erm, yeah, er, Ibanez gave me this thing, er, yeah, erm, what's this thing called again? erm, it's made of wood, yeah er, there goes my phone, erm, I'll force myself to play it, er thanks for listening... etc.
Now when you were playing that $10,000.00 Fodera you stated it was all in the hands. So why doesn't this Ibanez sound as good as the Fodera since it's the same hands playing both instruments. Maybe it's how you have it eq'd. Cause most Ibanez's have pretty good tone, but that aint sounding to hot. But since you said it's all in the hands, this bass should sound much better than it does.
Did you add a lot of EQ to that on the amp or with the pre-amp right on the bass? That being said, what were the options there with the knobs? Blend, Volume and an eq? Uhh, sorry for all the questions, Dude.
It's interesting you are doing this kind of exploration, I have been doing the same with an an Ibanez four string with no bass ramp. I find when I go back to my Hohner BBass 6 with a bass ramp, I am able to play more accurately and faster. Great way to be inspired thand Janek.
have you tried playing sadowsky janek? I haven't myself because of geographical slash financial (I live in the PI) difficulties. and can you do video of you playing your precision bass?
