  • i have not watch this games because i was born 1991. michael jordan is my favorite player and will always be. nothing will compare this level of playing than in todays. the centers in this era are very skilled and athletic at the same time, almost every team has a star, almost every team is good defensively and very competitive. sorry bad english. -basketball fan from philippines

  • The 8s are the heaviest shoes i have its kinda crazy how he dominated in such heavy shoes

  • was at this game....wow so long ago...only time i saw mj live....

  • i bet the hole bulls nation was put on stand still for a short second when he went down

  • @DrmrGuy1979 I just cannot believe Jordan played so many minutes back then, and guarantee he was always running into physical contact. He had stamina and heart, I think the NBA lost both and tried gaining an ego. ahah

  • @ 5:29 that looks like craig sager but it also doesn't. if it is he looks really young there

  • Many players this day wouldn't finish the layup, but flop that they were hit on the head. MJ is hurt, but he's still cutting to the basket, shooting fadeaways, and dunking the ball. He was a wounded warrior, leader, and fierce competitor. NBA nowadays is all showboat.

  • Young players today don't have the leadership qualities Jordan, Magic, or Bird had. All this talk about Kobe, Lebron, Wade, but none of them were true leaders on their team in the 2011 playoffs, or Finals. They were so inconsistent it was a joke, Dirk to me showed more leadership ability than all of them. Just because you score most of the points doesn't mean your a great leader. Its who elevates their team as a whole, cause having the most Allstars doesn't equal Championships.

  • 3:28 you cant teach that

  • Too much undeserved titles being given out now a days. Too many overrated players now a days. Too many dudes with no swagger stealing everything from legends down to the way they talk and chew gum now a days. SMH...

  • OMG no one stops Jordan

  • This was The GREAT Days of Basketball but if NIQUE had Not been so Dirty by Atlanta and stayed there instead of going to the Clippers , Celtics ,Overseas ,Magic and Spurs He would have had Easily been in the Top 4 All-Time in Scoring .And Micheal aswell if Not for Baseball and Retiring Twice such a Shame .

  • nigga its the swagg limp

  • NBA is all about money now just like the NFL

  • @alketa1982 type 'annoying spammer' and youll get yourself

  • Come on Kobe is not handchecked.

  • Jordan is too damn good.

  • I sure miss the days when basketball was good. :(

  • I don't know how good Kobe and James would be if they were hand checked. Its different to score with that.

  • @Koolv32 kobe is handchecked all the time. idk what ur talkin about. defenders are hangin on him constantly.

  • @mjkingofmusicmj Kobe is not hanchecked, nobody is..... try to look some videos of derek harper when he was in NY. He was handcheck master, and I'm glad that is a foul now. It's stupid that when you are passing by a player he can hold you by your hand. John Starks would hold MJ's arm all game long.... that was stupid defending.

  • @peskelj Fuck outta here

  • @peskelj hand checking is not a stupid defense son... it is the ULTIMATE DEFENSE! that is why 80's and early 90's basketball rule. the present nba that we have right now is the one that is stupid...

  • @mjkingofmusicmj do u have any idea what hand checking is all about? in 94-95' the nba limited the hand checking rule to some extent and completely took it out in 04-05 season. therefore kobe played under the revised hand checking rule from 97-05'. therefore, after the 05' season until today kobe has played without the hand check rule so stop saying kobe is being handchecked all the time... it's pathetic & stupid!

  • you can tell from the audio that back then even the commentators knew more about defense than todays NBA players.

  • @falkner23 im not a kobe-freak, MJ was the best by a mile. im just saying you cant hold it against players for utilizing what older players did. do you think rondo is a worse player for learning the dream shake?

also way to freak out over a youtube comment. maybe you should learn to relax.

  • did i hear that they had a rookie on mj?

  • Wow! He dunked with a sprained ankle! This was the time when I want to see the Airness..Really amazing!!!

  • This was when NBA was about Jordan......

