I didn't feel like this trailer did justice to The Outsiders. It doesn't do a good enough job of evoking the grittiness of life on the streets in Tulsa, of letting you feel what they felt, which was the freedom and terror of being young and out of control. It was too touching.
By the way, I run a site called Trailercuts, and we're always looking for people to submit trailer recuts and mashups. Please let your friends in your class know about it, too!
@earnestrp I really, really, appreciate your honest feedback and I completely understand where you're coming from. I believe there is a great sense of male vulnerability in the story and film that I wanted to focus on trying evoke to the viewers. This was my first attempt, so I am constantly learning!
