  • Did anyone else notice that there is the same chord progression as in Wither's chorus 5:20 ?

Okay that's a bit nerdy, but it was nice to discover it :P

  • i can tstop thinking he wears a wig

  • 0 people have.... wait, no dislikes?!?!?

  • tata ta ta tatatatata :D

  • "Definitely sumthin they didn't teach me @ juliard but something you just learn along the way." lmao i'm sure....

  • i have learned so much from jordan he is my musical inspiration as a keyboard player

  • i bought this movie. it was amazing. i learned allot of new tips and exercises. but now i am looking for another movie anyone got any good piano movies in their minds ?

  • I'm surprised on how many views there are...

This guy is so musically talented.

A lot of musicians today would benefit from this...

  • I had a lot of fun clapping with Jordan, haha,

  • I must admit I never tried using an scale as the bass and the blues scale as a cleff...

  • I find it humorous how at 6:33 he says "its very plane sounding" when most people (including me) would kill for that talent. I feel as if I could do that but I'd certainly need to practice that.

  • even what he considers very plain sound is way hotter than the average kat..incoporating the rel min blues scale took it 2 anotha level thoe!

  • the suggestions about rythym are really helpful. thanks

  • The thing is, these are good basics, but Jordan Rudess is inherently on a musical level 10 times above us all, so when he is explaining these sort of things, he looks at them like extremely basic building blocks when they aren't really. Many professional musicians struggle with this.

  • I very much agree with you. He has mastered all of these things, where perhaps 80% of people who play piano or keyboard have not. I am definitely one of those 80%.

  • @Rossgood i agree with you a lot. It almost makes me look like a complete nothing when i see jordan rudess play these things in such an easy looking way. I think your point helps a lot in building self coonfidance.

  • ta-ta-taa-tatatatata! i love it^^

  • I love the way he can't help putting those little flourishes after his examples, like at 4:06 :P

  • @twitty666 Just his way of saying "remember kids, you'll never be this good as long as you live"

  • Really useful exercise, I found that it really helped me count. It just takes practice, right now I try to count well everything I can and I must say I feel more secure about my rhythm. Thanx Jordan =)

  • one, two, three, one two three, one trhee fouur five, one three four five sixs sevn,, one two thre!!

  • haha "That'll really help you play...alot"-4:36

  • That whole clapping deal is way harder than it sounds. I can't do anything with my voice while playing.

  • This has to be the best keyboardist I've ever heard. Not only can he play technically challenging stuff, he makes it sound like sex on the ears. This video has helped my playing so much.

  • Speaking of sex on the ears, in Liquid Tension Experiment : Freedom of Speech is sex on the ears really!

  • ta ta ta tatatata...10 min ago I coudn't clap one time with one two three *lol* good exercise 5stars

  • HAHAH i mastered the clap back :P

  • i am looking for pdf of this video. any suggestions?

  • phrases

  • the "slippery thing" is called a grace note

  • thats def's not something you learn at julliard

i remember when i was a kid i did that at piano lessons and my teacher would freak :P

  • i thought it was an acciaccatura?

  • this is difficult stuff! =D lol

  • Great Videos! Thanks for upload!
