  • Blood pythons actually aren't supposed to be that fat. That snake is overweight.

  • my blood is about the same size and its a work out holding the thing

  • Neat. I noticed that this snake is especially thick despite it's relatively short length, especially noticable in the tail area where its diameter shrinks rapidly over a few inches. Is that common among blood pythons or is it likely this guy is just full of food?

  • extremely common. bloods are very terrestrial animals so they spend all their time on the ground and just wait for a meal to walk by

  • @khog286 they get 6 foot and yes thats normall i got a female blood python and she is as sweet as can be mine is now 5 foot 4 inches

  • @khog286 Yeah that is how Blood Pythons are. They get SUPER Fat. and its not full of blood lol its just there body. I have a Malaysian Red Blood Python and depending on sex they can reach 40 pounds easy and stay just under 5-6 Feet. Females get bigger then Males by far.

  • awesomr breitensteini

  • Glad you liked it. They have a reptile hut nearby in the park but not many of the snakes are labeled so it seems best to just listen to the animal trainers.

  • Indeed, I'd never seen a snake like this before.
