  • To love and be loved is the greatest gift in life!

Thanks to Arundhati Roy for her great words.

LOVE and RESPECT is all that matters!

  • @Ilkamy best wishes! lots of love and joy.

  • @Ilkamy Thanks for sharing this video message!

Arundhati is a great writer and a wonderful comrade.

"The mullahs of the Islamic world and the mullahs of the Hindu world and the mullahs of the Christian world are all on the same side. And we are against them all." (Arundhati Roy)

    United we can win!

    Happy New Year.

  • @Ilkamy

Thank you Ilka for sharing the beautiful words!

More wise words by this great woman... :-) "Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.

Either way, change will come. It could be bloody, or it could be beautiful. It depends on us!" (Arundhati Roy)

  • What saddens me most is that even the educated Indians are too blinded by religion or nationalism to truly understand what Arundhati is saying. Arundhati is a rare gem of an intellectual, and a staunch supporter of the powerless, and she has a great understanding of governance, democracy, corporate globalization, world politics, and above all, an excellent grasp of language.

  • @rakshan this educated fools like arundhati and her believers do not really care about the poor. They survive by using different issues that affect the country and spill hatred in front of foreign audience. Why not use your energy to do something in the country instead of spitting hatred in front of foreign elites? Her main erning source is such speeches.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 the last thing you do is "think". Change your nick. you dont deserve it. And tell your hindutvadi friends to get an education.

  • @rakshan hahaha i know you hate them. But for your kind info I am atheist. And I hate jihadis and evengelicals. I love natives and they are the ones who belong to the land. Your hatred is not going to change the history or facts

  • @ThinkingGuy100 you're no atheist. You're a hindutvadi who hates muslims, hates christians and believes that India is only for hindus. Religion and nationalism are both ugly diseases and causes of wars. Wake the fuck up.

  • @rakshan hahaha i am native indian and i hate all haters especially violent ones. They don't belong on our land. Religion and nationalism are supported by you haters when you want to create muslim countries and oppress non-muslims. But you try to ridicule others for demanding the same in their own land. You should be thankful to hindus for allowing you to live here despite your hatred for them

  • @ThinkingGuy100 I happen to be hindu, so stfu.

  • @rakshan first learn the meaning of term moron before abusing the term.

  • @rakshan and i don't need a certificate of atheism from hate mongers.

  • @rakshan the word indian is the latin form of word hindu. This land belongs to natives...not to the cults that are trying to take over every corner of the world.

  • I think the comments section on this page show the vile, undemocratic, sexist and ugly face of India. The real face of India.

  • @derdriui hahaha shows how much hatemongers like you love her. She has no support from common people. She is loved by hatemongers like you.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 Are you seriously defending the majority of comments on this page by Indians? The sexism, the vulgarity, the lying and twisted attempts to discredit her?

I don't agree with her on everything, but generally her comments have been valid. I agree on Kashmir, ALL THE LEGAL PAPERWORK AGREES ON KASHMIR, THEY WERE PROMISED A REFERENDUM, but I disagree with, say, her stance on Anna Hazare, maybe. She is not loved by hatemongers, otherwise you would love her.

  • @derdriui She brought it onto herself. There are many activists who have done a lot for the people and they do not receive such comments. Even if I defended such comments, it is nothing compared to the reak-world violence defended by this woman.

By capitalizing and screaming, you wouldn't try to change ne, idiot. Your legal paperwork is illegal because indians weren't offered a referendum to produce your referendum. Indians have suffered for centuries and they will not be fooled by you.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 India has suffered for centuries so Kashmiris should suffer for your stupid, uneducated ideas about history?

Do you thinks facts are things that are there to "fool" you?

Also, what are you talking about, what violence has she defended and where?

She defended the indigenous people reacting against the government, saying that the Maoists have come in to use that and they are fighting against the military who is defending corporate contracts they have signed over indigenous land.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 I wasn't screaming, I was emphasizing. Kashmiris were promised a referendum, crying crocodile tears about India isn't going to change the fact that THAT is why Lord Mountbatten was a little comfortable of leaving Kashmir to the Indians.

  • @derdriui promised by foreigners and elites. Indians were not offered a referendum to offer a referendum so your claims are baseless. Hahaha paki, I see now why you like this indian woman lol And majority of kashmir valley is with pakista. Kashmir was left free but pakis invaded and captured most of the kashmir valley. Any islamist who can't live with others can go and live in pakistan. That's why you created that country.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 Paki? Seriously? It's 2011, you idiot. I'm not Pakistani, but that's a stupid, offensive and ridiculous term. You can fuck right off.

