  • I dont understand why these non black folk are so concerned about our hair. I feel like when it comes to black women everybody in are busines about are skin, hair and everything and i'm like what is going on.

  • I fully understand what you mean sometimes I dread going to work because I dont want to deal with all these ignorant ass questions that have nothing to do with the price of tea in china its embarrasing and i dont like the attention...

  • It irks me just a little when people ask me that, because they assume that all black women wear wigs/weaves. I've never worn a wig, braids, or a weave and I never will; I have too many friends with major hair loss, receding hair lines because of weaves and braids. I have more than enough hair, and I love my own hair.

  • Ugh...I know exactly how you feel! I even have a Mexican friend who stays touching my hair without permission and rubbing it like I'm a dog. She's about to get judo chopped the next time her hands even approach my head because I'm not a damn animal to be playing in my hair like that.

  • "Can I touch it?" lmao i deal with the same thing at my job because it's short one min and long the next then maybe shoulder length depending on my mood. I hate the "Is it yours" bs. Like a black person couldn't possibly have long hair. I had long hair but I cut it when I graduated. I grow and cut it, grow it and cut it, just depends on how I'm feel'n. I wear wigs/weave for style variation. Anyway long story short lol I'm feel'n you on that! ppl need to stay in there place...out ya biz! lol

  • lol i say "it's mines, i bought it" simple

  • My mother-in-law always asks that..pisses me the f off, my response is does it matter??

  • I think almost every black person who has been around alot of cacasian people has AT LEAST once before gotten the "can I touch your hair" think lol this lady asked could she touch it for a dollar when I was 15 lmao (i took it though) im 17 now but still..

  • lmaooo so true! I couldn't stop laughing even though I know u were serious. Now I know how to respond if someone ask if this is my hair ;-)

  • Here's a list of questions you never ask people:

    "Is that your hair?"

    "When are you due?"

    "How old are you?"

"Why don't you have any kids/"(to one or both of a couple who has been married a long time and/or is older and are childless.

These questions are surely to lead to embarrassment to one or all parties involved. If they deign to even give you an answer, it won't' change your life in any way, so why ask?

  • @firmingitup omg a woman touched me and asked if i was due, and in response to touching hair a white lady asked me for some of my braids out my hair and an old school classmate touched my hair when it was braided and said ooo its not greasy like other blacks hair i was jtfo

  • @spuffygurl4eva Wow, what a bunch of classless people :-(

  • white girl here. i wear hair extensions on a day to day basis and get asked this question all the time, mostly by women of course. I work in customer service and I can honestly say that i get asked weekly if my hair, boobs and eyelashes are fake. Its really irritating and because I know they are asking because they want to put me down.

  • If they aren't being rude and asking to inquire, then why give them a rude answer back? "If that your hair?" back to them is kinda rude and unnecessary. However I do asking that question to begin with is tacky.. Fake, real or whatever, if you can't decipher, then appreciate and compliment if you choose! I find jealous women want it to be fake and have the audacity to ask...

  • Lol whenever someone asks me "Is that your hair?" I tell them yeah..I figure if they can't tell if it's not real they dont' need to know!

  • this is ma hair i bought it! lol

  • Disrespectful, LOL

  • I get that alot from people that don't know me. Those that already know me know that I've grown my hair to past arm pit length. I just don't like when people don't believe when you say it is your hair and wanna check it. Now that's disespectful!

  • i get the questions all the time and i say yes this is my hair and HELL no you can not touch it i dont even let my man touch my hair even if he paid for it

  • LMAO...THAT'S A SIN FOR APPROACHING ME..THAT'S A SIN RIGHT THERE..LAWD HAM MERCY..girl too funny....

  • HOW CAN I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! YOU BETTER PREACH

  • Amen! They never bother to ask the non pigmented women with their extensions if it's their hair. I always get people that just say woo I like your hair. I have never had someone ask me if it's mine. I once had a doctor that was so into MY hair, she could not stop staring.

  • @jade36gmail AMEN TO THAT...so true...so true.....

  • I hate that question....men now have the audacity to ask that too. It's rude. Why do you need to know if the hair belongs to someone or not? Tell em they look nice and roll on.

