Trent & Tori dated in the early 90's. When they broke up, they both emerged powerfully onto the music scene. Nine Inch Nails (Trent's band) album Pretty Hate Machine, and Tori's album Little Earthquakes both make a lot of references to their relationship. Their passion and hurt were real and powerful enough to produce music that helped launch their careers. She references him in more than one album and perfromance. The history is interesting to notice when listening.

I don't think Tori & Reznor had anything special. "Caught a Lite Sneeze" pretty much says it all. I think fans make too much of the connection.

They had a relationship that didnt work out, but it did not end harshly. Though Courtney Love interfered, he obviously had no deep feelings for her(Courtney). Thus, starfuckers came along.
