  • @55mrfuckhead

Who cares that he's gay? Seriously. The guy's a freaking prince compared to all the homophobes I've seen attack him on these videos. Homophobia is pathetic.

  • Wow - remember this from "The Tube" back in the day - had a copy of this on Betamax!!!! So cool with the cut up cars. Unusual to hear the extra lyrics from the 12in version - I remember cutting some of this out for a mix I made of my own :-)

  • Flight of Conchords are better

  • You can rip the audio-mp3 of this clip at greatgrabber doht cohm.

  • he has got an awesome voice

  • the 80s music ruled! Pet Shop Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide. any questions? (:>)

  • East 17 did a version of this in 1993. Not as good as this one.

  • musica maravilhosa deles

  • Neil Tennant looks really tired and kinda nervous in this live session, for some reason. I remember when the PSB came to Los Angeles and performed at a large club to promote the release of DOMINO DANCING in the early summer of 1988, he had a ton of energy, and was in total control of the audience. It was so packed in there that it was almost a fire hazard. These guys were GREAT when I saw them live.

Where's the long, London Fog coat?

  • I didn't realise billie jean drums were used under the electro beat

  • @yousurfer2 Yes. This is Drumulator from EMU systems.

  • this is so old skool

  • I just read many of the comments from teens today wishing and regretting that they were not teens during the 80's. It's funny cause I was and I'd wished the same thing about the early mid 70's.....and never appreciated that I was around for a better era than I give it credit for. The 80's WERE fun too and I'm not sure I ever realized it until reading these comments today. Thanks to all for making my own youth seem more relevent in it's timing then I'd thought it was. :)

  • Emulator II great synth station!

  • @SimmonsDrums Agree. Depeche Mode were frequent users of the Synth. Other Synths simular to it are, Emax and Fairlight CMI...

  • @JonMcElectro But I write about the Pet Shop Boys :-) Fairlight CMI, but Depeche Mode was not theirs. Only he had borrowed. Instead, they Synclavier. CMI bought Vince Clarke for £ 23,000 after leaving the DM.

  • @SimmonsDrums Didn't know that. Thanks for the Information Mate. Cheers.

  • @JonMcElectro I read it in a book Stripped: Depeche Mode. by Jonathan Miller.

  • i'd give anything to be a teen during the 80s :(

  • @Keeana94 it wasn't so great. that's when AIDS started killing a-lot of good people, both gay and straight! cheers!

  • I am 15 years old and I absolutely agree with MartinLorenzo. I would say I'm an "old soul" as I really only like songs from the 80s and earlier. I am a percussionist in the Maumee Marching Pride, and Scott Kretzer wrote sheet music based on Donna Summer's "I Feel Love". That was the song in which we recieved a standing ovation. I can assure you, the 80s will never die.

  • dear god why isnt music as good as it was back then. I miss this kind of music so bad

  • new wave picked up where late 70s euro disco left off with the lush, polished sounds. new wave music left its mark on my soul.

i can really remember summer 1986 while listening to this song.

  • great PET !

  • Flight of the Conchords- Inner City Pressure lol

  • luv it and im 18 love 80's music

  • i love this song in any remix , great tune

  • The dark vibe of this song is awsome. I love these guys.

  • Hi thx 5/5

  • One of the only people, yes. You like these guys?

  • wow am i the only one here who wrote in english?

  • @radripper2 yeah it's scary I'm with you on that.

  • siempre tiene q haber un mexicanote !! ja

  • I love these guys, but WHAT THE HELL is Chris wearing? Neil looks kind of bored, I think. Or cocky. One of the two.

  • for me the best music made in the 80s, that particular sound of any band is amazing is indescribable what it's like to listen and think we are so far and there is no way back

  • @leknightcluber definitely...80s also the REVOLUTION

  • Cuando va a volver los pet shop boys en lima, peru

  • did these guys come to Australia ?

  • we had the best years in tunes 80s 90s

  • old tunes never die

  • 80s never die.

Let's at least hope on that.

Even too much remixes taken from disco era, which original roots teenagers of nowadays don't know.

Many of them think that Right Round is a true original or just don't think about it know.

Our task is to educate them:)

  • @MartinLoronzo....Amen to that dude!!!!

  • i grew up listening and dancing to their tunes in athens, later in new york and much later in london.have some very precious memories flashing in my head every time i listen to them.oh and just to make you jealous i got tickets for their concert here in athens, greece at a new venue near the airport.

  • Yup, the 60's and 80's rule!! This is a great song.

  • Next week we'll see them in our city Thessaloniki Greece. It will be a great moment in my life!!!!!

  • i'll see them in Athens the day before :))))) we're gonna have the time of our lives....we love the boys :)

  • lo maximo para q trabajaen mis timpanos! y dejen de quejarse pelotudos.

  • I'm going to their concert in a couple of months in Croatia!

  • I'm not! lol

  • It's a pity they're not coming to Portugal =(

These were the days !!! Great 80's !!!

  • Yes,great music days,80's will live forever!

  • 4ever, no doubt =) This was the best decade (in terms of various music genres, including the dawn of House and so on...), probably together with the 60's (that's what most people think, anyway...).

    All the best, m8 !!!

  • I'm going to their concert in a couple of months in Germany!!!!!

  • west end girls *dance* yeahhh ♥ PSB

    ILC

    Bine :o)

  • the petshop boys are great

  • See, I don't think they're cheesy either. They (and Neil especially) have a sort of intensity that make them the total opposite of cheesy. Plus they're funny guys, and that's always good for the ratings.