  • @retecoomoati

lol. so would jordan in his prime not be able to do any dunking against an in his prime dr. j just because dr. j taught jordan how to dunk?

  • @orstenwald How the f*ck did Dr.J teach MJ to dunk exactly? where do people get this shit from.. go watch Dr.J and then watch Michael they look nothing alike on floor with the way they play. Now watch Kobe and your see hes copied Jordans complete style of play the moves all look damn near identical..yet the results are less effective and inefficient. Hes gone so far to copy everything Jordan, his body language, way he walks, talks, his celebrations..everything..to the point of obssesive stalker.

  • @falkner23 *And cannot forget Kobe copying all Jordans facial expressions..and the tongue also. Dude is a Jordan wannabe to the max.

  • I remember this game like yesterday!!!! This was a good series too, me and my brother watched this game and when the camera put a close up on those J's we lost our minds.

  • ..oh man, those were the best times of the nba. when there were no overpaid tattooed gansterwannabes playing the game!

  • Dang man he was so fundamentally sound.

  • Pippen's like "yo mike, i got a flat top. you cant be falling on me if i got a flat top!"

  • the NBA Jam days

  • HIs Royal AIRness

  • I wish i was a teenager around this era.

Our best player in the league is wannabe gay kobe

  • Amazing doesn't quite cover the things Mike did on the court for his entire career. Someone should create a new adjective to describe him.

  • Jordan still score mad crazy even with his foot hurting. That's just incredible... not many players these days have that kind of caliber

  • @Finalxgohan lol but I don't get it he is being double teams on this game and he still makes them

  • @miguelbaezjr Will power and skills = a crazy combo.

  • @Finalxgohan Well I hate Phil Jackson he said that Bryant is better than Jordan :-(

  • @miguelbaezjr He is only saying that because Kobe is the one getting him the titles now.

  • @miguelbaezjr That's because he works with Bryant this time. It's 2 usual things that happen all the time. Short memory and be biased about people of our environment at present.

In 5 years time when he'll be asked to compare them, assuming he'll be unbiased, he would say MJ is way way way better than KB or anyone else.

  • Oh yeah, and players today, whenever there is a whistle blown, every fuckin player always has a story to tell the refs (OH THATS NOT A FOUL ON ME!!!)

like bunch of spoiled crybaby brats.

  • These were the days when rookies like the Birds, MJ's Wilkins' Magics's etc.... had to earn there moment in the spotlight.

Not this tickytack bullshit U see today.

(example) Lebron was a superstar before he even took his 1st shot in the NBA. I'm not saying the Wade's, Bryant's, Paul's, Howards melo's etc.... are bad players. There just spoiled

The defense in the 80's and early 90's would knock the stars today in the f'n dirt.

  • @BenMasterz23 MJ actually said the same thing on the interview with Oprah. He said they had to earn everything that they got

  • great team work by the Bulls @ 6:44

  • This was when the NBA was good

  • @MVG199109 the calls have ruined the game

  • Jordan is the best!!!!

  • Yeah, I remember watching this game. I have always rooted for the underdog, and so I was rooting against MJ. But I have to admit, I have never seen anyone do this before. He played on one foot!!! Unreal. He is the greatest ever to play the game.

  • Isiiah Thomas did it too, vs the Lakers. They lost though.

  • thz was bad 4 me 2 MJ down never get it

  • its done, stop arguing. finally MJ is in hall of fame and be praised as the greatest player of all time by NBA/ESPN, by ppl who knows basketball well. stop comparing.

  • @ gocelts34n7

And Kobe lead his team to the Championship last season and played better than Wade or LeBron

  • Amen..

  • another 1 at 1:35

  • wow the turnaround shot at 0:33 over a double team amazing

  • every jordan video that i watch usually ends up to become a kobe vs jordan discussion but to settle it jordan is betters

  • What year was MJs best year ? 1993 was his best in my opinion, in 1998 he had perfected the game, and in 1988 he won every award possible...tough question to ask yourself

  • 1987 Jordan averaged 37 ppg. Remember this was only his third season.

