now THATS what i call circuit bending, this ioine has very many unique sounds, and while i absolutly haaaate techno,, this one is able to play music,, i mean this would be an awesome addtition, to making your own ammature sci fi movies, this would be for kick ass sound effects, great job man, and keep posting, can you tell me how you made this and what components you used ?
i found the toy at a thrift shop (salvation army) and messed around in it with aligator clips for a couple of weeks. as i found conections that sounded neat (like the additional drum parts) i added a switch/button. I also added a few potentiometers instead of switches to a few choice points on the small internal amp that's standard on small toys like this. thanks for the kind words! hope i make stuff this cool in the future. right now though my interests lie elsewhere...
Nice vid. Electric music is here to stay. If u like glitch and experimental electronic music and film, check out my vids and tell me what u think, all help is appreciated.
this is pretty sweet i just bought one of these like two days ago for 99 cents i cant wait to bend it. its like 3rd in line right now but this is pretty sweet
I added buttons to change the drum patterns on the fly...
potentiometers to control volume, overdrive the amp, and slow down the clock... and a few more switches for distortions and effects. everything is internal and i used only what is in the toy originally (the classic circuit bending technique of just bridging various components together)
sweet!