  • i love this song but the crowd doesnt seem to be into it. Or maybe they are just not dancing , idk its weird

  • i would be dancing so gay in the crowd.lol

  • : )

  • I wouldn't say they were cheesy. It's easy from our perspectives in the 21st century to call this video cheesy, but this was certainly not cheesy in the 80s. I was not fortunate enough to live through the 80s, but would guess PSB's catchy synth riffs and smooth flowing lyrics were quite the style in the new wave community back then.

  • What's this about the Illuminati? Angels and Demons has nothing to do with this song or this band at all. You guys should stay on topic...

  • 2:03-2:05 whats up with the dance he does in the music video, Ive never understood it.

  • Sir, it is not the Pet Shop Boys who are cheesy but American media. Our news is gibberish. Our music is is mostly prefab corporate crap. So much great music has gone unheard.

  • Truth be told... In 1986 there are are people who would have paid THOUSANDS to get into a private club where they could have seen Chris Lowe (Alpine Lowe) sing live...

    Yea, do the research...

  • God, I love how ridiculous Chris Lowe looks. XD

  • What are you talking about? This song is great! It's what made them big in North America, at least, and the concept of the British rap is original. Neil Tennant is a genius! Can you back up your claim, please? Or was it just a matter of opinion?

  • E-mu emulator 2+ wow. Those cost 10 grand back then. Besides in Ferris Beuler's Day Off this is the only time I've seen it used.. love the bass patch. (and of course the song)

  • I have one long time ago,fun and easy to sample with(in mono and 17 secs).Think the bass sound rather come from the Minimoog:-)

  • How ridiculous, better my foot

  • watn müll

  • Neil chose to "rap" this song, but he didn't drop his accent for the sole purpose of not making it sound like some classless New York rap song, which it isn't. This was their first major hit, and it's what made them known to the world outside the United Kingdom and continental Europe.

  • also they are very big in Asian........this song is the hit......I don't know why America don't like this kind of music......the rest of the world love it.

  • Most people in the country (America) have their head in their asses when it comes to culture. I've loved the PSB since 1986; soundtrack to my life. I'm seeing them LIVE in September for the very first time!

  • larry the cable guy...

  • maybe its wanker morons that make statements like you did who have their head in thier ass! Pet shop boys were popular in the states with this track you fkn homo!

  • Comment removed

  • do you live in a cave? because PSB were phenomenally popular in the states for many years. ciao!

  • I live in the United States, so I think I have a little bit of an insight into whether or not the PSB were "phenomenally popular" here or not. They dropped off the radar a lot after the first couple of albums. They were still great, just not as popular here.

There's no need to get upset or act like I'm making fun of them. I love the PSB, always have.

  • @Cereghini... He is not rapping.. That is simply monotone phrasing/ singing. I really have no idea why you would compare this song to New York rap. Apples and oranges, my friend. Very different.

  • quero uma namorada (Amo Brazil Ronaldo)

    Brazil4x1Uruguai

  • I wish they mad a longer version to this song. I love the synthysizer.

  • man when i was 12 yrs old i heard this song which was 1986, so lovely and a fabulous song

  • nice song nice video:-)

  • Neil's voice is so unique. I've never heard anything else even remotely like it. He's great, and so is this performence. I've got to say though, he looks BORED!!!

  • because everybody hate russia...

  • Everybody in your room? :)

  • war vs russia is a mission impossible because they hard winter is an endless mind for they opponents:it destroyed Napoleon and Hitler and nowadays the USA isn't enough brave to defend the Arctic Circle from Russia

  • why does he hate russia?

  • they said this is not about russia/ america, capitalism / comunism....

    they said it´s just about.....

girls and boys in the east/west of london !

  • and lake geneva and finland station, lenin's route to russia?

  • Not to mention the lyrics that didn't make the album cut. "Who do you think you are, Joe Stalin? " or the "You can find a place where no one knows..."

Funny, but I never thought about the song like that.

  • totally late to me about 30 years to watch and listen to this melody . thank you for posting this melody and then i can understand who they are.youre the best ..WOW . LOVE NEIL SO MUCH

  • WIDZEW LODZ POLAND

  • i Love this song

them in the loo though, yobs know

  • Cawabunga!

  • I love this song, an oldie... but goodie!

  • true. they are not one hit wonders. they have had many hits including 'its a sin', and 'suburbia'.

so get the facts right you morons.

also, i think ladyhawke copied this songs style, her song being 'from dusk till dawn'. check it out.

  • yes maybe it was a one hit wonder, but its the best petshop boys song and greatest song ever in my opinon, lovin the keyboard effects!

  • lol one hit wonder??

    i don't think so.

    this band had MANY hits.

  • What I think Keane50 meant is that they're a one hit wonder in the United States?

  • Yup, one hit wonders in the United States which has a retard musical culture and you only build a name for yourself if you put a bunch of bimbos or/and angsty teeniebops on your videos. LOL. ;-)

  • These guys (or gals) are great !!!! U.S. Music scene launched all modern music you moron. Grab some curry fries and sit back.... These cockney ball slappers, as well as most U.K. groups, would be nowhere without U.S. appetite for flamboyance and freak related media.

  • Maybe you mean US media, which is kinda correct...but the point I´m trying to make is that the music scene in the states is very narrow, limited to a proven formula aimed at sales and it does not comprise 1/2 of the music out there, so get out of the sun and get your facts straight little surfer boi.

  • kinks beatles u2 sex pistols nuff said

  • The best songs cross all boundary's... racial, culturally. and geographical. I've always like this song...

  • thank you so much for this video! , this is probably one of the best pop songs in history.