  • My friend asked me right infront of my crush "Is it yours?like your hair,or is it a weave or extensions?" I was so panicking cause i didn't want him to know just yet but yeah i told her it was extensions and left it at that, i'm still mourning about it though

  • If the curly wigs are for the summer, which wigs do you wear for the fall and winter?

    by remimartin

  • As a person who wears weaves I get this a lot, but like you said there's a polite way to go about it. Like I've had girls ask me how my hair is styled, or if its my natural hair and I find nothing wrong with that. Don't give me the stank eye then ask if its my hair or not. We're going to have a problem. But if you have a genuine interest in hair ,or my hair specifically, go ahead and ask.

  • you r soooooo right! lmbo if u paid for it its yours! i love you sooooooooooo much! you r real and straight fwd...and i respect u 100% DIVA :)

  • if its on your head its yours!

  • First time on your page. Love your personality, love your realness.

I wear a wig because I have alopecia. I don't get the "Is that your hair"?

What I hate is when someone is talking to you looking at your head. I want to say WTH are you looking at? I think it's so insensitive. Some people may have cancer, etc.,,,,,,you never know why someone is wearing weave, wigs or whatnot.

but I love my wigs and I love your page and a few other pages of tutorials on you tube.

  • I really enjoyed your message "is that your hair?" I haven't bought my first wig yet, but I am looking forward in doing so. My two cents would be that some people are so jealous that you are so diva (beautiful, rock star glamourous, etc) I believe

that some folk just don't get it, so they rudely ask that question,"is that your hair?". I'm over 40 years old so I won't ask another female stranger that question. Keep doing videos! I am a newbie on the youtube scene. Love ya.

  • hahahahahahahah....Muffinismylovers I think the chick @ the grocery store..just got OWNED!!! thumbs up if u agree (((:

  • I simply LOVE video and YOU--You tell it like it is.......!!!!! Glad i subscribed so i can keep up with you.....these women are something else, they know when they ask you whether it is or isn't your hair, they real question is where did you get it and how do you get it to look so real. Girl keep spitting that truth--love ya!!

  • lol you need to be a stand up comedian...this was too funny but it's the truth.. I mean who cares if its real hair or not... White people have been wearing hair weaves for years but i don't see them getting stoped in the grocery store.

  • I Get That Alot Since I Started Wearing Halwigs And Lace Fronts ANd Sometimes I Be Like Yeah And Sometimes No. The Part That Gets Disrespectful Is When They Start Getting All Close Wanting To Touch Your Hair, Ask You Wear You Got It, Who Did It, How Long Is Your Real Hair, Is Your Hair Thick, This, That, Who, Where, What , And How. At That Point I Just Walk Away Or Give Them That WTF Look

  • Well stop with all these damn stupid looking wigs weaves and extensions and you probably won't be so offended when someone asks "Is that your hair?" Ya'll kill me!

Bald one minute, hip length next minute and you have the NERVE to get offended when someone asks this question?! Give me an effin' break!!!!!!

If you are not ashamed of this fake crap you slap on your head then why does that question offend you? Do any of you get offended when someone asks where do get your shoes or outfits? Grow up

  • @lakeis3 Wow!! You Are Really Offended.

  • @lakeis3 and you stop with you padding, fake tits, booty pads and fake facial features and next time someone wont walk up to you and say "are those your REAL curves" lol

  • My response is "Are those your real titties??" I shut it down real quick!! And I think that it is rude question to ask ANYBODY anyway!! If someone's hair looks nice, tell them that and keep movin'!! I believe that some folks ask that because your hair can be looking TOO GOOD!!! It makes me upset because ignorant people don't believe that a black woman's hair ain't suppose to look a certain way, so we are questioned..question them white girls that rock wigs and weaves, too!!

  • @divinediva71 EXACTLY!!! They always show black women (like Beyonce) in magazines with wigs and weaves, but they NEVER talk about Jessica Simpson, who also rocks the SAME lace front wigs!!!! UGH!

  • @Apphia2731 FOR REAL!!!! And Brittany Spears, who shaved her hair off and two weeks later, she had a head full of hair, and folks truly believed that her hair grew back THAT QUICK!! A sista could not do that without 14,000 questions about her hair!!

  • I'm so mad that you (a) have that kinda time in the morning before work, and (b) can actually be pleasant in the morning before work. My hair and makeup only gets done on weekends. LOL! I can't do JACK in the morning before work. I don't iron, I don't comb hair, I don't do makeup - not even lip gloss... not a doggone thing. My routine is shower, brush teeth, put cocoa butter on, throw on any pair of slacks and any blouse, and RUN out the door. And here you are with enough time to make a video!

