  • You need to change your lighting for the shadows.

  • good idea but i didnt understand shit until i saw the demo :D

  • Wow I never knew this.. It does look as if off the ground. Great vid.

  • The only problem is the shadows.

  • I didn't really get what to do at first till u saw those finished vids at the end. Can you check a couple of my stop motion vids out and tell me what I could do better? I got bored when I made mine and didn't have a tripod so they kinda suck but I'm making more

  • cool

  • Hey! that was cool u r very good at stop motion! i like your movies and i wanted to know if u might like mine PLEASE check out my channel and send me a comment on what u think! please sub i subed u

  • That's was pretty awesome. It took me a second to realize everything was still on the ground haaha

  • great technique. I wasn't so sure about it at first, but your examples are very convincing! (^_^)

  • thanks for the vid!

  • WHO IS DA MINGERS BALLSACK

  • I dont get it!

  • this helped me out SOOO much thanks

  • I'm sorry what was your name? lucy or samantha. lol jks, nice vidos

  • pretty sweet :)

  • and then and then and then can you talk better mutha fuka!?

  • thats nice but if you guys want a different angel use photoshope or bafran and if i can get subscribers to request this tutorial ill show u how to mask images.

  • @shadowworrier321 Pretty much everyone knows this method, including me, even at the time of making the video. But that method takes minutes per frame, and when you get into thousands of frames it can be annoying. also changes in environment or light between slate frame and the frame you are masking can make the flying look really bad. If you want to use both methods you can as well., just mask out shadows. Also, it is frowned upon to ask for subs, pretty desperate, just make good videos.

  • @upperlevelthegreat true but for brickfils or things like deadzilla you need to mask some images to make it look proffesional. and most begginers dont know how difficult the techniqe is so if they want to know a eisier way and still look good i can post a vid for a subscriber that requests it

  • @shadowworrier321 Seriously, man, if you care about helping people, then quit asking for subs. Just post this amazing method (which has been posted many times before) and if it is truly good enough, you will get subs (which are important to you for some reason?).

  • @upperlevelthegreat i know the method has been posted alot of times but i have i more proffesional method. the reason why subs r important to me is because if i just post the method people that r not subscribed dont know about it. i found you vid by luck i saw it at least after watching 10 stop motion vids. ill only post sometime(rearly) what the people want because they r the judges of your work and effort. so do i have a point? =-)

  • @shadowworrier321 Man, you don't have a point, they don't need to be fucking subs to tell you what they want. Get hell out of here. GO beg for subs on someone else's vids

  • @upperlevelthegreat you know what lets not fuck about this i dont really give a shit anymore thanks for some of the advice and nice vid 5 stars

  • @upperlevelthegreat sorry for begin for subs on yo vid. i give this tutorial 5 stars. thanx for the advice. hope were cool

  • @shadowworrier321 The only person who matters when you're making videos is you. If you have to sell out to get an audience then you're in the wrong game.

  • @heylookitsnate yeah ok i know this i dont remember writing all this shit about subs but i know the most important thing is me trying to make something i enjoy. please people stop commenting on my coments. oh and i got 4 or 3 subs by posting a comment saying i would make halo 3 tutorials and my sideswipe test.

  • Dude you sound like a girl and r you crying, beside all that, the stopmotion looks good

  • omg, genius

  • nice job dude it really helps!

  • Of course it WONT look like its flying because the shadow is touching the object. when something is flying the shadow is not touching the object. Another thing is if the object jumps and the camera is above, the object needs to get a big bigger... by putting it arther away from the camera it just gets smaller. Im not hating on ur video im just pointing out the reason for why it wont work/wont look proffessional.

  • lol it look really...real

  • tanks man!

it will help me a lot!!!!!!!

but... how many fps (frames per second) u did in this one???

  • tanks man!

it will help me a lot!!!!!!!

  • at first i didnt think it would work. but it looked guite cool

  • i cann get this

  • brilliant thankyou.....

    made complete sense :)

  • Really!!!! Thanks!! I lov you! Now I can make them throwing something!!!

  • Wow! Ive always wondered how to do that and the finished clip is really good. I'm actually working on a stop motion animationseries called Mashed In The Trash and I'll upload some videos of that for u guys to watch.

  • THATS AWESOME thanks!

  • wow cool!

  • very smooth...nice tut.

  • very cool :)

  • awsome

  • heey great job with this :D

  • THATS SO SMART THANK YOU

  • Wow, this is great. You'd really have to pay attention to where the item should fly through from the cameras perspective, and place it in just the right place on the ground. You've done wonderfully with it. Thanks for the help!