  • @derdriui hehehe well you deserve to be offended if it is an offensive term. This is 2011 so stop offending us by trying divide our land on religious terms. You can live for the country that was created for people like you

  • @ThinkingGuy100 People like me? And what's that? Which country is that?

Seriously, why are you spouting this ignorant bullshit against muslims, pakistanis, women and kashmiris? were you dropped on your head as a child?

  • @derdriui now don't try to act victim. I am aware of all your tacticts. You attack indians and that's fine. And don't try to put words in my mouth. I am not talking about muslims...i am talking about fake kashmiris who have taken over indian land

  • @ThinkingGuy100 I attack Indians? No, I'm talking to YOU. If you're an Indian, then good for you. Your idiocy though is rather bad for India in general AND Kashmir in particular.

Fake Kashmiris have taken over Indian land? What kind of drugs are you taking? People from Kashmir living in Kashmir, the land which was part of the princely state, and now is part of India? Are you talking about Azad Kashmir? Who are these "FAKE KASHMIRIS"?

  • @derdriui the current population of kashmir has shown how fake they are by throwing our real kashmiris. the current population is from central asia according themselves. They are arab wannabes and hate the real kashmiri culture that they have destroyed.

  • @derdriui your master mountbatten didn't play any role in kashmir becoming part of india. Your masters did their best to divide the country by conspiring with islamists. It was the ruler of free kashmir that decided to join india.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... THERE WERE TERMS. A REFERENDUM WAS PROMISED. READ A BOOK. Instead of shouting racist slurs against Pakistanis, who aren't even part of this discussion, and talking about liking Indian women. Keep your cock in your pants and use your brain. Idiot.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ALSO, Indians don't get a referendum over the referendum promised to Kashmiris, you complete idiot. Why would Indians in the mainland get a referendum over whether Kashmiris could get their historical and LEGAL right over their nationhood?

  • @derdriui every idiot on the street can claim to be a nation and ask for a referendum. go somewhere else

  • @derdriui mainland? hahaha kashmir is not an island. It is part of india and the real kashmiris who had become minorities have been kicked out from their homeland by the islamists. india is made up of different regions and they all must get the referendum on how their country should be divided.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... So all the Muslim Kashmiris are not Kashmiris? Sufis. You have a problem with so many things. Read books.

  • @derdriui oh so you want to generalize when it's suitable to you. muslim kashmiris are fake kashmiris otherwise they would not have kicked out the real kashmiris.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... Are you even... reading what you're writing? Where do you get this "history"? That's not what happened, you mad idiot.

  • @derdriui inviting me to live in denial like yourself?

  • @ThinkingGuy100 I'm asking you to read a book! Here, try a book by an INDIAN journalist, who has no sympathy for Kashmiri independence.

Kashmir the Untold Story by Humra Quarashi.

  • @derdriui i don't necessarily need to read books that are liked by you

  • @ThinkingGuy100 Read any honest writing about Kashmir from non-BJP inspired sources.

  • @derdriui and why should I exclude BJP inspired writing? The history of this country has been corrupted by the hateful marxist nehruvians and jihadist sources.

  • @ThinkingGuy100 THE REFERENDUM IS PROMISED BY LAW. Grow up. Study some law.

  • @derdriui oh which law. The one created by your masters? Indians weren't offered any referendum before the creation of your belowed law

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... So Nehru was a colonialist?

  • @derdriui nehru may well have been mi5 agent. his actions were exactly what colonialists wanted

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... So the law is meaningless, Nehru was Mi5. Nehru is the one who wanted Kashmir so desperately. If you hate him so much, and he wanted Kashmir for sentimental reasons, why can't Kashmiris have a referendum to decide what they want to do with themselves?

  • @derdriui i don't see any difference between nehru and the seperatists in kashmir

  • @ThinkingGuy100 ... SERIOUSLY. Nehru, the guy who said that Kashmir is to him like Callais to Queen Mary. THAT Nehru is like the KASHMIRI SEPARATISTS? The man who said Kashmir to him is written across his core like Callais to Queen Mary.

    READ BOOKS.

  • Drop Electric - "We will be humans, finally", samples this.

  • DEFINE ARUNDHATI ,PUNGENCY OF MUSTARD OIL AND SWEETNESS OF COCONUT .....HUGH

  • A brilliant lady indeed! Privately she told a friend that she believes that the whole of Jammu and Kashmir State belong legally to India. She talks big this is to get mileage.