  • my response would be is that ur face!

  • i tell them itz HIB hair i bought

  • Girl I just started surfing wig reviews as I am new to wearing them and YOU CRACK ME UP!!!!! I hear you talk about your kids so much and I just saw the pics of them. They are soo cute. Keep doing the videos cause I am learning a lot from you. Now I just need to learn how to do post videos so I can join the family! Love Ya, keep it up!

  • i hate that too because people ask to be spitefull and to lower your self esteem because their miserable too smh!

  • but i lso hate it when you come up to the register, especially if there is a line, and the cahsier immediately says "I like your wig"......i still think its rude to automatically assume someone is wearing a wig, let alone shout it out in public...what do you all think about that? Should I just go along with it, and say 'thank you' or should I say somthing like "what are you talking about?"

  • Well I still don't like it when people stare so hard--especially if you are wearing a front lace wig--and they keep staring, straining their eyes...I'm like WTF are you looking at!! Do you need glasses or somn...I usually just turn my head actin like im tryna see what they looking at behind me...

  • i would say yes cause i bought it , i hate when they do that and worst that i live in a country that most of the people are white and they dont even ask for permission to diggin your i hateeeeeeeeeeeee that, by the way diva im from COSTA RICA AND I WATCH ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU AND EVERYTHING THAT YOU DOyou are so funny and fullof attitude got to love you, 15 days ago i just got to know about the quick weaves got them and im rocking them know cant live without them lol

  • I say is that your face? lol usually they gone by than lol

  • I say is that your face lol usually they gone by than lol

  • "OBVIOUSLY It must be mine...it's sitting on the top of my damn head..." lol

  • "U coulda been diggin in yo nose....diggin in yo ass....! LOL

  • I've always had long hair, tailbone lenght, and people aaalways come up to me asking, is that your real hair or do you have extencions? And I'll tell them, it's my own hair growing from my own scalp, and then they start feeling my hair looking for extencion clips. Kind of annoying, but afterwards the usually compliment me on my hair, saying it's so long and beautiful.

  • lol u r so fab

  • For all I know, you coulda been diggin in yo nose, diggin in yo ass...! Lmao

  • I say yes it is mine...

  • Lmao

April I love you :D Your TOO funny!

And i just say lol Damn my weave looks that good? lol obviously not fool! lol its all good weave or not it looks damn good :)

  • LOL...girl you are so crazy...Love it!!! I say the same thing!

  • listen, Diva you are speaking the truth people are so fake. today people cross to many boundaries. good for you.....stop these people in there tracks .....your a concious Diva......keep them on the straight....

  • i think us black girls should love who we are and laugh at all the ignorant sob in the world.

  • Hey Diva!! what number is that? 7031? looks very natural!

  • Hey Diva!! what number is that? 7031?

  • Hey girl...I mean if the girl in the grocery store said excuse me is that your hair....I mean maybe she didnt have the best approach and should have said hey how u doing first...LOL but still I sont think her approach was thaaaat bad. At least she didnt run up on you and say Ahh your weave is so mich can i touch it! LOL

But yes you look lovely as always.

  • how do you pleasantly ask them about that? someone asked me that the other day it blows me how black people cant take it that another black persons hair can be long

  • I just saw on "Millionaire Match Club" where when they interviewed a sister for a one of their mixers and asked her "is that your real hair?" She said "no", they then asked her to lift up her damn wig and show them her natural hair. And she did. That is soooo messed up. They didn't ask anyone else but her. = NOT COOL!

  • @redhawkfire = racist XD

  • @HP148409 yes it was very racist.

i wrote the show and expressed that concern..

  • omg you remind me so much of my cousin in jersey im from alabama and i love the accent you have and the way you commentate things!!!!!!!!!!!!! and omg i was at the super market and this black girl walked up and rubbed hand through my hair and was like what kind of hair is this i was working with a client so i couldnt go ham on her ass but a black girl should know fucking better!!!!

  • omg you remind me so much of my cousin in jersey im from alabama and i love the accent you have and the way you commentate things!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To funny I use to get that alot can I touch it..I would say no I'm not a science project....

  • I HATE when people touch my hair!!! I am like....why are u so damn curious?! I will tell people I have on a wig in a minute. I don't have any shame. It also depends on who asks, and how they ask.

  • omg. Mumsy is so big now.

