its not the graphix card. its the processor that ur using. i bought this game and evrything was compatible except the ghz. i had 2.0 ghz and i needed 2.4ghz to be able to run smoothly. so all u need is a new processor. they cost like 100 bucks anyway.

yeh this card can run the game but when it gets foggy or rains thats the time for the lag

yeh i think i know why it don't lag with yours its because your cpu is AMD PHENOM II X4 945 3.0GHZ and mine is AMD Phenom X3 8550 Triple Core 2.20GHz So What that means is your is PHENOM II X4 and MINE IS PHENOM X3 so yours is better. but if u had mine you would get lag when it rains

PS3 is a lot more affordable to get to play this game

PC will cost you at least 3 times the price to build

but in my opinion PC is worth it because the better you build it the longer it will last in games to come

but if you're only planning on GTA IV I would get a PS3 instead

personally I have a pc because I play over 20 PC games + over 80 SNES on emulators

most of the games are no disc swapping so I find it more convenient than a PS3

however it is a must if your using an integrated card

so it would be pointless and not helpful at all if i didn't put any commandline in description

@FreakFixtional adding the -safemode to the commandline.txt file will make the game run in lowest possible settings

it is called safe mode because all the hard memory-taking settings are shut off