Recently she mentioned to a friend that she will try to liberate Tibet and Muslim areas from China. Since China is very close to Israel thus for the first time the Jewish lobby is angry on her. At the end of the day this lady is frustrated.

  • @LaliSJamwal

and im assumng youre the friend?

  • She is one of those rare jewels that needs no polishing..

  • she is such media freak

  • hello girlfriend

good for her bitch got some publicity for it

  • Kashmiris by nature will never agree to cede to hindustan india lies to the world, but the ground realities will always be telling the clash between ''moral'' and ''material'' The clash between moral and material: Whenever it takes place Moral always wins No matter how moral appears to be weak in the beginning But in the end, moral will always come out with the flying colours FEAR is NO policy Surrender is NO option Pakistan Zindabad Kashmir Paindabad
  • What a beautiful and intelligent woman. And what a great talent.

It is difficult to find such meaningful words in literature. This is rare talent indeed..

  • She has simply write and enjoy her life and let the readers judge.

What right has she to dictate and defy the Indian state about what only she feels is right.

She should be arrested and put behind bars.

Better still is she should be deported to Pakistan or North Korea where she will find plenty of controversial writing material and also get the rightfully deserved licks.

    Shame on her..

  • @no2nonsense HAHAHAHAHA. Really?! "She should be arrested and put behind bars"?! I think you have your priorities all mixed up. Personally I can say i don't know much about her opinions on the state of India, but that is what they are OPINIONS. Ever heard of them? Goddamn this is when i'm glad I live in a country that doesn't rape or kill anyone that has an opinion. Fuck all you hoes.

  • @123578> U live in a country that kills 1 million female babies before or after birth. 30,000 young brides r burned/yr for non fulfillment of xtra dowry. • @12357> U lied. Indians murder 1 million female babies be4 or after birth / yr. 30k young brides r burnt / yr 4 greed of dowry. 30 Million widows r prohibited from re-marrying, but used as prostitutes. Every 45 sec a she child is kidnapped & sold as child bride to older person, sometime to multiple males of same family. Poverty stricken villagers sell their daughters for $20/ to any one & or they give away as DEV DASI to TEMPLES, where their virginity is sold to top bidder. Welcome to INDIA.

There should be a test before people put comments for real.

  • @1235788888

    ok i am retard

so first you have to clear the test

  • Truth is stranger than perception

  • Truth is stranger than perception

  • @karunank1 Shut up ugly mallu useless lunatic mallu bastard.

  • they need to just remove the dislike button. Fuck the haters!

  • @mik3ydumas They are unknown losers

  • She oozes of pomp.

  • The only causes worth fighting for in life are the lost causes. and she knows that and is fighting for. yes at times it may look like she is overdoing it but didnt people say the same for naom chomsky. the truth is for proper functioning of a democratic country we need people like them who act like a check on the uninterrupted power the govt uses for its own benefits.

  • i would marry this ho!

  • All she can do is to complain and live in her fictional world along with dalits and maoists bashing democracies

  • @bissousmosh so true, that's why those western peacenik office sitters adore that bitch.

  • @bissousmosh

  • @karunank1

At the very least she knows her grammar, you illiterate pustule.

  • @Chronone That bitch can teach u some "grammar for dickheads", faggot pukie.

  • @karunank1

What the heck is a pukie?

  • :As from a land where we surrendered terrorism ,all I still say is Arundati Roy is a true humanist... Regarding terrorism, she asks why terrorism started? In Sri Lanka we could fight against terrorism, because we could see the root of it... In your country too see the root of terrorism, then you guys can get out of it... Don't blame Arundati roy for that... it is entirely your country's weakness. Does arundati Roy run your country now? like Mahatma ghandhi did long ago?

  • @Jz473 in a way she does, but everyone who stands for something must have some corruption behind them at least to get them where they are. but for rohitshaikh to call her a terrorist is a complete waste of words, because one day she might do something for the world that you will appreciate and you will take for granted.

  • This woman makes me just want to cry. And whoever keeps throwing around the word terrorist like they know what it means needs some serious self awakening. Go out into the world and discover what a real terrorist is. You might just shit your pants a few times. The reason why most of us will die before it happens is because there aren't too many go getters in the world like Arundhati Roy

  • @crackring209 she is bitch reason you and your family will get killed because

there are people like arundhati roy living among us who support terrorism and call themself activist.

