@rolandorme Absolutely. Most people think that Roland is the heart of Tears For Fears. Sure he wrote a bulk of the songs but it was Curt who made some of those songs work. :)

Thank you for this wonderful video...! Very rare and precious pictures of TFF. TFF are truly wonderful in choosing who to sing their song. Both "Advice.." and "Size.." best fit to the tonal quality of Curt's voice. These songs may not appeal to the public very much these days since they didn't employ synth/electronic sounds into them too much but I find them touching a string in my innate feelings.

I know this is about Curt, but I just had to add that I never liked Roland's hair in that longer, "bob style". I think he looked nice with the haircut in the picture at 1:41.

Looking at all those photos certainly brings back memories. TFT were from my era,and I thought they were both "drop dead gorgeous". And even though I hate to admit it, I think Curt has got better with age, similar to a good wine, but then again, at my age you have to be biased....

Curt is a pretty decent person. He shares with fans within limits. He gets angry like the rest of us "normies" do.

I love certain artists with a passion but not to the point where I have no life outside of my computer. I like Curt but I also like Roland and I wouldn't ever wish any harm on either of them.

Unfortunately, it seems Roland had problems with a fairly aggressive stalker on the 2004 tour, with security interventions required on more than one occasion. While its possible the person in question was mostly harmless, even if it was a false alarm it would still be unnerving & one can understand why Roland would be hesitant to, effectively, set himself up for more of the same (or worse) by inviting followers or feeding not-so-harmless peoples delusions by becoming friends with them.

YouTube ate my punctuation: "Followers" and "friends" should have had quotation marks around them, indicating the Twitter and/or online variety, respectively, not the disciple and/or "Howdy, neighbour!" variety, lest there be any confusion.

I don't know if that, specifically, is why he doesn't do Twitter (or whatnot). But, if it does anything, this sort of thing would nicely reinforce any innate or pre-existing disinclination to engage, and make a guy think twice about actively fostering situations, not so much where the sane and rational decide you secretly love them because you @so-and-so'd them and become possessive nutters, but where you end up validating the delusions of those who already think so (in 140 characters or less!).

Thank you andre. I am working on one for Ro's birthday. I just don't know if he has a computer at home or not or if he's even online. I don't imagine that with two teenagers in the house that he and Caroline would be without a computer at the Orzabal homestead.

In all honesty I didn't really do this for any sort of recognition, although getting a thanks from Curt himself was really quite humbling, I did it to show how much I appreciate him and the work that he did both with TFF and by himself.

He works on that site all himself and there are some people who don't quite understand what it takes to run your own fan club.

Some things I do for recognition and other things I do because I appreciate people.

I went to his Twitter page and I said "Say Curt if you have time look at your website for a link that says "Happy Birthday Curt." It's under "Curt's Birthday." I want to know what you think, good, bad, or indifferent, about the pictures and songs that I chose.

He put it up on his website as a featured video and he said "I'd like to thank Celeste for spending the time to make this video. I of course like the finger up the nose shot :) that's just me.