  • Starting the 99-2000 season the nba's gone on a downward spiral...

It's all about show instead of real basketball...

The current "superstars" would whine too much in the 80's and 90's

  • i agree i wish i was born before 1995, so i could see some real ball

  • Just watch now,, this season, last season, the year before, 2006

(06-07 sucked, more injuries than any one season ive ever seen)

ive been a diehard nba fan since i was a little boy too by the way (i was born in 69)

  • no league started going down from 96 season

  • so wrong, the league SUCKED from 96-2004 and is now on a upward swing and been very good every year since 2004 for the first time since 95-96

none compares to the 80's though, (that coulc change if the nba keeps having all these good drafts and iinternational players though.)

Gotta love Wade, Lebron, Garnett and Duncan just like i did Dominique, Barkley, Jordan and Isiah

  • @KeReignman Amen

  • @KeReignman Many would say that the worst era for the NBA was right before Magic and Bird were drafted into the league. That's when players were truly all about personal fame and glory and flash. I think the current generation of players have more of a mature and teamwork-oriented attitude than back then. So I disagree with the fact that it's all about show nowadays. A lot of stars don't even focus on the dunk competition like back in the day because they know that flashy dunks = injury.

  • @KeReignman not true certain guys love contact and could hang with these legends not has good has them but hang

  • imagine MJ in the current weak NBA

  • Yeah, he was actually pretty damn good a few years ago considering he was old and had two bad knees. 22 and 20 ppg against these so called elite players

  • besides all the bullshit u guys are arguing about. mj this kobe that. WE ALL KNOW WHO IS BETTER. deep down inside u know who it is. It is MICHAEL JORDAN. people who compare them are idiots and dont know shit about basketball. other than that. notice how this is true basketball, no flopping, no stupid calls. normal semi agrresive/agressive basketball. the NBA now is a joke

  • Obviously. This years LBJ and Dwyane Wade were closer to MJ as a player than kobe ever was

Kobe is a different type of player

theyre all different types of players,, kobe isnt that effiient and doesnt attack the rim like jordan did (or wade does now and lebron does now)

  • So this is were paul pierce learned it from lol.

  • paul who?

  • Great videos and commentary, well done. Wonder if any of these will convert to HD one day...

  • Michael Jordan is truly the best of all time. his will to win is unmatched in nba history. You pretty much had to michael jordan's heart out to win against the chicago bulls.

  • good stuff...Mjs hands are huge..for you to have those hands and be able to shoot the ball like he did...is very hard to believe. Generally players with big hands like his can't really shoot the ball...too well...there are exceptions..Pippen etc...but most have problems until they attain a shooting coach....of some sort...

  • God of Basketball!!!

  • i gusse who would win me vs michael jordan.........

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOl.

    Michael Jordan would win.

  • they said he was suspended in that video??,lol, what for???,and great video man!!

  • it was earlier in the year he got suspended for fighting

  • oh!,ha alright man thanks!

  • he is a true legend...he is Michael Jordan ...

  • its so smart how MJ kinda 'plays' the hawks with the little ''injury'', its a great mindplay. it has to do with confidence etc. very smart.

  • u can't stop this man

  • This video just show how Great is MJ, the injuries can't even stop him.

    Amazing player!

  • jordan is the master of stell

  • Jordan is wearing the playoffs

  • Jordans the greatest because not only of his skills, but he revolutionized the game as well...changed it.People wanna be like and play like him.Wilt was the other greatest in my mind.He dominated like no other and maybe not the greatest "winner ",that would be Bill Russell,he was the most dominant.