  • I just dealt w/ that last night at work. This chick from housekeeping was like my lace front was not mine (I had on Freetress Equal Meagan) and she had on some cheap ass, ugly matted weave that looked like it was stapled to her head. I looked at her and told her my credit card receipt says its mine and you need to learn some manners and know your place. I hate to do that to subordinates, usually I never treat anyone like that but she pissed me off because she said it w/ so much hate in her.

  • @SPIRITofLOVE76 OMG I had something simliar said to me. I was just on break getting something to eat and this chick that was ringing me up asked me...is that real? I was like is WHAT real? She said my hair...I looked at her like she had lost her mind for asking me such a question...(actually the first thing that went off on my mind was: BITCH!) but anyway I said yeah its real.. you see it right? ::rolls my eyes:: Then she wanted to keep with the conversation too....Stupid >_>

  • LOL! We give them the same look out here in Malibu.!

They are a trip! thank you April!

  • I work with a bunch of white folks and I swear most of them didn't even know anything about wigs, weaves or anything. If I came in with my hair shoulder length one day and then the next day it was APL, they thought I just straightened out the curls and called it a day. Even when Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson rocked 'em the common white girl didn't know. Bottom line, I blame their newfound knowledge on Chris Rock's coon A-- "blowin' the whistle" on black women. For real!!! LOL!

  • if my black customers asks then i tell them. the sistas ask where i get my sew-in and i say no its a quickweave, and they are all amazed and i end up having a whole conversation. im one of the few sistas at my job, when my white coworkers ask, then i just say its extensions. the only thing i HATE about when white women ask me and is when they say "i wish i could wear weaves like black girls" . im like umm you never heard of jessica simpson or paris hilton? thats not their hair!

  • I'm all natural with a kinky fro about BSL and I've actually had people PULLING on my damn hair. I got kicked out of a store because I whooped this hoe's ASS for yanking on my damn hair WITH her child. A teen (about 15-16, my age at that time) AND her child yanking at my damn hair! >.<" I was like "Have you lost your damn mind?! Ask me, don't be putting your damn hands and your nasty lil brat's cheeswiz-covered hands in my damn hair!"

  • See, I'm the exact opposite. For my complexion, and features, people automatically assume that my hair is fake because of how thin it is. So people ask me, is that real, is your hair really that long, allll the dag on time. I want to try clip ins though. That's my next venture.

  • lol @bricksmama prefect answer !!! and ms diva april i love that wig you have on in this video what is the name and color of her i love it !!!!

  • Some women do it because the ignorant and they are just haters. Others do it because they don't no any better!! Either way, I tell them yes, and to kiss my ....ooopps...but you get my drift.

  • "Is that your hair?" I STILL GOT THE RECEIPT!!! "Can I touch it?" HELL TO THA NAW!!

  • you are so funny and i love your vidoes

  • April you kill it, I love you so much, ur so funny x

  • WHen I wear my wigs out people ask me where I get my hair done, but then they want to touch it and im like HELL NO

  • I very rarely wear wigs if at all and the ironic thing is I have been asked that question quite a few times about my own hair! I think it could be sometimes b'cos to them it looks fake or too good to be real(?) who knows. After I get over the confusion of the question most times it comes off being a positive experience though b'cos either they have naturally straight hair or are just curious how my hair became the way it is (cos I relax my hair).

  • i feel you what i put in my damn head is none of your business shit go take care of your ugly ass head i got hair longer than yours and you tripping cause i got on a wig when my real hair longer than yours bitch get a clue

  • Girl, you are sooooo funny!!! I am cracking up! As a matter of fact, what's the name of the one you have on now? It's really cute and your makeup is flawless!

  • We as black women have come a long way especially with our hair. You have to over look some people. Some women feel as if they have to cut another sista down to get information. I agree its how you do things. I love when another sista ask or compliment me on my hair, nail, jewelry etc. Because that passing the blessing. Someone had to hip me, and I share the love. Keep the half wigs ROCKKING!

  • If I'm asked "is that your hair?" I say "who's else would it be??" Sometimes they press on and say "I mean is it real?" I reply "Well it's not imaginary." And then walk away ending the conversation.

  • @Bricksmama thats frigging hilarious. lmao

  • @Bricksmama

lol, that is to funny. And you're not wrong :)

  • @Bricksmama lol "well its not imaginery" thats classic i'll have to use it next time

  • @Bricksmama lol! I love this response. I don't see why people care so much!

  • 2 words - tackey, tackey. If your're not interested in buying the person some hair then don't ask.

