95%...98%...this is really not much of an argument against evolution. What is important is understanding the phylogenetic tree and how we are most closely related to chimps, then bonobos, gorilla, orangatangs,...and so on.

The last time humans had a common ancester with chimps was before australopithecus, and that was over 4 million years ago.

I suggest taking a look at a few vids from CDK titled "evidence for evolution."

"we evolved from chimps" Here is probably the biggest flaw that people that do not believe in evolution make: We did not evolve from chimps! Humans and chimps have a common ancestor that we evolved from that was not human or chimp. The kept chimp evolving for millions of years beyond and so did we. You will never see a living missing link because every creature continues to evolve and will look very different from what any common ancestor will look like.

We not only know that we DID evolve from a common ancestor, but we also know how the changes in Orangutan, Gorilla, Human, Chimp, & Bonobo occurred.

Also you are bouncing around from one type of genetic sequence to another. Some DNA tests for the relative percentages of A, G, C & T. Others actually compare the order in which they occur. Different tests give you different results so you need to make sure you are comparing the same types of sequencing and understand their limitations or advantages. Not all sequencing is designed to show evolutionary relationship.

The evolution of the eye does not happen by simply adding complex component to complex component. Each part evolve gradually. Infact, you can witness just about every imaginable developmental stage in eye-evolution by looking at the different creatures on Earth today. Various types of fish, for example, have very primitive eyes.

Basic probability. Animals with major faults won't survive, breed en masse. It's hugely unlikely for a minor fault to spread throughout a population.

The jellyfish are a good example of what primitive creature's eye spot looked like back before the Cambrian explosion 600 Million years ago. Few simple light sensitive cell offer a advantage over others who don't have them.

Another example: trilobites (fossils found all over the world) who lived from the Cambrian to the Permian. They had evolved calcite eye, witch is better than only some light sensitive cells, but are still no match against modern eyes. And why not just one eye?