  • Wow!!!

  • r u a boy or a girl?

  • You my friend, are a legend. Great tut.

  • what program are you using anyway? :o...stop motion pro?

  • i hate the new youtube bar tyhing if you dont have it yet be warned

  • AWSESOME

  • how do you upload them to youtube ? mine just has a gimp error, it says permission denied can you help me?

  • SWEEEEEEEEET!

  • it looks nothing like its in the air.

  • Thats amazing

  • Wow!

    Good job!

  • thank you soooo much!!!!! ive been waiting to find this out of ages!!!!!!!! also i love the vid its funny xD

  • hey thanks for the tut but i was just wonderin- i dont have much money but will i be able to make claymation with just an attached camcorder on my laptop???

  • thanks.that helped alot. i got it at the end while showing the vids.

  • thanx for da lesson

  • that looks pretty good you can only see that your just moving it up on the stage if its slow motion

  • @fwcprodutions Yes, and that is why I showed the slow motion part. In regular 15-30 fps you don't actually notice it though. This technique is sort of obsolete though if you have smp v7 because of the simple rig removal.

  • @upperlevelthegreat I'm getting smp v7! Any ways the way i do it, is have it go along the wall.... So if two clay guys are throwing a ball back and fourth as soon as it's out of clay's hand, It "Fly's" along the wall.

  • @upperlevelthegreat can also see the object shades in slowmo :)

  • Cool, you can't see it if you did'nt know how this was done! I'm going to use this! Thank you!!!

  • epic man! your good at doing this, ps thanx!

  • hehe cool man

  • Really GREAT!

  • Nice,Tx!!

  • 5/5 for flying pin lol

  • Thanks for the help

  • Cool I'll use it for my films thanks fir the help

  • Thanks Man, Your Stop Motion was pretty awesome aswell

  • your an idiot

  • are you done with youtube for good or only done making videos

  • @mrfavian23 I am not done either of them. I have actually been working on a big project for about a year now. Keep tuned and I hope you like it. I will relaese in a couple months and will release the making of it in a few weeks. SUB FOR UPDATES.

  • @upperlevelthegreat ok thanks for the update

  • nice but how did you make your clayman throw the ball in the air and catch it again?

  • umm this is a boy?

    whatever...

    niCE

  • @WeirdThingsOnEarth kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk a boy!!! yesss

  • Nice one. The only problem is the shadow. Because when something's flying for real, you can see its shadow somewhere on the ground. With your methode the object covers its shadow and it doesn't quite look like its flying.

  • nice things at the end!

  • THANK YOU! i need to know how to do this!

  • if you dont mind what software do you use???

  • cool....but u sound kinda weird

  • @JerichoS96 Correction - sounded weird. I made this video a year before I uploaded it, so it is almost 3 years ago. I'm 16 now and no longer sound like this.

  • @JerichoS96 it's some scary thing called "PUBERTY!", You see, Ur body changes and your voice sounds like a girl sometimes. YOu also notice ummm...girls...*cough*. You'll get in when ur older.

  • @Uzianium I made this three years ago.

  • Nice man! but u sound like ur crying 0.o

  • Dude!! Fucking cool!.

    Mind trick!

  • awesome!!!

  • wow i dint think that would look so smoothe but it did! good work and thanks!

  • That is cool I'm gonna try check out my claymation vids

  • no way, i was so confused hahahah u got me.

    nifty little trik

  • Ist das da unten rechts im Bild ein Nippel?^^

  • that was so cool

  • wow, that is the easiest way to do it I've seen, I honestly thought it was gonna be shit when you was explaining it but that is quality!

  • Very impressive when you was explaining it I thought thats rubbish but the end product is amazing you can only noticed it if you keep pausing it as it plays, nice trick

  • Thanks! That was helpful. : )

  • upperlevelthegreat??? arent chu the guy in mamshmam's forum?

  • This video was one I uploaded the day I joined that forum.

  • or you could get stop motion pro and be able to erase all supports and stuff.

  • I have the new version, and yes i use that now instead but if you look this video is older and I actually made it 3 years ago (explaining the voice).

  • lol i paused it while it was being throw then it was in the ground!

  • what fps do u shoot at?

  • for me...17..

  • 30fps

  • thats prettty fast

  • duuuude i thought this was gonna be something crappy but its like so freaking awesomme! THX ALOT!

  • wait I dun actually get it. How could the object stick on the stage can fly?

  • Did you watch the finished products at the end?

  • yes but I dun understand

  • Well then it sounds like you are just going to have to try it to get it.