  • You're funny

  • And its mostly white people that do dat shit too..they used to embarass me in front of everyone..I had to snapp on them mofos b4 they stopped..yea they should just say "ur hair looks nice" and move on.

  • I say when I checked the receipt it was.

  • Lmao! I always get this. I'm a chocolate diva who's half wigs are ALWAYS on point and strangers come up to me in the mall or wherever and tell me "that can't be your hair because you're darkskinned" WTF?? Everyone thinks that dark girls can't have hair. It pisses me off. Thank you for telling me how to go about handling it because I get this every day.

  • @casslyn922 I feel you girl. I know alot of beautiful dark skinned sistas with gorgeous natural long hair like pure silk.Society has it in their minds that black women can't have natural beautiful hair. They better check the history books and look at all our African queens with hair to die for. Whether is natural or not, we know how to work it!!

  • lol, youre funny...so real though

  • I have super thick coarse hair jet black hair ,but I'm filipino and I can definetly relate. I've had girls grab my hair that I barely real "just making sure its real". People can be so damn rude!

  • my response to that question is "no its my cousins" u should c the look I get after I answer them lol

  • lmao..hahhaa "naw, i borrowed it"

  • LMAO !!! Baby Girl, You always keep it 100 !!! That's why I can't wait to check in wit cha every day. Be Blessed my Diva !!

  • I hate when people ask me that crap! I paid for it so it's mine! Love this response though! and YOUR hair is always on point april! and I love your eye shadow

  • Comment removed

  • All you ladies on here rock!! But you know what ladies, when someone ask you that question, don't get offended, take it as compliment. Why?? because obviously your hair was that important enough to them to ask about it. Old folks always told me,"Baby, as long as they keep talking about you and looking at you,you doing something right. it's when they stop that's when you worry."

  • Comment removed

  • this has to be the funniest vid you have done. omg, i wish we were homegirls, we would be owning these bishes...lol

  • You're hilarious! But oh so right! People need to learn to approach others properly.

  • lmao u had me dying...love ya hair n make up in this viedo... got some lovely tips as u were workin... keep it uup diva

  • LMAO " U KNO THATS A SIN FOR APPROACHING ME!!" greatness

  • I think it is soooooooo rude to ask anybody about their hair! I never do that! If it's on your head, clearly you are wearing it as YOUR own hair! People at my job KNOW not to ask me any personal questions about myself! I just give them the "are you crazy" look. LOL..Or I will flat out say don't ask me any questions that aren't work related. Thanks...Sorry, I got that Jersey attitude! LOL

  • I think some people should mind their damn business. It doesnt matter and its a question that some people just as to try and embarass you and you can tell the difference between a genuine question and the embarassing kind. I just smile ... but dont touch me. I dont play that "can I touch your hair" thing...oh hell no. You touch me, I touch your face with a slap

  • April girl u "CRAZY"! I cracked up when u said "plopped" on yo' head! That was too funny. Love yo' videos please keep em' coming! lol

  • Girl I get it all the time especially at work, lol! They know now what it is but it used to erk the hell out of me,lol! It is not your damn business so I feel you on that girl. People so damn nosey it just don't make no damn since....This brough back some memores but it made me laugh thanks girl you always say whats on our mind!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was funny.

  • it sounded like that lady at the grocery store was trying to find out what wig you wore. =/ there was absolutely no need to get so defensive about it- it was QUITE obvious she was just trying to find out what kind of wig that was.

& when I wanna know if someone's hair is fake, I always ask "your hair's really soft & pretty. what kind of products do you use on it?" and then they will usually reveal if it's fake or not. that's how I find out. :)

  • Just think of it as asking someone "Where'd u get your breasts done?" Asking about body parts of any kind (esp. to a stranger) is rude and not normal.

  • @LoveOfLaughs Why does it matter if the hair is home grown or purchased? I have never asked another person that question, because I don't care. It has never been my business as to what another woman does with her hair. I deal with haters everyday. I get that question from person with jacked up substandard hairdos. I don't need to know where another woman gets her hair from. Youtube has the hair info needed.

  • I can totally relate!!! I was in a meeting with supposed professionals and this girl just blurted out say, " WHAT KINDA HAIR DAT IZ" first off it was ghetto and inappropriate, and then it was in front of a bunch of men!

