  • Wow !!! How cool! I think I am going o MAKE my Spring purse rather than BUY one now!!! I am super excited! I Youtubed Rag Quilt because I am in the middle of making a rag quilt for my nephew and I love watching other people sew lol I am 22 from Tennessee, and I am gonna share your video because I think it's awesome :)

  • Thank you! I finished making mine today and am already getting compliments!

  • Thank you for the beautiful idea. love it

  • thank you for that beautiful demo love it.

  • Thanks for making this purse seem so easy to make.

  • i love the video it is so amazing

  • Great video, thank you to share it with us!

  • do u have to do the X stitching

  • Good idea, thank you !! look,so easy to do.... ^.^

  • There are so many ideas you can use this technique on. Maybe think about making a laptop sleeve?

  • I just wondered what kinda of fabric is used with this bag, does it frey attall? I would love to make some large cushions in this rag style

  • Thanks for the clear instructions! I sound it easier to pin the handles and closing strap before sewing up the sides. Also, for the handles, after ironing the fabric in half, I put the batting up against the crease and folded it over the batting and ironed it down. Then I tucked in the other side and ironed it down, so the 2 creases match.

  • What a clever idea and such a cute bag... I'm definitely going to try this someday! Thank you so much for the detailed video, love it!

  • Angie what a long way you've come since your first video, it has been fun learning from you. You are a great inspiration whether you are working with paper or fabric! I am looking forward to your next projects, as always.

  • Wow, Angie! With all that you have going on right now in your life, I am blown away by the fact that you could put together a video tutorial! Now I have to find that sewing machine ( maybe in the unfinished part of the basement or maybe it's in the closet under the stairs?) to make a darling little rag quilt purse! I even purchased the fabric already. Your directions fantastic...even for me not having sewed since Home Ec in HS. Thanks for enabling..er EMPOWERING me! Jan

  • Cute! I love this!

I also like your pink ribbon pin cushion!

  • cute cute cute!!!

  • This is sooooo cute...wish I had a sewing machine :)

  • Angie! this is so awesome! U know how hard I've been looking on YouTube with concise instructions to make something like this!!! I'm so glad you made this!!!

Can u show me or viewers how to make a blanket quilt? I would really really want to learn that!!!

  • Thank You this is a great project

  • Ang, it is so nice! I wish I could order from you...maybe you should sell them on etsy! i am a terrible sewer, i can't believe how quickly you picked it up, and all the stuff you bought! what i always want to know is after you sew the 'x' s on each square (where you made the 'chain', do you not have to knot the thread? doesn't it just unravel when you cut it? thanks! great job!

  • hey there,

you could back stitch it if you're worried about it coming undone. But, I didn't back stitch because those squares are sewn together and they're getting stitched later...it's hard to explain but once you make one you'll see :)

  • I still back stitch. Since it is a bag it never hurts to reinforce it :) Also, you had cute scallop edges and you cut them in 2. Why not cut between the scallops?

  • What an awesome purse! Thank you so much for sharing this.