  • I tried but it doesn't look right is like moving on the ground not above

  • What fps are you using? FYI: FPS=Frames per second. AMybe it is too slow to see the effect, try speeding it up. You should be going at least 15 fps for this to work. I use 30.

  • really good job! this helped me out so much!

  • thnx this helped alot!

  • that is so cool. I don't know how you figured that out, but that is sure how to use an allusion to your advantage.

  • awsome

  • wow that looks so cool u dont notice it until slow mo

  • at first I was confused and then I noticed it. It is really hard to notice. Very good trick

  • great vid dude

  • Nice,It's like you're tricking the viewers that the object is flying

  • thanks !!! you are awesome !

  • When you were talking about it and showing how you did things, i didn't think it was going to be very effective. But your end product runs very smoothly and nicely, im pressed good job. I'd like to see some videos with more detailed characters!

  • your right I thought the same thing

  • dude thank you that helps so much...

  • Awesome work!!!

  • Great effect. The camera angle you use is important for your effect and works well.

    5*

  • thanks 5*'s

  • oomg thanks so much :D

    great technique

but you hav to get the right angle wich could be hard :S

  • Thank you for this vid.

  • that is cool

  • Awesome..

    You helped me so much..

  • in a nut shell u have none

  • your voice makes me want to kill myself...

  • fuck off

  • nice job, it really does look like it's flying

  • better than my attempt with strings. But there are no shadows

  • wow never thought bout this.

    5 stars mate.

  • this actually takes practice its harder than is seems

  • well. ithas to be with something moving fast.

at first i thought this was bullshit because its not using an editing software but i like it. haha nice creative way to avoid work

  • nice movements. I liked how at 3:30, the character who threw the ball moves his hand back. It makes it seem more real.

  • wow at first i thought it looked like it wouldnt work but it turned out nice. Thanx!

  • It really looked like it was flying. It would've fooled someone who didn't watch this tutorial. Nice job.

  • that also works. I know another way.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!! i thought u needed to like have photoshop or whatever and then erase supports or something like that! that was really kool!

  • that's one way to do it.

    This way's easier.

  • yeah it is but can you do this on paint?

  • for this one, you don't need paint.

  • Awsome!

  • great

  • thanks!

  • SWEET!!

  • very helpful. Thnx!

  • Nice!

  • nice, this was pretty helpful

  • wow, tbh i didnt think that it was that good a tutorial and im sure alot of people will agree with me there, but the finnished product looks awesome, im gonna try it straight, i have thaught of trying this b4, but i didnt see how it could work, but now after seing ur finnished product im gonna try it XD, i just think that if u are gonna try making another tutorial i think that u should plan it out more tho, XD

  • I TOTALLY AGREE

  • lol

  • lol the ball i really thought went into the air nice job

  • thnks

  • Ok, well just for that Im deleteing all.

  • Dunno if I really like "me-amation" I think my new account will be called "pwnagestudios" and I will use the vonage theme tune and instead say pwnage.

  • he moves up, but wat about the shadow? its still on the floor

  • Well its the same as the fact that he gets smaller, its so unnoticable when you play it back at full speed that it doesn't matter.

  • nice job 8)

watch my claymations if you'd like

  • Will definitely take a look!

  • that was so bgood byou should do a bloger and call it me amition i will go on it

  • Ok, will take that into consideration

  • wow at first i thought it wouldn't work but it did nice vid great work

  • Swagbucks is not letting me get in because I keep getting the Enter Word thing wrong. What do I do?

  • thanks.:)

  • Wow, when you were explaning it I thought no way this is so stupid why am I watching this, but when I saw the Video... Wow

  • When I saw it at a normal speed, i was like," WHOOOOA!!! HOW THW F--K DID YOU DO THAT?!!! But as it slows down, I still don't know. So I play your tutorial video again and as the little guy about to throw the ball, I pause at the middle throw and notice that the ball is still on the ground, like you said. Very clever on the eye-trickery. You sir have saved my life. Your a genius.

  • Thank you, the best praise you can give me is to show this to all of your animating friends.

  • Well I'm definately going to do that! The ball throw into the air was definately the best as it honestly looked very professional. You are one of the most talented animators I have ever had the pleasure of watching their videos. Well done, and keep animating!

  • but how did you make the ball bounce from his hand on 3:33?

  • I stuck it on his chest, and when it got higher, I stuck it on the ground way behind him...

  • this is very cool. while watching i thought it would not be very good but its GREAT. also tip. when talking about it, dont go on and on. cause i got really bored and just fast forwarded it to the end

  • i have a built in webcam so how should i angle my laptop?