  • Sorry but he's not, Kobe gets to the free throw line and scores most of his points because of the rules, you can play zone in the league but it is not a "real zone" because of the three second defensive rule and you know that. The middle is open and on top of that there's the charge line so defenders have to worry about that too. Defenders cannot play d today because of all the defensive rules and players like Kobe are benefiting from it. Like I said if Jordan played today he would score more

  • AMEN!!!

  • To me, the biggest change in defense is the elimination of hand checking. I can't even imagine how much MORE MJ would dominate in a league where the defender couldn't hand check him all over the court

  • just watch 1997 or 1998 season and youll see how much he did when they couldnt handchek him all over the court

  • So let me get this straight, in the history of the NBA there has never been traps or double teams until 2001?...yeah ok anyway just for your information the NBA put the zone in the league to encourage more shooting and thus more scoring and at the same time they put in rules to protect the offensive player and give them more freedom to score. Jordan was triple teamed and fouled real hard but still scored 40 or 50 points, if he played today he would score way more than what Kobe has scored

  • Jordan is a monster hands down....there is no comparison with Kobe....I only wish I could have seen Wilt Chamberlain play just to see how he scored so many points

  • hey man, Jordan is better but there is a comparison! You mentioned wilt chamberlain and the points he scored, most which were in the paint! Kobe's unprecidented 45 point streak and 81 point game were shot from all over the court.

  • Jordan had the same 40 point streak, actually Kobe was following his unprecidented 40 point streak. I know Wilt scored all his points in the paint but how he scored them was what I said. Kobe had an 81 point game but there is no comparison because Jordan played in an era where you can actually play D and the offense didnt have an advantage with rules like today. Jordan shot a lot of jumpers and still shot over 50% for his career. If Jordan played today he would average a lot more than before.

  • Yup I agree. Defense now is MUCH easier than it was before. Despite myself being 16 years old, I find watching replays of the old-days games as more entertaining and intense to watch.

NBA was much better 'yesterday', unfortunately.

  • you are extremely right.

  • yeah, I agree with you and I am only 19 years old. David Stern has made the NBA into a Special Education league.

  • You drop straight knowledge.

  • you two are arguing about offense as if thats the only thing that matters in basketball . even if you COULD present an argument that Kobe and MJ were comparable in offense (which you cant ... Jordan went multiple seasons scoring 30+ AND avg 50%+ from the field . Kobe has never done this in his life) Jordan is lightyears ahead when it comes to defense . defensive player of the year , only player to get 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season (did it twice) , Kobe will never reach such accolades

  • Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins last ever game with the Atlanta Hawks..

  • This isn't his last game as a Hawk. It came midway through the next year when he was knifed, uh, traded for Danny Manning.

  • aman to that, knifed indeed, its never been quite the same here in the A

  • no he played in atlanta in 93-94

  • Actually, this would be his last NBA Playoff game with the Atlanta Hawks, but nine months later, his last game would be on Wednesday, February 23rd, 1994 against the Seattle SuperSonics, and a day later, he would be traded to the LA Clippers for Danny Manning.

  • I remember watching this game in my dormitory freshman year.

  • The will to win.

  • MJ will Forever be a legend...

he needs to lower the price of his shoes still

  • usually id give MJ the GOAT his props, but just like to take the time to say that its very sad NIque didnt get the 50 greatest nod, while some others should not have got it

  • he is like thwe greatest player ever he is like the fadeawAy master

  • Are you seriously kidding me. There is no way this man can be considered human, i am struggling to find superlatives for this performance.

  • GOAT

  • greatest. i am so attracted to jordan's style that it disturbs me. the wave back of the left arm on the take off is too ill, also the posing of the hands like wings of a bird, the tork and position of the entire body.....no one will ever be able to have all that body controll-he has it on every attempt-on every impossible dunk, shot, layup, pass, freakin even when drinking water he just has it. and it's easy for him. it's simply his style.

  • man its like poetry the way he moves out there

  • Thanks for the heads up of the different game locations Hoops. I definitely would not mind watching game 1 and 2 for this series.

