back in 1965 my father had one of these with the 361 2bbl. It didn' take too long for him to rip that 361 out and put in a 413 with 2-4's and a matching cam. That car was so fun to ride in.........I remember asking my dad to spin the wheels.
I am a big chrysler buff and I think this is the most ugly car they ever produced. By 1960 no other cars had fins.....chryslers looked like someone wearing brown shoes with a black tuxedo
My dad bought a 1960 Plymouth new, and my mother disliked it because the large fins constantly would catch her attention in her peripheral vision, and would look like another car was way too close to us. When we moved in June 1961, we sold it and left it behind in Boston.
The song refers to the Unit-Body construction used in all Mopar products (except the Imperial) starting in 1960. The cars were definitely tighter and more rattle-free than any other cars made during this era.
This is a pretty good advert! It's a simple, catchy, relaxing, low-tech, low-concept, "ordinary" 90-second music video about a 1960 Plymouth's drive to a lake. People would actually enjoy this ad.