  • @rohitshaikh i dont have time for people like you honestly..im going to work. way to ruin my morning asshole. peace

  • @crackring209 yes you keep on supporting people like arundhati roy and

keep reading her fine literature but for men, women, children and there families killed at hands of terrorist in mumbai and by maoist in other parts of india thats not a option.

she provided justification to mumbai carnage and countinues to support maoist terror in india . think what kind of person she is, and you support her think how ignorant and self centric you are .

  • @crackring209 thus I think you may change your mind only when yourself or your

family suffers from the very own terrorist she provides justification.

    again good luck till then

  • @rohitshaikh well excuse me but i know exactly what thats like. i live in a place in america where people in my neighborhood die in the hands of their own people. it notorious for that in fact, much of the violence is caused by the government in my neighborhood and their attempt to keep their pockets full. shes now part of a powerful group that believes in overthrowing the corrupted government that everyone in the world has dealt with. even us ignorant americans

  • @crackring209 do you know USSR communist also said same things before there rule and suppression millions of people later under there rule.

trick is not to overthrow current democratic setup but by correcting it by democratic means.

arundhati roy supports the former by violent means at least she justifies it if carried out by some terror groups

she even blames American government for 9/11 attacks and killing of 4000 thousand innocents.

  • @rohitshaikh ive heard the american 9/11 conspiracy before plenty of times. chill out. thousands of people in my neighborhhood here in new york were affected by 9/11. she blames the american government..im not saying anything nice about the american government in fact im totally against it as i said before. but america did not do this and you wouldnt understand.

  • @rohitshaikh this democratic setup is not working for america. if every other country in the world wants to say you americans are so violent, so corrupt..its only because we do it better than you.

  • @crackring209 I am not american but I dont hate america

what america is doing maybe wrong for people in some arab countries but

    definetly good for america ,

they just insured energy security by invading IRAQ .

people like you can only complain about all freedom you get just becouse you like to read some idealistic shit from people like arundhati roy

be real and dont abandon your land like a traitor , if you find something wrong make sure you work in constructive manner.

  • @rohitshaikh i am the first to abandon something that has abandoned me for years. and constructive criticism does not work for americans. i have had a very good indian friend for the past 12 years. he has a restaurant here and when we first met he was doing great and saying how miserable he was in his country. now he contemplating moving back because he says its just not worth living here anymore. im not a traitor i just wasnt born with a silver spoon in my mouth like plenty of other americans.

  • do you know why you can criticis america this while safely enjoying all good provided by your country . democracy is reason for that no matter how flawed it may be you have to work to make it better . this is what people like arundhati roy dont want you to understand , they want to change the complete democratic setup for few flaws in it, and may be replace it with come communist type dictorship

when you will be killed for first comment you write against goverment.

  • @rohitshaikh i do not enjoy what goes on in this society. im pretty young but when i was a child i remember when the american economy was the richest in the world.i can admit that for a few years of my life i lived in a carefree world thats for sure. that was my happy go life thus far, now everything is changing and the fact that i live in new york, especially in my hood everyday i feel like im becoming more of a prisoner in my own home.

  • @ the way democracy is being run here is putting more crime into my neighborhood. a million little things changing around you is really nothing to other people observing until you look at what it was like ten years ago and realize nothing is the way it used to be. and i wont be killed because this is common knowledge. I know my phone lines have been tapped before ive had people follow me. One thing im not doing anymore is living in a free country. that part is complete bullshit.

  • terrorist woman

  • This is one of my favorite quotes by anyone. Arundhati Roy is an amazing woman.

  • It is not about fame that is admirable... It is not the war or the intelligence...

It is how she sees the humanity through inhuman values valued by the world...

Leave wars and Hamas for a second and see how she how she explains the blackness in the Caste system... Can you think of a human as a human? without the barriers of caste, religion and politics... man then you have reached her level!

  • @Jz473 lunatic arundhati will held press conference to support terrorist when they kill your family them you will really appreciate her intelligence.

    good luck till then

  • I wish Arundhati Roy spend one wek in Hamas Gaza and another in Sderot.

  • Comment removed

  • this bitch loves violence and watching innocents getting killed

  • @IronGuy100 really?! do you know her personally?! or are you just another angry person misinterpreting something you don't understand. for someone who's so personally affronted by violence and terror, you're pretty quick to resort to vulgar defamations to describe someone you don't even know. i'm overawed by your salient intellectualism.

  • I am not the only one saying it. Even an intellectual like Salman Rushdie said that. This woman is just looking for cheap glory the shortest way possible

  • @IronGuy100 what is it exactly about her and her beliefs that you find so questionable?