  • i feel that if u payed for it it then is yours and ppl have this thing where they think that if u buy ur hair that u must be bald headed or sumthing or not have good hair and thats not always true becus my hair i could sell for money my damn self its long and its got alil wave like indian remy hair i am mixed half chinese but i dont like doing my own hair so i buy wigs and half wigs and im about to buy a full lace wig soon too just so i can give my haira a break

  • I feel ya there girl, I look at them like y is u askin my my bussiness and all up in my head. Yeah its mine then yeah its mine.

  • Girl, I had someone come up to me asking me if almost EVERYTHING was real on me... Im not lying. She asked me if my hair was real (short hair like the Rihanna style), my fingernails, toe nails, teeth, eye brows..... That has never happened to me b4 & it was the most weirdess thing I have ever experienced. And everything she asked about is real. Thats crazy to me! I've been asked if I had braces, fake nails and fake hair... but not ALL at the same damn time!

  • i don't understand the big deal.. we have fake teeth, fake boobs, fake fingernails, eyelashes.. the list goes on and on... but somehow it is like WHAT you have FAKE hair?? weird.. lol.. so stupid..

  • I always assume it's a compliment andI say, oh thank you for asking, I spend a lot of time and care on my appearance...Oh, April diva...I had to file a grievance against an instructor for coming up from behind me while I was sitting and typing...this heiffer actually ran her nasty finger through my braids! unbelievable!

  • haha Girl ; I'm white and had so many people ask me if my hair is real because its ' naturally curly and then when i flat iron it . it looks likee pure weave !

ahaha , people feel mine too

    !

  • LOL my mom says the same thing! whenever they ask i say yes and i keep it pushing...they always want to touch lol omg ahahahaa this video made my whole entire DAY...they only do that to black women no other race i promise you that i have yet to meet someone who has walked up to a white woman and asked her if that was her real hair...

YES THIS IS MY HAIR! =)

  • I must say I stopped answering, no matter how much they wanna know. i LOOK AT IT LIKE ITS MY BUSINESS, so I say yes.

Just say yes. We need to stop asking that question. Ladies and Gentleman say yes and turn so they see the back and walk away.

  • Hey, girl, you think thats bad, one time, this guy was like are they real, or they silicone, talking about my chest, i just wanna knock his ass out, mines is all real, but everywhere you go, theres haters, and ignorant people, your nice on the inside, dont worry about there ingorant ass, stay nice how you are, love your videos, god bless

  • There just haters, girl, your nice the way ,you are, there aint supposed to be looking anyway, when people say that too you next time, say, is that your ass, haha, Yo, your great the way you are, just ignore those haters, they are just jealous, thats why they keep staring....just diss them. there not worth your time......

  • I just say "yes". If I get a skeptical look I say "hey, I paid for it, that makes it mine!" Or I just don't answer. It is an intrusive question and not really anyone's business.

  • ii sayy yepp and ii got the reciiept to prove iit!

  • omg april you had me laughing this whole video. but i like what you said because that is a tad bit aggravating when somebody ask that really dumb question

  • your hair is so soft....can i touch it! lol hahahaha Omg you are Hilarious. I am cracking up

  • LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!

  • DIVA you are a trip..but you are right LOL

  • omg i hate it when haters to that...im half west indian and black and my real hair comes to my shoulders....however i love to rock the lace fronts...half wigs....and full wigs.... i love the different looks and my hubbie loves them...i get them haten azz bald head bitches all the time saying is that your hair...YES DUMB AZZ IT IS! ITS IN MY HAIR! Even when i wear my real hair in two long cronrows the same azz haters ask that shit!

  • i get it all the time, but with my own hair. i also have people ask to touch or just touch all the time O_O. actually i'm not offended when they ask 'cause i know what they're getting at.

  • Also to add on, I would MUCH prefer if someone just complimented me and kept it moving because that's what it boils down to. You like it? Cool. Now get out my face! White women (since my town is 90% caucasian) be grilllin the hell out of me. It's like what are you going to do? You're not gonna go home and replicate this style so bitch boo bye! Oooh, I know I'm commenting like crazy, but this is an issue that really burns me up! Oh, & how they think you have no hair under the wig! Ugh! Ignorance.

  • Yeeeeeesssssss honey!!! I have a video on my channel touching on the same subject! It's like you said, there's a way to go about it, but I don't mind if they know it's not genetically mine. I usually just get fed up and tell them "Yes" and mean mug them. I hate when they start grilling me though. It's like get out of my scalp, damn! Great video! I'm so glad someone else feels the same way I do about this!

