Nicely done. Thinking of getting one of these. Mini version seems to sound good. I have a KP3 atm, but it won't fit onto my effects board. Anyone know if the mini version has auto bpm? It says it does on korg site but is not mentioned in online manual.

The red one is an effects processor (so it doesn't produce sound, only effects it), the yellow one is a synth.

I've got the limited edition pink kaossilator and its extremely fun but the combination of the two sounds fantastic. Would you recomend getting the mini kp as well just for the sheer fun of it?

Thanks very much. The pink Kaossilator reigns supreme. It really looks great. I would definitely recommend the Mini-KP. It's a great piece of kit for the price, and looks great next to the Kaossilator. With those two, you can fit a DJ booth in your pocket man. :D

So comparing the Koassilator and the Mini Pad, the Koassilator is for loops and sounds, where as the Mini will only allow you to make changes to sounds running to it?

That's correct, although the Mini-KP does have about 10 extremely basic synth sounds built in. They aren't really useable though.

To be honest, it depends on what you need. The Kaossilator is a great device for creating loops and sounds whereas the Mini-KP is an effects processor (and a pretty good one for the price). They're completely different tools, but excellent when used together.

Which arpeggiator are you using at the beginning?

I'm not using an arpeggiator. It's actually just a beat that I recorded a few seconds earlier. Hope this helps. The patch is No. 80 I think.