  • History tells us an injured or sick Jordan is sometimes even more lethal than a healthy Jordan. Tremendous competitiveness.

  • AMAZING

  • He's like a trapped animal. Fearless and deadly

  • @blast2blast that is jordan's nature.. failure gave him strength. thats how he became that great..

  • ops....Sorry! GOAT not GOTA

  • The GOAT...no one will ever replace him.

  • GOAT

  • GOTA

  • Awesome..

  • At 6:32... the guy gets his ankles broken by a guy with a sprained ankle...NICE give and go!

  • He was an ironman.

  • it was way worse when he broke his foot this didnt look as bad

  • inspiratonal shit man. that was a joy to watch. thank you. 23#1.

  • 1:23 wow!

  • I hope this video dispels the myth that MJ couldn't shoot 3's, cause that first one was from deep and the other one off the dribble was like the dagger. Thanks to Jamal Crawford for the video. I was hoping when MJ made his final comeback with the Wizards he would land Crawford. It was rumored that he and MJ won 13 straight pick-up games together. Crawford said it was easy to play with MJ and I heard MJ made an attempt to get him but Krause declined it.

  • ...averaging 5.5 APG, 6.5 RPG, 2 BPG AANNNDDD 2 SPG??? Friggen MONSTER. Period.

  • Just great memories....I remember this game very well...I thought it was going to be like when HE broke his anckle back in 1985-86...I was so scared...when he came back as he did, that was just incredible...thanks man you light up my day...

  • Thanks for the upload Hoops. I am glad you managed to get a game in with one of my favortie Pg's of all time. Good ol' Mookie Blaylock. Granted Jordan put it to him, he was still one of my favorite players to watch.

  • I have game 2 of this series on my channel

  • GREAT VIDEO FROM HOOPS

It JUST LIKE ANOTHER 'FLU GAME'

  • i know blaylock is small, but that was a massive dunk by Pippen at 3.25. if the bulls were at home the place would've errupted.

  • ouch that's hurt a lot its not ec..to comeback and play that good his injured how come he can play with other guys that no twisted ankle injured.. haha jordan is a nightmare in basketball ..hehe

  • And I know Mookie was a sneaky lil fucker back in the day, but what rocket scientist came with the idea to put him on MJ?! I guess they figured since he looked like MJ's dad (RIP) Mike might take it easy on him. NOT!!

  • Shorter guys always defender Jordan better. Their ability to move fast laterally, adjust their positioning and stay low to the ground limited his ability to drive. John Starks, Joe Dumars are prime exmaples. Yet he burn his opponent no matter who it was...

  • I love Hubie's comment "It's like he's playing a game of horse all by himself" about Jordan.

  • "HE SIMPLY REFUSES TO LET THE BULLS LOSE". That about sums it up.

  • thanks

  • THANKS HOOPS once again

  • man i remember this game i wish i was in middle school again. this really make me happy thanks hoopz

  • Did Paul Pierce watch this game before Game 1, lol.

  • What substance did they give to MJ?

That's BS, the guy can't comr back in the game like that

  • please post more of these videos from 93

  • the G.O.A.T.

  • thanks hoops! keep the playoff games coming from his championship years! you the man!

  • How the hell do u have all these. Did u originally tape them when he was playing. Espn classics or something.

  • Good old memories :)

  • Only player with comparable body control would be AI I'd have to say but he's a litte guy, for him to have that much coordination at his heght rly is amazing.

  • Oh my what a move at 6:16 - 6:18, and the guy had a sprained ankle.

  • 7:10... ridiculous. But then again, this was MJ in his prime; even today, MJ can probably still break someone's ankles.

  • As soon as I watch these games all I want to do is go outside and be like mike

  • HE's Great!!! I Just found a new respect for the man, Amazing!!!

  • Damn u just finding out how great & dominating he was.

  • 6:40 and 6:49 are so sick!

  • 2:40 so smooth!
