No, this is on XBLA and it's called Geometry Wars Evolved. The one you're talking about is called Geometry Wars Retro. Retro is much easier than Evolved. I can play forever without using bombs on Retro. Evolved is much harder. Your bombs and lives max out at 9 as well.

the difficulty pretty much hits its max at 3 million, after that its about consistency. anyways, by the time i get to a 2.5 million i've had enough, that's kind of what I meant.

No, the difficulty hits max at around 5 or 6 million if you do well. I never hit max difficulty as early as 3 million. It'll always be at least 4 million+ before max difficulty and then being consistent at max difficulty is where the real challenge is. I wouldn't have played to 400 million if it was just about patience like Geometry Wars Retro is. Even people with scores of 20 or 30 million are no where near consistent enough to reach 400 million.

The game hits max difficulty anywhere between 2 million and 6 million (depending on how well you do at the start). From there, it's all about consistency and just trying to not lose concentration!

I took roughly 30 hours to get my highscore.

I don't mind that KT420 has a higher score. He worked hard for his score and went on many highscore runs to get 500 million so he deserves to be #1. I've only had 2 major highscore runs (206 million then 407 million) and I'm #2 so I'm happy with that.

My gamerscore is 55K but I don't care about gamerscore, I just like to complete my games to 100%.

Geometry Wars Evolved on the Xbox 360 is by far the best version of Geometry Wars in my opinion. It's the only one I like and I like it a lot. The controls on the Wii are horrible.

Well I only used to complete arcade games cause they're usually skill based and more rewarding to complete than retail games are but then I started completing retail games I enjoy as well, like Mass Effect, Bioshock and stuff. Then I just started getting obsessed with completing everything and it's taking over!! Achievements are strange, I used to have no interest in them but now I can't help but go for them in every game I play whether I like the game or not...

The reason that it looks like it's going off of the screen is do to the low resolution of the video. When you get near the boundaries it will show a white line to represent the box that is your boundaries. The blue grid ends at these boundaries and it transitions to just the background of stars and black space. You can't see the stars to help show that it's the background because the resolution is too low and the lights are off making it harder to see where the background ends and the TV begins.
