that???

  • Well if you're looking for tarot, I have a link on my channel but I don't do "straight psychic" readings. I always use tarot with other secondary abilities. There's a lot of info about psychic traits out there. I encourage you to read up about it if you're interested.

  • kids are more apt to things like this. their minds are young and not yet blocking things as much adults not saying adults cant do things like this just saying. plus at 3:20 ED is much bigger

  • then how did the kids make a teddy bear without looking at the poem

  • as a word of wisdom, all major cable broadcasts on t.v. do this sort of thing to each and everyone of you. they're called subliminal messeges. and it is real.

  • From 1:53 to 1:58 his hands are forming a big circle with 2 big ears...

  • whoa nice!

  • FUCKIN GENIOUS MAN!

  • Is there a name for mind tricks like this?

I like to know more about fooling around with text messages.

  • Coverthypnosis

    and NLp

    XD

  • To learn embedding text-messages, practice one-line manipulating ambiguities, than work up to paragraphs.

First, write out what you want the reader to do, or react.

Second, write out a script that paces your "readers" enviroment/surroundings.

    Third embed your ambiguity suggestions.

Fourth, read the whole thing in the same tonality, speed, and accent, to find its irrelevancies or distinguished boo-boos(mistakes)!!

  • 7:51

    I lol'd at Derren's weird "EHHHE"

  • It's beyond nlp. The kids worked in mind-synch being projected by the teachers clear thoughts, without the EGO or CONSCIOUSNESS interrupting the thought.

Secret: basically that's how we project our thoughts.

This was also being input via the subconscious, thru the embedded commands. Derren Brown was hitting it on both levels simutaneosly. AWESOME!!

  • Although a freat psychologist, look back at the picture, it could be interpreted as a beak of a duck, excluding parts (as he does). Although a great ivd the ending analysis is to subject and Rosarch like

  • Derren is so adorable with children. Brilliant!

  • ur thinking he would be a good father for ur children.

  • Haha uhm probably? Shame that will never happen though!

  • he doesnt have "phsycic" abilities he uses nlp

  • he knows that, and admits it too

  • i know i was just saying..

  • freaky

  • I was thinking Duck-Billed Platypus

  • did he make em laugh to open their brains up?

  • Its all about establishing a sense of familiarity. When he made them laugh they immediately became much more receptive to everything he said. So in essence yeah thats what he was doing.

  • Great video!

I love how he only gave the kids brown paint... it was either the bear or a horse.

  • Damn pedo bears...always poppin up.

  • All the "teddy bear" at the begining, ending, center and diagonal has nothing to do with her prediction. The pictures on the top definitely have had some influence and the way he talked to her while asking her to imagine effects her imagination

  • OH GOD IT'S PEDO BEAR.

  • lmao

  • hahahahahahaha

  • he tricked the teacher, teddy bear must have been pretty subliminal. on the other hand the children were just drawing a random man figure, which they probably see a lot. he stopped the children when he got what he wanted and played the teacher.

  • ... i was thinking of a horse.. epic fail

  • On your part or Derrens? :)

  • I would SLAP the children.

"Listen and be quiet while your teacher reads."

BLAH BLAH BLAH HAAA HAAA *shriek*
