Hey, 1 thing... We dont have fucking simulators on CONSOLES. Its hard to get something like Lock On, on PS3 or Xbox360. I have a PS3 and the only realistic thing i could get was IL-2. So plz stop saying, get DCS or sumthing, bcuz we cant get it if we only play on freakin console @_@ (why are ppl always sayin, get a PC game wich is not on a console lol)

I miscalculated and approached too fast, big deal. A landing sequence hardly says anything about one's skill at the game, which by the way HAWX doesn't require much of, since the physics are so simplistic and the weapons so accurate.

Just because they're better in real life it doesn't mean they're not extremely easy to use. And unrealistic is good, go play a sim for realism, not an arcade game. One of the problems with HAWX is that it doesn't know what it is, so you have some stuff being all realism-wannabe and other things being completely unrealistic.

Ace Combat 5 is the game that got me hooked on flight sims. I gotta say though, being able to do the aerobatics that these fourth and fifth generation jet fighters can do in real life got me interested in HAWX...

...then I played HAWX 2. And it was a piece of shit. I actually beat the game too. There were so many things that either didn't improve or got ridiculously worse with the second, which is why I'm going back to the AC series. I have no more faith in HAWX.

I'm not a native English speaker myself, that's not the problem. And according to the guy's channel, he's from the US, so... yeah. It's pretty obvious when someone can honestly not speak the language very well and when someone just doesn't give a damn.

Anyway, more or less realistic isn't the point, both games are still way too unrealistic to call either of them "realistic" or imply anything like that. But at least AC tries to keep some level of quality and polish in it.

@atomic8bombheadshot actually, there are 3 versions of the F-35. One for the Air Force (F-35A: just the traditional version), a Navy version (F-35B: better geared towards carrier take-offs)m and a Marine version (F-35C: this is the version with vertical take-off).

Long story short, only the Marine variant has vertical take-off capability.

If you go into cockpit view on the F-35, it's got a HUD display screen. An inaccuracy that spending 5 seconds searching "F-35 cockpit" on Google images would have fixed.

It's funny how in the course of a week, a 1:30 video and a short demo alone convinced me not to get this game.