  • depends... sometimes i just say no and take it off if i have on a full wig. other times if the sister looks like she wants or needs beauty tips i let her in on my secrets.

  • Ok I came across your video and this was the 1st video I watched because the title drew me since I get the question "a lot" and it really burns me up. Since my hair is a certain length, I always get, Is that all your hair? Are you black? I am now a subscriber because you are on point chick!

  • It's not necessary to ask about whether someone's hair is real or not. If you see someone's hair and it's nice compliment it it if it's not please go about your business.

  • I get this every once in a while and it's gets so old. If it's not someone asking me "is that yours" it's some hoodrat goin "Hmph she knows that's a weave" "psshhh she knows that ain't all hers", I'm like "AND WHAT??!!" In my experience I notice it's usually females with little to no hair or if they have hair it's pulled in a ponytail with no more than an inch on it that make those comments. My real hair is actually shoulder length and I wear weaves and half wigs for length and fullness.

  • OMG u crack me up. "You got the receipt in the drawer or where ever you keep it. That's yo shit" LMAO

  • "I don't know where your hands where ....Digging in your ass " LOL LMAO!!!!!!!!

  • what about when people say " what kind of hair is that?" like they automatically assume its fake. let they haters hate, n keep looking fly!

  • or they are just trying to be nosy then i'll be like YES this is mine! lol So pretty much I would rather someone ask if its real first then to just put my business all out there cause they know its a wig/weave and think its cute and want one too...but if you are being ignorant or dumb then I will respond to that accordingly as well...most of the time haters ask cause they jealous you looking better with some fake hair than their real hair....lol

  • For me I think it depends on who asks, and how they go about asking...I find it HARD to believe that most black women in this country don't know by now that a lot of black women use hair extensions and accessories to glam up our look..so if another sista asks me then I'll probably be honest...cause I would rather her ask me if its real then just be like "OOH where did you get that wig??"

Now if its another ethnicity and they are asking because of the disbelief that our hair would be that long..

  • I used to get this question when I first started doing weaves but I don't anymore. I guess I've gotten better at it so it looks natural. lol

I agree if I bought the hair, it's mine!!

  • I have long hair, and sometimes wear half wigs that are shorter than my hair, just because I don't feel like putting heat on my head or I want a style that I can easily pay for instead of sitting in a chair for 2-3 hours trying to create. Is it my hair? Of course it is lol.

  • a boy asked me when i was in high school of how my updo stay up cuz he thought it stood up by itself n he was trynna touch it..updos cost 2 much 4 him 2 be playing in it...im the same about weave,if i pay 4 it then its mine lmao ppl usually ask me more when im wearing my real hair

  • U are so fun love watchin ur videos always on point.........much love

  • I guess I don't get that a lot because many of the people I work with are black or they know about wigs/extensions. I do get a lot of compliments when I'm walking down the street. One lady stopped me and asked if it was a weave, and I just told her it was a lace front and told her where to get it. No one has asked me if it was mine or not though. Thank goodness I haven't come across anyone so rude.

  • LOL! I say the SAME thing! lol... Love it!

  • I've only had that happen once or twice and I would usually give them the stank eye and say yes it is and I have the receipt to prove it. But when I'm with my hubby he usually answers for me with WTF do you think its on her head right. LOL Gotta love that protective nature of his.LOL But I love emeraldace's answer so I think that's my new one. :)

  • Usually it's a jealous ass woman who asks that question...I do give them the eye...then I would too ask them, why would you ask me that? is that your hair? white women ask that all the time and some jealous ass black girls...

  • i was at the doctor the other day and this little boy was dancing around like mj. his sister asked him to ask me if that was my hair. i said "yeah and it's rude to ask so moonwalk back over there to your sister"

  • I simply tell them: "if you have to ask, then my work is done". LOL

  • excellent comment. going to use that one now

  • I agree If YOU buy it,if it's on your head than it's yours. End of discussion...lol...and if you gone ask ,don't do it in front of everyone.

    That's just wrong....ask nicely..

  • lol I always say the same thing...I bought it, I'm wearing it, so YES it's my hair and then walk away

  • i know exactly what u sayin! this girl came up to me in the mall when i had a curly half wig n the front blended in very well, n jus came out " where u get ur hair from?" n i said "WHAT?!" n she repeated and i said " from my scalp!" you dont jus come out n ask people that! it's rude. but anyway love your channel, got put onto u from ateya
