I will prepare this recipe with Iranian Nagroor (I do not know the english name maybe Grunt????) but instead of using bread crumbs (since I'm gluten free) I will use almond (crumbs). I will let you know how it tastes. Thank you for sharing! I love this easy recipe!!!! Ingrid
i would assume that the technique would be the same without the breading and some lime juice with salmon maybe minus a minute or two perhaps ? i am for sure trying this broiled fish with rice an veggies, it seems very simplistic.
@mixwell1983 You could do this without the breadcrumbs, but it is definitely much tastier with the breadcrumbs. Glad you enjoyed the video and that you are going to give this recipe a try....it really is simple and yet absolutely delicious.
@dahly0119 Glad you enjoyed the video and this recipe really is fantastic!

Please help. I can't find any answers on the internet for this. I have started cooking fish. But i can't get rid of the fishy smell on the fish while I'm eating it. My X used to cook fish and it never smelled fishy. I don't know what she did to it, May be the trick is in marinating it. Not sure.
@saeidmomtahan There are are a few things you can do to eliminate the fishy taste/smell.
if there is any fat, be sure to trim it off. If there is any "dark meat" (usually found along the lateral line, be sure to trim it off. The last point would be to be sure to wash out any blood that may be in the fillet.
If you get a chance, go to our thundermist fishing tips web site and search for bass cleaning. You will see the tips I have mentioned above.
@thundermistlures Hey thanks for that. I will do that. Some one also told me to put slices of Ginger on the fish as it is baking. I tried it, and much of the smell was gone.
I put just a few slices, so i'm thinking a few more slices might solve the problem.
Looks absolutely Yum! Thanks for such a great share :) I do have a question though, does the fish cook evenly all the way to the bottom end of it? I am wondering because the heat is coming from the top and you didn't turn the fish over. Looking fwd to your reply!
@AaishahAkram Glad you enjoyed the video and this really is an excellent way to cook fish as it is delicious!
Yes, the fish cooks all the way through - if your fillets are really thick, you could flip them once, but generally speaking, you do not have to. Most fillets are around 1" thick and this is no problem to cook. If you get them 2" thick, then you may want to flip them once.
Hope you give this recipe a try & that it becomes one of your favorites! Until next time, good fishing.
@sattice Glad you enjoyed the video and this really is a fantastic recipe!
If cooking for ten people, you may need to cook 2 batches, as your broiler pan may not be big enough - however, the cooking time will be the same for each batch.
@djangoxl Your oven should have a broiler option - if so, use that setting. If not, you can also bake the fillets in the oven and they will still taste very good.
I've noticed in your other vids you use a cabelas salt striker reel how is it Im thinking of buying it in the bait feeder version and want to know what its like

@thundermistlures - What type of bread crumbs do you use ? We had italian style but I assume you're using regular ?
mixwell1983 8 months ago
@mixwell1983 I was using regular/plain bread crumbs from an Italian bakery - this way, you can add your own spices and it always turns out great!