  • I said it already...she loves to watch people getting killed

  • @IronGuy100 i'm sure thats exactly how mr rushdie would put it.

  • @rohitshaikh

this is true, and as much as I respect her...I'm not gonna be an ignorant idiot and hit the "thumbs down"

  • @rohitshaikh She is a vile terrorist supporting woman. Put her in prison and throw the keys away !!!!

  • @theworldvideos1

a thousand of you will die before that happens!

  • @IronGuy100 you're an idiot.

  • telling the truth

  • I recently read "The God of Small Things" and I loved it. The way she uses the English language is incredible and the way she expresses her thought is just wonderful. I just couldn't put that book down, it was too good.

  • @Kasarachi : Perhaps u r right. Her English is very strong and her way of expression in English too... I think u liked her knowledge of English more than the content of the book, which doesn't astonishes me.... I like her English too but I don't like her view about India and her explanation of Indian view on Kashmir... Kashmir was and is a part of India and it will be....Sorry Arundhati, Here I disagree with you......

  • @rahulforworld No, No. I loved the story. Is her way of writing captivating? Yes, it is. However, I loved the story itself. Now her views on political issues; that's a different matter.

  • @rahulforworld But why?

  • @rahulforworld...I read her book once when I was in my twenties and i thought the same as you. But at 32 having read it again, i see myself opening up to more layers of thought embedded in that book....Maybe you will too.

  • @rahulforworld As for her position in Kashmir, if you look at it from outside of this 'kashmir hamara hai' drummed into us since childhood, you might see that when "India" was formed, Kashmir was not given a choice to stay independent, and the decision to "join" India was made by its KING. Not its people, but the KING. Is that democracy? The point of being a united country is that you WANT to be part of it. Forcing someone to be a part of something they dont want is not what My BHARAT is.

  • @rahulforworld factually though Kashmir was not always part of India. J&K, princely state. I understand if you are saying you accept the accession to India, you don't think it was coerced or whatever, but Nehru's attachment to Kashmir is not INDIA's attachment to Kashmir. He said Kashmir is to him like Callais to Queen Mary. Yet Callais is not part of the British kingdom and the Brits are not spilling blood to keep at it.

  • @derdriui I don't know what history book you refer but I am confirmed that kashmir was part of Indian culture since very long. The name kashmir itself came from a rishi named kashyap. Anyway, I will suggest you to read the history again and this time please refer some authentic book.

  • @Kasarachi thats gr8

  • lovely

  • she is so wonderful. Now i wish she would donate the money she made from her book deals, to the poor impoverished dalits and muslims of india, since she cares so deeply about them. THat would be a true humanitarian and a selfless person.

  • She has and continues to donate money to many causes, including those of the dalits

  • @tolykozin she did

  • happy birthday to Arundhati Roy!

  • eloquent... beautiful... these are words of wisdom... words to live by... really live...

  • wat about killing of muslims by india and america and israel hypocites

  • Very nice,Thanks

  • she is amazing...brilliant.

  • She's fantastic. she writes beautifully.

'The God of Small Things' is my favourite book!

  • If a person who says true things, also happens to be full of themselves, it does not make the things they've said any less true. To notice that a person is full of themselves, and to disregard the content of their words, is to miss the opportunity to learn from them. Finally, how do you know she is full of herself? You are not her. It is not for you to decide.

  • Yes true

  • anti national

  • Wonderful

  • She is HOT !!

  • Karmandil, you are such a racist and sick in your head. If there is anything you do not approve to or like, say it in a logical argumentative way, not pouring your pathetic racist personal views.

  • Countries and borders are formed and separated at the whims of governments and men all the time.

  • in your wet dreams maybe. Anti-Globalisation mad dogs xD

  • very true. I wish her sharia dream land materializes soon.

  • awesome! she's so, so, so awesome!

  • Her sanity can be mistaken for disillusion and insanity, or disconnection with reality, she could be the most intelligent sane person around that we view it as an impossibility and unacceptable, and find her sagacious and prying mind a bother. She looks like a crazy woman, but she is also really beautiful.

  • I have just picked up Roy's novel, the God of Small Things, and her first few pages is extremely visual and vivid. Her wonderings and introspection goes in an unknown direction that's hardly travelled, giving her prose a rare dimension. I'm hoping to be swept up by her sublimely contrived plot to a reeling state of headiness.

  • She is a woman of great intelligence, magnanimity and so very beautiful...it is rare to find a woman like her...
