It's much harder to believe from the start that a child could just go 'missing' as Madeline Mccan did, here in the UK. It's not hard for a child to dissapear in a foreign country where the parents dont speak the language,it's hard to coordinate with police, don't know the area etc. In your hometown, where everyone knows everyone, you know the area, everyone knows the language it's very unlikely that the child would just dissapear like that-it's proved by the fact that she WAS found in the end.
